PARTS IDENTIFICATION
PRECAUTIONS
Connect to a 13amp socket outlet. Unplug when not in use.
Always keep pan bottom and heating plate clean and dry. Any foreign
matter between them will cause the cooker to malfunction.
NOTE: Always wipe down the outer surface of the inner pan. If the pan is wet when placed into the cooker it may cause a cracking noise as the unit heats up.
Do not immerse the cord or base unit in water.
During cooking, the vent on the glass lid will emit steam do not put your
hands or face close to it. Never place any object on the outer lid as this may obstruct the vent.
Do not touch hot surfaces use oven gloves when removing the lid or inner pan.
Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children or infirm persons.
Unplug from the outlet before cleani ng .
Do not operate the appliance when empty.
Switch off and remove the plug from the power outlet before cleaning or
when not in use. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the power outlet. Never pull the cord. Never carry the appliance by the cord.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
The use of attachments or accessories that are not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
Operate on a level surface. Operating on sinks, drain boards or uneven surfaces must be avoided.
Do not use any appliance for anything other than its intended use. This product is intended for household use only.
Caution should be taken when handling this appliance as some surfaces may be hot during and immediately after cooking.
Do not place any part of this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
Allow to cool before cleaning.
Use only suitable utensils for non-stick surfaces to avoid scratching.
If the supply cord of this appliance is damaged, it must only be replaced by
a qualified electrician.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the appliance. There are no user
serviceable parts.
Do not use ‘WARM’ function to reheat cold rice or other foods.
Do not leave the plastic spoon or measuring cup in the inner pan while on
and in use.
HOW TO USE
1 Measure rice with the measuring cup and wash in a separate bowl.
Be sure to measure out rice precisely with the measuring cup.
Do not wash rice in the pan as this may affect the special coating of the pan.
2 The scale that is marked on the inside of the pan is a guide for the water level.
To the left of the scale are measurements in litres.
To the right of the scale are measurements in cups.
When adding rice to the rice c ooker the same a m ount of water to rice
must also be added. For example for four cupfuls of rice, four cups of water most also be added. When the 4 cupfuls of water and 4 cupfuls of rice are added to the pan they combined will reach the (cup) 4 marking on the inside of the pan. Equal amount of water to rice will result in perfect rice each time!
3 Place the pan in the body
Be sure to wipe dry the outside of the pan, particularly the bottom of it. Then
place the pan into the body, make sure that it comes into close contact with the heating plate.
4 Place the glass lid on top of the rice cooker.
6 Attach the AC Cord to the cooker and plug in. Ensure the switch is down. The ‘Cook’
light tells you cooking has started. As soon as cooker is plugged in and switched on the rice will automatically start cooking
7 When the rice is cooked, the switch will flick upwards. The ‘Warm’ light lights up to signal the ‘Warm’ function is on.
The ‘Warm’ function continues until unplugged.
8 After cooking has finished, you may leave covered for at least 15 minutes to steam rice. It may be necessary to leave brown rice for at least 15 minutes as it takes slightly longer to prepare.
