Your RadioShack 2-Channel FM Wireless Intercom is
convenientand easy to use.Installationis quick andsimple.
Simply plug each of the two supplied stationsinto a
standard three-wire AC outlet, and you are ready to send
and receive callsor monitor an area where a station is
installed. Each of your intercom’s stations has the following
features:
Adjustable Volume Control — allows you to alter the
volume to suit the noise levelin the room.
Lockable Talk Bar — allows you to talk to or monitor a
room hands-free.
Call Tone — alerts other stations before you start talking.
Desk or Wall Mounting Capabilities — provide easy,
convenient placement of stations.
Your intercom is ETL listed and meets all applicable FCC
standards.

You caninstall the stations almost anywhere there is a
standard AC outlet. Simply plug each station into an outlet
andplaceitdirectlyonadesk,shelf,tableoronawall.
MOUNTING
To mounta station on the wall, you need two screws (not
supplied) with heads that fit into the keyhole slots on the
bottom of the stations.
1. Select a location for the station. Mark the mounting
screw locations on the wall 2 inches (50.8 mm) apart,
one abovethe other.
2. Drill holes at the marked locations.

Stations can transmit up to 300
feet and between buildings as long
as they are connectedto the same
power line transformer.

Make sure you install the stations
at least 10 feet away from each
other. Placing the stations too
close together produces feedback
and creates a squealing sound.

Each station has two channels, so you can select which
station you want to communicate with. You can also use a
station to monitor sounds near another station.
For example, you could set a station installedin the kitchen
to ChannelA and a station installed in the family room to
Channel B. Using the station installed in the kitchen, you
can communicate with thestation in the family room by
setting the channel selector to B.
Set the channel selector on each station as follows:
• If you want all the stations to communicate with each
other at the same time, set all stations to the same
channel.
• If you want to use a station to communicate with only
one of the other stations, set only those stations to the
same channel.

Rotate VOLUME counterclockwise until it clicks. Then adjust
VOLUME to a comfortable listeninglevel. To turn off the
station, rotate
VOLUME clockwise until it clicks.
CALLING ANOTHER STATION
1. Set the channel selector to the channel (A or B) for the
station you are calling.
2. Press
CALL. The station that is on and set to the
selected channel sounds a tone.
3. Hold down
you finish speaking, release
TALK and speak in a normal voice. When
TALK and listen for the

MONITORING
You canset any station so it continuously transmits sounds
from the area where it is locatedto anotherstation. For
example, you could set the s tation in a baby’s bedroom,
then use the stationin the kitchen to monitor the sounds. Ô

• Only one party can talk on a
channel at a time.
• The TX indicator on the station
you are using remains lit as long
as you hold down TALK or
CALL, or when you press
LOCK.
• Set the channel selector backto
your designated channel after
you finish talking, so others can
easily reach you.
• You can monitor only one
station at a time.
• The TX indicator stays lit until
you press CALL or TALK.This
lets you know that the station is
transmitting.
• After pressing LOCK on a
station, you cannot call or talkto
that station until you press
TALK or CALL to release the
lock.
1. Press
LOCK on the station in the area you want to
monitor. The TX indicator lights. Ô
2. Set the channel selectors on both stations to the same
channel.
3. When you finish monitoring, release the lock by
pressing
TALK or CALL on the station in the area you
are monitoring. The TX indicator turns off. Ô
USING ADDITIONAL STATIONS
You canadd additional stations to your intercom system as
long as they transmit on the same frequency. The stations
and their box are labeled to indicate each station’s
frequency – A (200 kHz), B (270 kHz). Stations in the same
box have the same frequency.
Be sure the letter on the stationsyou plan to add matches
the letteron your current stations. If you want to set up a
separate intercom system, however, be sure it operates on
a differentfrequency.
Care
Keep the intercom dry; if it gets wet,
wipe it dry immediately. Use and
store the intercom only in normal
temperature environments. Handle
the intercom carefully; do not drop it.
Keep the intercom away from dust
and dirt, and wipe it with a damp cloth
occasionally to keep it looking new.
Service and Repair
If your intercom is not performing as
it should, take it to your local
RadioShack store for assistance. To
locate your nearest RadioShack, use
the store locator feature on
RadioShack's website
(www.radioshack.com), or call 1-800The Shack (843-7422) and follow the
menu options. Modifying or
tampering with the intercom's internal
components can cause a malfunction
and might invalidate its warranty and
void your FCC authorization to
operate it.

Limited Ninety-Day Warranty
This product is warranted by RadioShack
against manufacturing defects in material and
workmanship under normal use for ninety (90)
days from the date of purchase from RadioShack company-owned stores and authorized RadioShack franchisees and dealers.

In the event of a product defect during the warranty period, take the product and the RadioShack sales receipt as proof of purchase

(a) correct the defect by product repair without
charge for parts and labor; (b) replace the product with one of the sameor similar design; or (c)
refund the purchase price. All replaced parts
and products, and productson which a refund is

New or reconditioned parts and products may
be used in the performance of warranty service.
Repaired or replaced parts and products are
warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for repair or

Your intercom system might cause TV or radio interference
even when it is operating properly. To determine whether
yourstationsare causingtheinterference, turnthemoff.Ifthe
interference goes away, your stations are causing it. Try to
eliminatethe interference by:
• Moving both stations away from the receiver
• Connecting the stations to outlets that are on a different
electrical circuit from the receiver
Thisequipmenthas beentestedand foundto comply with the
limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the
FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable
protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate
radio frequency energy and,if not installedand used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee thatinterference will not
occurin a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interferenceto radio or television reception, which
