3 SERVICE PROCEDURES - BODY
3.1. Motor
3.1.1. Removal
1. Remove nozzle hose from body by (1) pressing in locking
tab and (2) sliding up and out of retaining slot.
2. Remove two (2) screws from rear of vacuum cleaner.
3. Remove dust bin.
4. Remove three screws from front of vacuum cleaner.
6. Lift off motor cover.
7. MC-UL424 ONLY: Remove lower plate (See Lower Plate Removal).
8. MC-UL424 ONLY: Remove agitator (See Agitator Removal).
9. MC-UL424 ONLY: Remove nozzle by (1) raising non-belt
side and (2) sliding nozzle off the motor shaft.
It is not necessary to remove the nozzle on model MCUL426 to access the suction motor.
5. Press inwards on the sides in area shown to release tabs
on the motor cover.
