Connect DC Power
• Connect the AC adapter’s USB-A connector to unit’s USB-microB connector with bundled USB cable. Then connect the power plug on the other end to the power outlet.
• Start to charge the internal battery automatically. (150 min for full charge)
• The unit can play the music even though it is in charging status. The amount of time it takes to reach full charge will increase.
Power outlet
Caution
• Ensure that you only use the AC adaptor and USB cable provided with the unit. Connecting an AC adaptor with different specifications to the unit may prevent the internal battery from charging correctly, or lead to malfunctions or damage.
• Playing time with a fully charged battery changes depending on functions used, frequency of use, ambient temperature, speaker volume and other factors.
• The furnished battery can be recharged about 500 times, although it may be less depending on conditions of use and storage. If the time required to reach a full charge increases substantially, or playing time falls dramatically even after charging, the battery pack is at the end of its life. If you wish to replace the battery pack with a new one, please contact your nearest Pioneer authorized service center.
• When the AC adapter is not connected, the battery will slowly drain even when the unit is in the standby mode. If you are not going to use the unit for an extended period of time, charging it completely at least once every six months will prevent the battery from degrading. When doing this, the charge may take longer than normal.
Important
• Be sure to charge before using for the first time.
• Approximately 150 minutes are required to fully recharge the battery.
• A fully charged battery provides approximately 4 hours of use at maximum volume and approximately 7 hours at volume 10.

• Do not place anything easily effected by magnets close to the unit, such as cash cards or commuter tickets. The speakers do not have magnetic shielding, and their magnetic effects may prevent such items from functioning correctly.
• When transporting the unit, it is recommended that you protect it from scratches etc. by using the supplied carrying pouch.
Place of installation
• Do not place this unit on top of a TV or color monitor. Also, install it away from cassette decks and other devices easily affected by magnetic forces.
• Avoid the following locations:
•Places exposed to direct sunlight
•Humid or poorly ventilated places
•Extremely hot places
•Places exposed to vibrations
•Places in which there is much dust
•Places exposed to soot, steam, or heat (kitchens, etc.)
•When the volume on the unit is turned up, depending on the place of installation, the vibration from the speakers may cause the unit to move. Choose the place of installation carefully, and if necessary make use of the supplied non-slip sheet.
•Do not use the unit close to medical electronic equipment. The signals from the unit may disrupt the operation of said equipment.
•Do not remain in contact with the device for long periods while it is turned on. Doing so may lead to injury, including low temperature burns, due to the heat from the unit.
Do not place objects on this unit.
Do not place any objects on top of this unit. Do not attach this unit to the wall or ce ilin g. It may fall off and cause injury.
Do not obstruct the ventilation holes.

Cleaning the unit
• Unplug the power cord from the power outlet when cleaning this unit.
• Clean this unit using a soft cloth. For tough dirt, apply some neutral detergent diluted in 5 to 6 parts water to a soft cloth, wring out thoroughly, wipe off the dirt, and then wipe again with a soft, dry cloth.
• Alcohol, thinner, benzene, insecticides, etc., could cause the print or paint to peel off. Also, leaving rubber or vinyl products in contact with this unit for long periods of time could mar the cabinet.
• When using chemical-impregnated wipes, etc., read the cautions included with the wipes carefully.
Caring for the authentic leather parts of the XW-LF3
• Natural leather is prone to water damage, including loss or change of color. Friction or getting wet may cause the color to transfer to your clothing or other items. Dyes from clothes etc. may also transfer to the leather. When using the unit, do your best to keep it away from sweat, moisture and water.
• If the leather does get wet, absorb the water by pressing and wiping with a dry towel etc., then allow it to dry in a shady and aerated place. Using a source of extreme heat, such as a hairdryer, to dry it may lead to hardening of the leather and changes in its properties or shape; therefore such measures should never be used.
• Any dirt can be removed by gently wiping with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use any of the creams or wax etc. available on the market.
• Coming into contact with alcohol, thinner, benzene, insecticide etc. will cause the color of the leather to change, so do not allow this to happen.
• Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight. Doing so may lead to the leather changing shape, patches of uneven color, or becoming cracked.
• The leather may retain a distinctive odor for a while after purchase.
