Complete the following steps, in order. Refer to supplied drawings, as required.
2. Disconnect all audio inputs and outputs, remote interface and RS232 connections, as appropriate.
3. Remove 9200 from equipment rack.
4. Place 9200 on a convenient anti-static work surface.
5. Remove 18 self-tapping screws fastening the top cover, then remove the cover (noting its orientation).
Retain screws for reuse.
6. Remove 4 machine screws and the rear panel cover plate.
I-1
Retain the screws for reuse. The blank-out plate will not be needed with the 9200DIO option installed,
but you may wish to retain this plate for future use.
7. Install the two supplied nylon standoffs.
Locate two holes in the main printed circuit board, approximately 4.5

behind the opening in the rear panel. Insert standoffs in each hole.
B)
Standoffs should snap into place.
8. Install the 9200DIO module.
The module should be oriented with the component side of the printed
circuit board facing up. The module mounts to the rear panel from the inside of the chassis. Make sure that the standoffs snap into place in the holes provided on the module’s printed circuit board. Use the 4 machine screws removed in step 6.
9. Plug the module’s ribbon cable into J601 on the 9200 Main Printed Circuit Board.
This uses a polarized connector that will mate properly in only one
direction. Make sure that the ribbon cable firmly seats into the connector, but do not use excessive force.

Verify the 9200 displays Digital I/O functions within the I/O
A)
Calibration section of System Setup.
For more information, refer to “System Setup controls” in the
installation section of your manual.
You may also wish to apply an AES/EBU audio source as a part of
initial check out.
12. Re-mount the 9200 in the equipment rack.
13. Re-connect all audio inputs and outputs, remote interface and RS- 232 connections, as appropriate.
14. You may also wish to connect AES/EBU program source and output, as required for your installation.
15. Apply Power.
