INSTALLATION NOTES:
• Inspect the contents of the kit and read the entire instructions before proceeding.
• We recommend this installation be performed by a qualified technician.
• Torque all hardware to factory specifications.
• We recommend using red Loctite on all bolts.
• When removing wheels, support vehicle with jack stands.
1) Remove factory shock mount from frame (see photo 1).
2) Grind frame clean (see photo 2).
3) Install 1” sleeve in factory hole (see photo 3).
4) Temporarily attach hoop and mark location of front mounting bolt. Drill 1/2” hole through frame (see photo 4 & 5).
5) Open outside only of hole drilled in step #4 to 3/4” and set 3/4” sleeve in place (see photo 6).
6) Roll template paper, place in ends of shock tubes, mark a reference point to the flange for orientation, and tape to prevent un-rolling (see photo 7).
7) Bolt shock hoops onto frame using 1 heavy duty 1/2” flat washer on backside of each bolt.
8) Mark template paper for angle (see photo 8).
9) Once you are satisfied with the angle, remove the template paper and cut angle (photo 9). Place template on outside of shock hoop flange tubes, making sure that you retain the orientation to the flange (see photo 10).
10) Carefully cut tube ends (see photo 11), (we recommend leaving a little excess for safety).
11) Attach fitted ends to hoop and weld in place (see photo 12).
12) If necessary, hold bumpstop mounting plate up to frame & determine amount to be trimmed. Mark & cut bumpstop mounting plate (see photo 13).
13) Re-attach bumpstop mounting plate using spacer (see photo 14).
12) Paint frame and welds after cooling.
13) On 60020 kit only, use existing lower shock plates as templates, mark and drill new lower shock plates to match. Install new replacement bottom shock plates and shocks. NOTE: Lower plates can be flipped to accommodate a shorter shock. On 60021 kit only, add additional shock pin to secondary hole and install shock.
