Life, intensified
There are those who understand that power is derived from precision. That acceleration is a form of relaxation.
And satisfaction is found around every corner.
No question. This is who we created the new Macan for.
For the passionate, the driven.
After all, life is not a spectator sport.
Room for everything. Except compromise.
Macan concept.
At Porsche, we’ve never believed in bigger simply for the sake of size. Our sports cars have tended to be compact, no larger than needed to fulfill the aims of performance, comfort, and utility. There’s an intensity of purpose to a Porsche that you can trace directly to this mindset.
We suspect that many of you may look at life the same way: The more
intense and focused, the more pleasure you derive from each moment.
That is the attitude embodied in our newest Porsche, the Macan.
It is the compact SUV as only Porsche engineers could have imagined it.
Concentrated and intense, but still powerful and versatile. As efficient as possible—given the priorities of passenger safety and comfort. We designed Macan to give you ample room for active lifestyles. But when it came to performance, we left no room for compromise.
Macan. The first true sports car among compact SUVs. A sports car that distills the race-bred performance of Porsche into a 5-door, 5-passenger SUV that is practical enough for
every day, yet never ordinary.
The new Macan has emerged in two distinct forms: the ultra sporty Macan S and the high-performance
Macan Turbo. Each one unmistakable in its own segment. Each one a Porsche—from design and driving dynamics to equipment specification.
The new Macan. Life, intensified.
10 | Life, intensified Macan concept
Totally new, yet unmistakable for anything but a Porsche.
Exterior design.
What makes a Porsche a Porsche? The fact that it is instantly recognizable, some would answer. Others might say it’s the face that stands out from the crowd.
Our designers would say that it’s the Porsche DNA, an encoding of essential traits passed from generation to generation.
It’s a design language articulated across 65 years of Porsche sports car evolution. It originated in the mind of our founders, and through constant refinement in both the wind tunnel and on the racetrack, it’s given every Porsche its own unmistakable character. And with the new Macan,
our development of it continues.
The Macan clearly shows the dominant genes. The Porsche design traits include the characteristic headlights integrated in the hood. And the large air intakes
in the front fascia are just waiting to inhale life. Every single second.
The hood stretches through to the wheel arches. This lends the front a broad
and powerful presence reminiscent of the legendary Porsche 917, a race car which won countless victories
in the early 1970s—including at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it held the distance record for 39 years.
The taut profile is typically Porsche, too. Every line seems to give it the sense of a predator ready to pounce, metal forms appearing as muscles flexed. The roofline slopes distinctively down toward the rear, drawing what our designers call the “Porsche flyline.”
A visual highlight is the side blades. With these, the new Macan design pays homage to the Porsche 918 Spyder. The
blades make the proportions of the doors appear narrower and the flanks sleeker and sportier. Side blades are available with a Lava Black finish, in the exterior color of the vehicle, or—for a particularly exclusive statement—in Carbon Fiber.
In sizes of up to 21 inches, the wheels of the Macan are equally eye-catching. Each Macan model is instantly identifiable by the color of its brake calipers: silver on the Macan S or red on the Macan Turbo.

At the rear, the Porsche design DNA again reveals itself: slender at the top, widening into broad shoulders above the rear wheels—an homage to the 911. The styling of the rear hatch gives the rear end a particularly harmonious look. For convenience, the rear hatch on both Macan models is equipped with an automatic powerlift function. The narrow LED taillights have threedimensional proportions, which gives them an extraordinary appearance of
depth—and captures your attention. The overall effect is to make the Macan look low, wide, and intimate with the road— befitting the character of a Porsche.
Of course, our engineers took great care to ensure that the interior of the Macan is just as intense.

Designed around the driver.
And those driven to enjoy the finer things in life.
Interior design.
If there’s one thing our racing experience reinforces, it is that driver and car
must form a single entity. You don’t simply sit in the Macan—the ergonomic architecture integrates you into the vehicle. The positioning of the driver seat high above the road does not translate into a loss of intimacy with it.
The three-dimensional arrangement of the controls lends the Macan interior a cockpit-style layout. The essentials are seen at a glance. Within the instrument panel’s three-tube design, the tachometer is centrally positioned.
To the right is the 4.8-inch color screen, which, among other things, displays information from the onboard computer.
Thanks to the ascending center console, the PDK shifter and other important vehicle functions are easily within the Macan driver’s intuitive grasp. In Porsche tradition, the ignition switch is positioned to the driver’s left, next to the steering wheel.
16 | Life, intensified Macan design
The newly developed 3-spoke, multifunction Sport steering wheel echoes the design of the 918 Spyder. It’s also inspired by an established racing principle:
Keep your hands on the wheel. Two manually operated and ergonomically positioned gearshift paddles enable fast and sporty gear changes.
Sound and navigation systems follow the ergonomics philosophy. Equipped with a high-resolution color touchscreen, they offer intuitive ease of use.
With the versatile 3-way split-folding rear bench seat—ratio 40 : 20 : 40—you can adapt the Macan perfectly to your needs.
And with a diverse selection of options, you can make the interior of your Macan even more individual. The palette of materials and decors ranges from classic to sporty. For an exclusive ambience, you could have the interior of your Macan lined in Leather in various ways or have the decor refined with the elegant Dark Walnut Wood. For a theme that places the emphasis on sport, choose Carbon Fiber or Brushed Aluminum. The interior of the new Macan is yours to intensify.

