HOW TO INSER T TH E BLADES

CAUTION: Never insert or remove blades while knife is plugged into electrical outlet. HANDLING BLADES: Always hold with the serrated blades away from you. Fasten the two
blades together at the front end by sliding the rivet head on one blade into the slot in the other blade. Slide blades together until both plastic grease guards are in line. Insert unsharpened ends of the blades into the slot in the front of the knife. This is done with maximum ease and safety by grasping the plastic grease guards between thumb and forefinger with the serrated edges of the blades down and away from you (see above illustration). Push both blades into the slot until both click into place. If one blade clicks in the locked position before the other, just slide the unseated blade further into the knife by pushing on its grease guard. Plug cord into any local voltage AC outlet.

TO REMOVE BLADES

Disconnect knife from electrical outlet. Grasp plastic grease guards with serrated edges of blades away from you. Press blade release button on front of handle and withdraw blades from knife end.

HOW TO USE YOUR ELECTRIC SLICING KNIFE

Place knife directly on the food to be sliced. Your knife will begin to cut when you squeeze the 2 switches (2 + 3) and stops the moment you release them. Now just guide the knife: you do not have to apply any pressure; let your knife do the work. Slice down or sideways, whichever is appropriate for the food you are carving. SUGGESTION: It is best to carve on a cutting board to protect the blades and to avoid scratching metal or possibly chipping plates.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR ELECTRIC KNIFE

HANDLE: wipe with a clean damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. BLADES: wash them as you would any other fine carving knife. NOTE: your knife never needs lubrication.
