This system is able to induce an acoustic pressure exceeding 85 dB (LAeq,T), this is the maximum sound pressure level which your ear can be exposed to during a work day in almost all countries. According to the safety at work medicine higher sound levels or longer exposition times could damage your ear. The time of exposition by higher sound pressure levels should be shortened in order to prevent from ear damages. A few reliable warning signals which show that you have exposed yourself for a too long period to excessive sound pressure levels are: You hear bell or whistling sounds! You have the impression that you can’t hear high tones anymore!

The following table can help you to know which kind of sound, dB sound pressure level and time of exposure are typically permissible by human ears:

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing this PROEL product and for your trust in our brand, synonymous of professionalism, accuracy, high quality and reliability. All our products are CE approved and designed for continuous use in professional systems.

DESCRIPTION

The RM3000TR is a UHF PLL controlled Wireless In ear Monitoring System providing a reliable and high quality signal transmission.

RM3000TR features 2 units: RM3000 transmitter and RM3000R body pack receiver. The system is equipped as follow:

RM3000TR: RM3000 + RM3000R + EB10 earphones + AC/DC adaptor + carrying case

RM3000R: RM3000R + EB10 earphones (optional second receiver)

EB10: optional spare earphones

8 channel frequencies are available, allowing the possibility to use the apparatus with other wireless equipment.

RM3000TR TRANSMITTER

See FIG. 1 at page 15:

1.ANTENNA This is the transmitting antenna. Use only the antenna supplied with the system, screw it in and raise it up during the use. In order to obtain an optimal reception, place the transmitter away from other metal and no more than 50 mt. away from the receiver.

2.12 15V DC Socket for the AC/DC adaptor connection: use only the adaptor supplied with the system.

3.RF POWER This selector sets the radio frequency carrier output power. Three levels are available: L as Low for an RF power < 10mW

M as Medium for an RF power < 50mW H as High for an RF power < 100mW

NOTE: for all European countries only L setting can be used.

4.L INPUT (combo XLR JACK input BALANCED) Left channel input: this is a female combo connector that accepts a XLR or a JACK plug from almost any type of equipment with a balanced or unbalanced outputs. The XLR input is wired as follows:Pin 1 = shield or ground

Pin 2 = + positive or "hot"Pin 3 = negative or "cold" The JACK input is wired as follows:Tip = + positive or "hot"Ring = negative or "cold" Sleeve = shield or ground

When connecting an unbalanced signal, the connector must be wired as follows:Pin2 / Tip = + positive or "hot"

Pin 1 3 / Sleeve = shield or ground

5.R INPUT (combo XLR JACK input BALANCED) Same as above for the Right channel.

6.L OUTPUT (XLR output BALANCED) This connector provides a balanced line level signal from the L INPUT. Connect this to the input of another audio equipment or another RM3000 transmitter.

7

7.R OUTPUT (XLR output BALANCED) Same as above for the R INPUT.

8.POWER ON/OFF switch: the LED shows the ON or OFF status of the transmitter.

9.PHONES Auxiliary headphones output.

10.PHONES VOLUME Volume potentiometer for the auxiliary headphones output.

11.MONO/STEREO This switch combines the L & R inputs together and sends the resulting mono signal to both L & R earphones channels. In case of a single channel input (L or R) this switch must be pressed in order to send the same signal to both L & R earphones channels.

12.L INPUT METER 5 LED bar meter of L channel showing the input level. The last RED LED light up just above the nominal input signal (+5 dBu): for getting the optimal RF transmission dynamic range, reduce the level of input signal if the red LED lights.

13.R INPUT METER Same as above for the R input channel.

NOTE: the bar LED shows the signal just before the RF transmitter channels, so after the MONO / STEREO and the +10dB / 0dB switches.

14.+10 / 0 dB GAIN When engaged this switch enhances the input signal of 10 dB: use it in case of low level input signals.

15.CHANNEL SELECT These switches are used for selecting the transmission channel: press and hold the UP or DOWN switch until the display flashes, then press again the UP or DOWN switch to scroll the channels. After 6 seconds, if no one switch is pressed, the display lights steady and the transmission starts on the selected channel.

16.CHANNEL DISPLAY The 2 digit display shows the selected channel.

RM3000R BODY PACK RECEIVER

17.ANTENNA This is the receiving antenna. It is short and flexible for the maximum user comfort: do not force it.

18.EARPHONES VOLUME This control sets the earphones output level. We suggest to set a comfortable but not excessive level, in order to avoid to stress or damage your ears. Read the safety notes at the beginning of this manual.

19.TONE Use the TONE switch to EQ the signal. Four choices are available:1. BASS and HIGH enhanced.

2. HIGH enhanced.3. BASS enhanced.4. FLAT response.

20.BATTERY COVER Sliding down the lower part of the bodypack you can access the battery compartment.

21.POWER INDICATOR This orange LED lights when the receiver is turned on.

22.BATTERY LOW This red LED lights when the batteries are exhausted: replace the batteries as soon as possible.

8

23.RF This green LED shows when the radio frequency signal is received:

The LED is ON if the RM3000 transmitter is switched on and set to the same channel as the receiver. The LED is OFF if the RM3000 transmitter is switched off or set to a different channel. If the RM3000 transmitter is switched OFF and this LED is ON, there is probably another RF equipment transmitting on the same RF channel: select a different channel frequency.

24.LCD DISPLAY

The LCD display shows various information:

The batteries are fully charged and you have 5 8 hours of working time using alkaline batteries.

The batteries are half charged and you have 2 5 hours of working time using alkaline batteries.

The batteries are almost discharged and you have 0 2 hours of working time using alkaline

batteries. Batteries replacement is suggested as soon as possible. The RF signal is well received.

The RF signal is low: place the RM3000 transmitter closer to the receiver.

The earphones limiter is OFF.

The earphones limiter is ON. The earphones limiter avoids the signal peaks and reduces the distortion for a more comfortable use of the earphones. Please note that the limiter doesn’t protect your

ears from high sound levels that could damage your ears.

The signal sent to the earphones is STEREO, with different signal for the left and the right

ear.

The signal sent to the earphones is MONO and it is the same for left and the right ears. The mono signal is obtained combining L and R signals at the receiver (instead of using the MONO/STEREO

(11) switch, where L and R signals are combined at the transmitter inputs). Channel number and its corresponding frequency: use the same channel as in the RM3000TR transmitter. You can choose any of the 8 channels available in the 863 865 MHz band.

25.DOWN Press and hold this button to access the display function (LIM is flashing). When a function is flashing use this button to de activate the function (LIM or STEREO) or to choose the previous channel.

26.UP Press and hold this button to access the display function (LIM is flashing). When a function is flashing use it to activate the function (LIM or STEREO) or to choose the next channel.

27.ON/OFF Press and hold this button to turn on and turn off the RM3000R receiver. When the LIM function is flashing (see above), press it to choose the next function.

28.EARPHONE OUT Connect the earphone to this mini jack output. The earphone impedance must be 16 ohm or bigger.

29.LINE OUT If you need to connect another audio equipment you can use this line output. This is a mini jack output terminated in this way: Shield – GND, Ring – RIGHT, Tip – LEFT. DO NOT connect a earphone to this output.

30.This is the spring for wearing the bodypack: fix it to a belt, strap or dress in vertical position.
