values given in these instructions. It is easy to underestimate the vibration load if the electrical power tool is
used regularly in particular circumstances.
Note: If you wish to make an accurate assessment
of the vibration loads experienced during a particular period of working, you should also take into account the intervening periods of time when the device is switched off or is running but is not actually
in use. This can result in a much lower vibration
load over the whole of the period of working.
1. Workplace safety

well lit. Untidy or poorly lit working areas
can lead to accidents.

Do not work with the device
in potentially explosive environments in which there
are inflammable liquids, gases or
dusts. Electrical power tools create sparks,
which can ignite dusts or fumes.

ple away while you are operating the electrical tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control of
the device.
2. Electrical safety
To avoid danger to
life from electric shock:
a)
The mains plug on the device must match
the mains socket. The plug must not
be modified in any way. Do not use
an adapter plug with devices fitted
with a protective earth. Unmodified
plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of
electric shock.

b) Avoid touching earthed surfaces such
as pipes, radiators, ovens and refrigerators with any part of your body.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is earthed

moisture. Water entering an electrical device

hair, clothing and gloves clear of moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long
hair can become trapped in moving parts.
g) If vacuum dust extraction and collection
devices are fitted do not forget to

this, take into account the working
conditions and the task in hand. The
use of electrical power tools for purposes other
than those intended can lead to dangerous
situations.

J When working in outside areas, pro-
tect yourself against leakage current
by fitting an FI protection switch with
a max. activation rating of 30 mA.
J Use exclusively an extension cable
that is certified for use outdoors
J Secure the workpiece firmly. Use
clamps or a vice to firmly hold the workpiece.
This results in a safer grip than with your hand.
J Under no circumstances should you
place your hands next to or in front of
the appliance or on the area to be
worked, you could be seriously injured if you
slip or stumble.
J In event of danger, immediately re-
move the power plug from the socket.
J Always run the power cable away
from the appliance to the rear.
J Ensure that nobody is endangered by
flying sparks. Remove combustible materials
from the immediate vicinity. Flying sparks are produced when metals are ground.
J CAUTION! DANGER OF FIRE!
Ensure that the material being
ground and the grinder itself
do not overheat. Always empty the dust
container before taking a break from work.
Grinding dust in the dust sack, microfilter, paper
sack (or in the filter sack or filter of the vacuum
cleaner) can ignite automatically under unfavour-able conditions such as flying sparks when
metal is being ground. There is a par-ticular
hazard if the grinding dust is mixed with paint
or polyurethane residues or other chemical substances and the material being ground is hot after being worked on for a prolonged period.

The working of materials that can produce harm-
ful / toxic dusts presents a health risk for the operator and for people located in the close vicinity.

J When working for extended periods
on wood and, in particular, materials
that produce dusts that are hazardous
to health, connect the appliance to an
appropriate external suction device.
J Provide for sufficient ventilation when
working plastics, varnishes and paints.
J Do not soak materials or surfaces to
be worked with liquids containing
solvents.
J The electric tool must only be used for
dry grinding. The penetration of water into
the electric device increases the risk of an electric shock.
J Avoid sanding lead-based paints or
other materials that are hazardous to
health.
J Material containing asbestos may not
be worked. Asbestos is considered to be a
carcinogen.

J Avoid contact with the moving sand-
ing sheet.
J Use the appliance only with a sanding
sheet in place.
J Never use the appliance for purposes
other than those intended and only
with original components / accessories.
J Introduce the appliance to the work
piece with it switched on. On task completion, lift the appliance from the work piece
and then switch it off.
J Permit the switched off appliance to
come to a complete standstill before
putting it down.
J The appliance must always be kept
clean, dry and free of oil or grease.
J Keep your workplace clean. Material
mixtures are particularly dangerous. Light metal dust can burn or explode.
J Do not use the electric tool with a
damaged lead. Do not touch the damaged
lead and remove the mains plug if the lead becomes damaged while you are work-ing with
the device. Damaged leads increase the risk of
an electric shock.

J Use only the accessories detailed in the operat-
ing instructions. The use of inserted tools or accessories other than those recommended in the
operating instructions could lead to you suffering an injury.

The rate of metal removal and the surface quality
are determined by the grain size of the grinding disc.
j lease note that corresponding grinding discs
with different grain sizes should be used for
processing different materials.

