Music Library

The AVIC-HD3BT’s HDD capabilities make for the perfect music platform. While playing a CD, the AVIC-HD3BT automatically copies (at 4 times the speed) the CD* to the HDD. In approximately 15 minutes the entire CD and labels are uploaded, while track titles, etc. are added thanks to Gracenote Database** autotitling. Furthermore, the AVIC-HD3BT boasts an advanced music interface, which allows you to search by track (max. 400 songs), album name (max. 400 playlists), artist name, genre (13 genres) and My Favourites (max. 4 playlists). It is also possible to play My Mix, which plays a random selection of favourite tracks. To enhance driving comfort, you can use Voice Command for all the basic functionalities within the Music Library.

DVD NAVIGATION AV BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY HEADUNIT

A perfect fit into a standard 1-DIN slot, the AVIC-X1BT welcomes you into a world of advanced precision navigation and in-car entertainment. While navigation routing and guidance are fast and accurate, its host of AV entertainment features, ranging from MP3 CD and DVD-Video to AM/FM radio, makes your ride even more pleasurable. Switching between AV and Navi is easy and can literally be done at the touch of a button. The AVIC-X1BT’s fully motorised 6.5-inch touch panel screen folds out of your dashboard. When closed, it blends discreetly into your dashboard, showing only basic information on the device’s sub-display. The front plate panel can easily be removed; all that remains

is a black panel that won’t attract thieves. To top it off, the integrated Bluetooth

wireless

technology enables you to use your mobile phone hands-free.

With the optional Voice Command pack, CD-VC1, you can give both audio/video and navigation voice instructions and control your complete in-car system without taking your hands off the wheel. Voice Recognition is available in 6 European languages, namely English, German, French, Italian, Dutch and Spanish.

The AVIC-HD3BT and AVIC-X1BT* boast the advanced dual zone feature, which allows you and your passengers to enjoy different AV sources at the same time. For example, while you and the front seat passenger listen to the radio, the rear seat passengers can watch a DVD or TV. They can even hook up a camcorder or a game console.

DVD NAVIGATION AV HEADUNIT

The AVIC-D3 combines Pioneer’s famed advanced navigation with awe-inspiring AV capabilities. With connectivity to numerous external sources and multi-format capabilities including MP3 and DivX, even the longest road trip will turn into a joyous adventure. Thanks to the handy front Aux-In connection, you can easily hook up a variety of external sources, such as portable audio players or iPod Video, without having to use the IP-Bus connection. Installation is easy: the AVIC-D3 slips effortlessly

into the standard double headunit slot of most cars. Once installed, it hardly comes out of your dashboard. With separately adjustable key and display illumination and Splash Screen customisation, the AVIC-D3 is set to match your personal preferences.

In certain countries, the AVIC-D3 will be sold in combination with the CD-BTB200 Bluetooth

adapter as the AVIC-D3BT.

Pioneer’s Perfect-ﬁ t

The AVIC-D3 slips effortlessly into the standard double headunit slot of most cars. Once installed, the AVIC-D3 hardly comes out of your dashboard. What’s more, the AVIC-D3 is a fully customisable unit with independent RGB (Red/Green/Blue) colour settings for both the keys and the display. With 32,768 possible colour combinations, you will surely  nd a colour combination to match your car interior and personal taste. In addition, the AVIC-D3 comes with 8 preset colour settings for the keys. For the display, 5 preset colours are available and you can even save your JPEG images to CD-R and upload them to have your personal wallpaper on the Splash screen.

For your peace of mind, the AVIC-D3 has even been  tted with anti-theft protection. Once the battery connection has been disconnected, the AVIC-D3 requires a password to start up again. To make things even better, the AVIC-D3 can be easily controlled via your car’s own hard-wired remote control with an optional remote control adapter.

3D Gyro Sensor Precision

Pioneer’s AVIC satellite navigation units are renowned for their precision. The unique and innovative built-in 3D Gyro Sensor connects to the speed pulse wire of your car. This allows the navigation system to take measurements in three directions: height (up/down), speed (distance) and direction (left/right). The sensor calculates inclines and detects special road features such as tunnels. As a result, the parameters given by your AVIC navigation unit are very precise. Another advantage is that when you are driving in an area with poor satellite reception – for example between high buildings, up in the mountains or in a parking garage – the system automatically calculates in all your car’s parameters to keep track of where you are, even when reception has been compromised.

2007 Map Coverage

The map coverage for all 2007 Pioneer navigation systems includes the whole of Europe – with more than 7 million kilometres across 26 countries. In addition, more than 1.5 million POIs (6.3 million for the AVIC-HD3BT) have been included, as well as house numbers for a large part of the covered areas. Furthermore, for the AVIC-HD3BT and AVIC-X1BT, detailed City Maps* are available for European capitals and major cities.

NAVIGATION

Built-in TMC (Trafﬁ c Message Channel)

Pioneer’s installed-type navigation units have a built-in TMC (Traf c Message Channel) receiver offering up-to-the-minute detailed traf c information. In countries where real-time TMC traf c information is broadcast, the system indicates the traf c events on the map within a range of 150 kilometres and presents you with an alternative route in order to avoid the traf c event. A special menu function lists all the current traf c events in the area and even sorts them by ‘Distance’ or ‘Event’. When the AVIC-X1BT and AVIC-D3 are in Memory Navi mode, TMC is now also available for the country you were in at the time of switching to Memory Navi mode, and for the country prior to that. The traf c information received while in Memory Navi mode only covers the area that has been stored in the memory. In addition, traf c lists will not be available. However, traf c icons will still appear on the map whenever a new message is received.

The AVIC-S2 covers the whole of Europe, including Eastern European countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Turkey and Greece). Because this information is nicely packed together on its 1 GB SD Memory Card, it can all be accessed fast and effortlessly. Include the 1.4 million POIs, and you are ready for discovery.

Viewing Modes

The AVIC-S2 offers you a clear and concise on-screen view of the navigation information required to take you swiftly from A to B. Two navigation viewing modes are available, namely a 2D map view and 3D map view. In addition, the AVIC-S2 allows for easy step-by-step angle switching between 2D and 3D.

Bluetooth® Wireless Technology

Offering the latest in hands-free telephony, the AVIC-S2 incorporates

wireless technology. Thanks to Bluetooth® wireless technology,

Bluetooth you can manage your mobile phone’s functionalities from your unit’s touch panel display, without the need for an additional installation kit or any wires. Simple and convenient, you can now manage your calls with both hands on the wheel.

User-friendly Touch Panel GUI, Hard-key Buttons And Voice Guidance

Based upon the Graphical User Interface (GUI) used in the installed-type AVIC units, the AVIC-S2’s handy on-screen buttons will guide you through its entire menu. Touch Panel technology has limited the hard-key buttons to the bare minimum, thus requiring minimal interaction between hardware and software. The unique scroll and click wheel allows you to scroll through the menu fast and make your selection quickly. The result is a fast and easy-to-use menu with a convenient tab structure.

With Pioneer’s 7-band graphic equaliser, you can customise the equalisation levels to best match the acoustics of your car. To ease use, 7 equaliser curves are preset, namely Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Flat, Custom 1, Custom 2 and Super Bass. Custom 1 and Custom 2 are adjustable equaliser curves that you can create by altering the preset EQ curves (except Flat) to a  ne degree (nuance control) with a 7-band graphic equaliser for each source. 7 bands (50 Hz, 125 Hz, 315 Hz, 800 Hz, 2 kHz, 5 kHz and 12.5 kHz) can be adjusted in band-speci c steps from +6 to -4, or -6, depending on which equaliser curve is selected.
