INSTALLATION NOTES:
• Inspect the contents of the kit and read the entire instructions before proceeding.
• We recommend this installation be performed by a qualified technician.
• Torque all hardware to factory specifications.
• We recommend using red Loctite on all bolts.
1) Block rear wheels and raise front of vehicle. Support with jack stands. Remove front wheels.
2) Remove both front shocks and upper mounts.
3) Using a floor jack, support the passenger side front spring. Remove the u-bolt nuts and lower
shock mounting plate. Install the new lower shock mounting plate and tighten the u-bolts to
specifications.
4) Place the driver side shock hoop (the one with the angle-cut mounting plate) against the frame
and align the lower rear center mounting plate hole with the lower rear mounting hole from
the factory upper shock mount. Install one 1/2" bolt with washers and nut. Using the plate as a
guide, drill the remaining 3 holes out to 1/2" (see photo 1).
5) Using the hoop as a guide, drill the mounting leg holes to 1/2" and secure with 1/2" hardware.
The front leg will require the use of the 1/2" tab nut (see photo 2).
6) Tighten all hardware to specifications.
7) Install shock absorbers. Use flat washers and spacer on lower mounts (see diagram 1).
8) Repeat steps on opposite side of vehicle.
9) Re-install wheels, re-check all bolts, tighten to specifications.