Where it comes from, valuable seconds count. Where it wants to go, valuable moments matter.
Macan principle.
Macan brings Porsche levels of performance to those whose lives demand a compact SUV for everyday driving.
For Porsche, that journey began at the racetrack. It’s a development lab, where our engineers fight to save every tenth of a second and every
ounce in weight. The knowledge gained through endurance racing infuses our production models with exceptional efficiency and performance.
We’ve known since 1948 that nobody wins on horsepower alone, whether it’s on the racetrack or in everyday life. Our goal is to create a driving feel that only a Porsche can provide. Driving that delivers considerable
agility and dynamics, but always with safety in mind. We achieve these goals with highly efficient engines, outstanding driving features, and the relentless will to push boundaries.
The Macan engines are characterized not only by their impressive performance and high efficiency, but, above all, by the typical resonance of their sound. The power of the new Macan models
is transmitted to the road by active allwheel drive. This system sets standards for driving dynamics and stability.
To deliver even greater traction and agility, staggered wheel sizes come standard—as seen on the 911.

Both Macan S and Macan Turbo come standard with the 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. It lets you experience motorsportstyle gear shifts, which take place in milliseconds and with no interruption in the flow of power. The system also features a coasting mode, which
reduces fuel consumption and emissions when the driving situation allows. The Auto Start Stop function, intelligent thermal management, and many more technical measures also contribute
to the efficiency of the Macan.
The steel-spring suspension that’s standard on Macan S helps to provide the driving precision and performance expected from a Porsche. As an option (standard on Macan Turbo), it can be upgraded to include optional Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). At the push of a button, the shock absorbers respond even more precisely to the current driving style.
For even greater dynamic performance and a higher level of ride comfort, an
Air Suspension is available. With this suspension, Macan sits 15 mm lower. The three-position ride-height adjustment capability enables you to adapt it optimally to the driving situation.
Optional Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) lets you feel the vehicle’s intensity in action. Operating in conjunction with an electronically controlled rear differential lock, the system works by varying the torque distribution to the rear wheels.
You’ll feel significantly improved handling and steering precision, along with increased agility, when Macan tracks through a corner.
Naturally, active safety also follows the Macan principle—and, in doing so, fulfills the requirements of a sports car. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) is standard. PSM helps to ensure stability at the limits of sporty performance. And as is expected from a Porsche, the Macan braking system produces remarkable stopping power.
Optional driver assistance systems relieve some of the demands on the driver. Adaptive Cruise Control including Porsche Active Safe (PAS) regulates the speed of your vehicle in line with the speed of the vehicle in front. Lane Change Assist monitors your blind spots, while Lane Keep Assist monitors the distance from your Macan to divider line markings on the road.
Porsche Car Connect is available as an option. This remote service provides you with all the important information about your Macan—not just when you’re behind the wheel.
Other digital functionalities of the Macan include the ability to log on to social networks or search for a Point of Interest and then select it directly as your navigation destination.
22 | Life, intensified Macan principle
With 400 horsepower, it’s performance beyond anything in the segment.
Macan Turbo.
The design of the Macan Turbo is a visual promise of immense performance: the distinctly muscular front fascia, the air blades inset into large air intakes, the
Bi-Xenon™ headlights with dynamic cornering lights, the extraordinary four-spot LED daytime running lights. Just how immense is indicated by the “turbo” logo on the rear hatch. The 3.6-liter, 400-hp, twin-turbo V6 engine propels the Macan Turbo from
0–60 mph in a mere 4.6 seconds. Top track speed is 164 mph. Those aren’t simply raw numbers, but record figures for performance in this segment.
Macan Turbo also stands out thanks to its front spoiler lip, a design feature based on a detail found
on the Porsche 918 Spyder.
The turn signals and position lights have been integrated so they appear to hover inside the side air intakes. Below them are the LEDs of the fog lights. The side blades are painted in the exterior color of the body. SportDesign side skirts underline the powerful profile.
19-inch Macan Turbo wheels are standard. Behind these wheels are the red brake calipers of the large-diameter brakes. The steel-spring suspension is equipped, as standard, with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which enhances both sporty performance and ride comfort.
The Macan Turbo comes standard trimmed with the Leather Package, which emphasizes the exquisite quality of the interior. Another highlight is
Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation module and a large touchscreen. It comes as standard, just like the Bose® Surround Sound System. Offering a total output of
545 watts and with 14 loudspeakers including active subwoofer, it delivers a special listening experience.
The new Macan Turbo. Porsche performance in its most intense form.

The fact that it wears an “S” signifies something extraordinary.
Macan S.
Porsche traditionally has added the “S” only after it develops a new model that offers significant performance enhancements over the original. For Macan to receive that designation from the beginning is entirely justified: Macan S features a 3.0-liter, twinturbo V6 engine that generates
340 horsepower. It sprints from 0–60 mph in only 5.2 seconds. Top track speed is 156 mph. These are figures any sports car enthusiast would acknowledge are impressive. To achieve this level of performance within the compact SUV segment is even more remarkable.
Macan S is equipped with 19-inch Macan Design wheels. Its brake calipers are silver-colored. This high-performance athlete is also recognizable by the Macan S logo on the rear hatch—and on the door-entry guards in Aluminum.
Inside, the sporty theme is carried by the tachometer with silver-colored face. The CDR Plus audio system
integrated as standard features a highresolution 7-inch color touchscreen offering intuitive ease of use.
The performance character of the Macan S can be further celebrated with a range of options. The Sport Chrono
Package includes the Sport Plus button, one press of which tunes the engine for an even sharper response. The chassis and transmission also adapt their setup to Sport Plus mode. The package additionally comprises a stopwatch
and the Launch Control function for the fastest possible acceleration from a standing start. Another option is Porsche Communication Management (PCM). In this model, it is supplemented by a performance display showing lap times and other essential driving stats.
The new Macan S. For those who appreciate the utility of 340 horsepower.
