The KX-TGA717 is an optional handset for Digital Cordless
Phone. You can add up to 5 KX-TGA717s and experience a
new dimension of communication convenience likein-house
Intercom and more. Plus, the KX-TGA717's Bone Conduction
Technology makes it much easier to hear what the speaker is
saying. So conversations go much more smooothly, no matter where
you are or how noisy the surroundings are. Also it is especially useful
for older people. Panasonic DECT phones bring more fun and convenience
to your family communication.
NOTE: The effectiveness of the bone conduction earpiece will vary by the type and degree of hearing loss of the user.

Bone Conduction Technology
The Bone Conduction Technology converts
amplified sound into mechanical vibrations,
and sends them to the inner ear through the
cranial bones, bypassing the outer and the
middle ear. These vibrations stimulate the
hairs within the cochlea, and are transmitted
the same way as normal hearing to the
auditory nerve. The resulting sound is loud,
clear, and easy to perceive.
