Function Switches

When the PLAY, FF, REW or PAUSE function switch is

gently

touched,

it

lights

up green

while

the REC switch

lights up red to indicate the

tape run mode. This makes it

so easy

to

check the

tape

travel. All you have

to

do

to

operate

the

deck

is

to merely touch the

function

switches

with your finger-tips since the- drive mechanism is electroni-

cally controlled

by

a

logic

IC. To

change over

the

tape

travel mode, just

go from one function switch to another —

there's

no need to

touch

the STOP switch first.

Another

illumination

feature is

the use of LEDs to display

the tape

selectors and Dolby

NR system as

well as other main func-