RISK OF INJURY! Before
carrying out work on the appliance, always remove the plug from the power socket.
The rotary sander is fitted with a velcro rapid attachment, making possible a quick and easy exchange
of sanding sheets.
j Lift the grinding disc
from the backing pad

remove all dust and dirt from the sander plate
j Ensure that the openings in the sanding sheet
concur with the boreholes of the sanding plate

been used for working metal for other materials.
NOTE! Always switch the rotary sander on before
applying it to the material to be worked, then make
contact with it.
When operating the device you can select between intermittent or continuous operation mode

Grinding Surfaces
j Turn the electric tool on, place the entire grinding
surface on the substrate that is to be worked
on and move it with moderate pressure across
the workpiece (see Illustration B, C, D).
NOTE: The rate of metal removal and the
grinding pattern are essentially determined by
the grinding disc that has been selected and
the grinding pressure. Only grind-ing discs that
are in perfect condition will provide good
grinding performance.
j Please ensure that the grinding pressure is
even. An excessive increase in the grinding
pressure leads not only to a higher rate of metal removal, but also greater wear and tear on
the grinding disc.

Näissä ohjeissa ilmoitettu värähtelytaso on määritetty normissa EN 60745 standardoidulla mittausmenetelmällä ja sitä voidaan käyttää
laitevertailussa.
Värähtelytaso muuttuu sähkötyökalun käytön mukaan ja se saattaa monesti ylittää tässä ohjeessa
mainitun arvon. Värähtelyrasitusta saatetaan aliarvioida, jos sähkötyökalua säännöllisesti käytetään
tällä tavalla.
Huomio: Liikekuormituksen arvioimiseksi tietyn
työajan kestäessä on huomioitava myös ajat, jolloin
laite on sammutettuna, tai ajat, jolloin laite on käynnissä, mutta ei työkäytössä. Tämä saattaa vähentää
merkittävästi liikerasitusta kokonaistyöskentelyajan
kestäessä.

1. Työpaikkaturvallisuus
a) Pidä työskentelypaikka puhtaana ja
hyvin valaistuna. Epäjärjestys ja huono
valaistus voivat johtaa tapaturmiin.
b)
Älä käytä laitetta räjähdys-
vaarallisessa ympäristössä,
jossa säilytetään helposti
syttyviä nesteitä, kaasuja tai jossa
kehittyy pölyä. Sähkötyökalut kehittävät
kipinöintiä, joka voi sytyttää pölyn tai höyryn.
c)
Lapsien ja asiattomien henki-
löiden läsnäolo työpaikalla
laitteen ollessa käynnissä ei
ole sallittua. Voit helposti menettää kontrol-
lin laitteeseen.
2. Sähköturvallisuus
Vältä sähköiskun aiheuttamaa
hengenvaaraa:
a) Laitteen pistokkeen pitää sopia pisto-
rasiaan. Pistoketta ei saa muuttaa
millään tavalla. Älä käytä adapteria
yhdessä suojamaadoitettujen laitteiden
kanssa. Alkuperäinen pistoke ja sopivat pisto-
rasia vähentävät sähköiskuvaaraa.
b) Vältä kosketusta maadoitettuihin pin-
toihin, kuten putkiin, lämpöpattereihin,
liesiin sekä jääkaappeihin. Vaarana on
saada sähköisku, jos kehosi on maadoitettu.
c) Älä pidä laitetta sateessa tai muussa
kosteudessa. Veden pääsy laitteeseen lisää
sähköisku vaaraa.
d)

