Product
DX3100
Issue
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 changes the effective dates of Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the United States, Canada, and selected other locations. Beginning in March 2007, DST in affected geogr ap hical reg ion s will begi n three we eks earli er (2: 00 A.M. on the sec ond S unda y in March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November) than in previous years .
This change in the law invalidates the rule-based DST feature available in the DX3100. There is no method to change the DST rules in the DX3100.
Note: Users in any region affected by the new DST schedule must
this bulletin to ensure their DX3100 complies with the new schedule. Users in regions not
affected by the DST change should not perform these procedures.
Resolution
Users operating the DX3100 in regions affected by the new DST schedule must disable DST functionality on their DX3100 and subsequently adjust the system time manually to comply with the new DST schedule.
Instructions
Users should refer to the DX3100 manual to see instructions on setting the system time manually.
Note
: When system time is adjusted backward for the fall time change, the DX3100 will not
record for one hour, until the system time has advanced beyond the previously recorded time. (Example: When user sets system time back from 2:00 A.M. to 1:00 A.M., the DX3100 will not resume recording until system time is 2:00:01 A.M.). Contact Pelco product support at 1800-289-9100 for details.