malla sitä kaapelista ja vedä
kaapeli irti pistorasiasta

pitämällä kiinni pistokkeesta. Älä jätä
kaapelia kuumaan paikkaan, älä
päästä siihen öljyä, varo teräviä reunoja sekä laitteen pyöriviä osia. Vialliset
tai kietoutuneet kaapelit lisäävät riskiä saada
sähköisku.
e) Jos työskentelet ulkotiloissa, käytä
silloin jatkokaapelia, jonka käyttö on
sallittu myös ulkotilaan. Ulkotilaan sovel-
tuva kaapeli vähentää riskiä saada sähköisku.
f) Jos sähkötyökalua joudutaan käyttä-
mään kosteassa ympäristössä, on
käytettävä vikavirtakytkintä. Vikavirta-
kytkimen käyttö pienentää sähköiskun vaaraa.
3. Henkilöiden turvallisuus
a) Ole aina tarkkaavainen, tarkista aina,
mitä teet ja toimi järkevästi sähkölaitteilla työskennellessäsi. Älä käytä
laitetta, jos olet väsynyt, käyttänyt
huumeita, alkoholia tai lääkkeitä.
Epätarkkaavaisuus laitetta käytettäessä voi aiheuttaa vaikeita loukkaantumisia.
b)
teiden käyttö, kuten pölynaamari, turvakengät,
kypärä tai kuulosuoja, vähentävät loukkaantumisriskiä.
c) Varo käynnistämästä laitetta vahin-
gossa. Varmista, että sähkötyökalu
on kytketty pois päältä, ennen kuin
liität sen pistorasiaan, nostat sen tai
kannat sitä. Tapaturmat ovat mahdollisia,
jos sormesi on laitetta kantaessasi virtakytkimellä tai laite on kytketty päälle.
d) Poista kaikki työkalut ja ruuviavaimet
paikalta ennen kuin kytket laitteen.
Pyörivässä laiteosassa oleva työkalu tai avain
voi johtaa tapaturmaan.
e) Vältä työskentelemästä epätavalli-
sessa asennossa. Asetu tukevaan
asentoon ja pysyttele koko ajan tasapainossa. Pystyt silloin hallitsemaan laitteen
erityisesti yllättävissä tilanteissa.
Käytä henkilökohtaisia tur-
vavarusteita ja suojalaseja
aina. Henkilökohtaisten turvavarus-
f) Käytä sopivaa vaatetusta. Älä käytä
löysiä vaatteita äläkä pidä koruja.
Hiukset, vaatteet ja käsineet on pidettävä etäällä liikkuvista osista. Löysät
vaatteet, korut ja avonaiset hiukset voivat jäädä
kiinni liikkuviin osiin.
g) Jos laitteeseen asennetaan pölynimu-
ri-ja lastunkeruulaite, varmistu sitä
ennen, että osat on liitetty ja niitä
käytetään oikein. Näiden laitteiden liittä-
minen vähentää pölystä aiheutuvia vaaroja.
4.
Sähkötyökalujen huolellinen
käsittely ja käyttö
a) Älä ylirasita laitetta. Käytä työssäsi
tätä työtä varten tarkoitettua sähkötyökalua. Sopivan sähkötyökalun kanssa
työskentelet paremmin ja varmemmin sen tehoalueella.
b) Älä käytä mitään sähkötyökalua,
jonka käynnistyskytkin on viallinen.
Sähkötyökalu, jota ei voi enää kytkeä päälle
tai päältä, on vaarallinen ja se on korjattava.
c) Vedä pistoke pistorasiasta, ennen
kuin säädät laitetta, vaihdat lisäosia
tai panet laitteen varastoon. Nämä
varotoimenpiteet estävät sen, että laite käynnistyy vahingossa.
d) Säilytä sähkötyökaluja silloin, kun
niitä ei käytetä, lasten ulottumattomissa. Älä anna henkilöiden käyttää
laitetta, jos he eivät tunne sitä tai
eivät ole lukeneet näitä käyttöohjeita.
Sähkötyökalut ovat vaarallisia, jos kokemattomat
henkilöt käyttävät niitä.
e) Hoida laitetta huolellisesti. Tarkasta,
toimivatko sen liikkuvat osat moitteettomasti ja että ne eivät jumitu;
tarkasta, onko joku osa katkennut tai
murtunut tai vahingoittunut niin, että
se haittaa laitteen toimintaa. Korjauta
vialliset osat aina ennen kuin käytät
laitetta. Moni tapaturma johtuu huonosti
huolletuista sähkötyökaluista.
f) Pidä terät terävinä ja puhtaina.
Huolella hoidetut leikkuuterät terävine leikkuu-

reunoineen eivät juutu niin helposti kiinni
työkappaleeseen ja ne toimivat kevyemmin.
g) Käytä sähkötyökaluja, lisätarvikkeita,
käyttötarvikkeita jne. tässä esitettyjen
määräysten mukaisesti ja aina erityistä tyyppiä vastaavasti. Ota huomioon
työolosuhteet ja työ. Sähkötyökalujen
käyttö muuhun kuin sille määrättyyn tarkoitukseen voi aiheuttaa vaarallisia tilanteita.

laitekohtaiset turvallisuusohjeet
J Liitä laite ulkona työskennellessäsi
korkeintaan 30 mA:n laukaisuvirralla
varustetun vikavirta-(FI)-suojakytkimen kautta.
J Käytä ainoastaan ulkokäyttöön hy-
väksyttyä jatkojohtoa.
J Varmista työstettävä kappale. Käytä
kiristyslaitteita / ruuvipenkkiä työstettävän kappaleen kiinnittämiseen. Se on turvallisempaa ja
tukevampaa kuin kädessä pitäminen.
J Älä missään tapauksessa nojaa käsillä
laitteen tai työstettävän pinnan viereen
tai eteen, koska luiskahtaminen merkitsee
loukkaantumisvaaraa.
J Irrota vaaratilanteessa pistoke välit-
tömästi pistorasiasta.
J Johda virtajohto aina laitteen takaa.
J Varmistaudu, etteivät lentävät kipinät
vaaranna ketään. Poista kaikki palavat
materiaalit koneen läheisyydestä. Metallin hionnassa syntyy lentäviä kipinöitä.
J VARO! TULIPALOVAARA!
Vältä hiottavan kappaleen ja
hiomakoneen ylikuume-
neminen. Tyhjennä pölynkeruukotelo aina
työtauon aikana. Hiomapöly pölypussissa, mikrosuodattimessa, paperipussissa (tai suodatinpussissa tai pölynimurin suodattimessa) voi syttyä itsestään epäedullisissa olosuhteissa, kuten
metalleja hiottaessa. Erityinen vaara uhkaa, jos
hiomapölyyn sekoittuu maali- ja polyuretaanijäämiä tai muita kemiallisia aineita ja hiottava
kappale kuumenee pidemmän työvaiheen aikana.

Vahingollisten / myrkyllisten pölyjen työstäminen
vaarantaa käyttävän henkilön tai lähellä sijaitsevien henkilöiden terveyden.

Käytä suojalaseja ja pöly-
suojanaamaria!
J Liitä laite soveltuvaan ulkoiseen pö-
lynimulaitteeseen, kun työstät pidempään puuta, ja erityisesti silloin, kun
työstät materiaaleja, joista syntyy
terveyttä vaarantavia pölyjä.
J Huolehdi muoveja, maaleja, lakkoja
jne. työstettäessä riittävästä ilmastoinnista.
J Älä kostuta materiaaleja tai työstet-
täviä pintoja liuotinainepitoisilla
nesteillä.
J Käytä sähkötyökalua vain kuivahion-
taan. Veden pääsy sähkölaitteeseen kohottaa
sähköiskuriskiä.
J Vältä lyijypitoisten malien tai muiden
terveydelle haitallisten materiaalien
hiomista.
J Asbestipitoista materiaalia ei saa työs-
tää. Asbestia pidetään syöpää aiheuttavana.
J Vältä kontaktia pyörivään hiomale-
vyyn.
J Käytä laitetta ainoastaan hiomalevyn
ollessa kiinnitettynä.
J Älä koskaan käytä laitetta tarkoituk-
senvastaisesti ja käytä aina ainoastaan
alkuperäisiä osia / lisätarvikkeita.
J
Vie laite päällekytkettynä työstettävälle
kappaleelle.
työstettävältä kappaleelta ja kytke se sitten
pois päältä.
Nosta laitetta työstämisen jälkeen
J Anna sammutetun laitteen pysähtyä,
ennen kuin asetat sen pois.
J Laitteen tulee aina olla puhdas, kuiva
ja puhdas öljystä tai voitelurasvoista.
J Pidä työpaikkasi siistinä. Materiaalisekoitukset
ovat erittäin vaarallisia. Kevytmetallipöly voi
palaa tai räjähtää.
J Älä käytä sähkötyökalua, jos sen johto on vioit-
tunut. Älä kosketa vioittunutta johtoa ja irrota
verkkopistoke heti, jos johto vaurioituu töiden
aikana. Vaurioitunut johto kohottaa sähköiskunvaaraa.
