DPG6000 DIGITAL PRESSURE GAUGE
INSTRUCTIONS
DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE FOR ZERO AND SPAN CALIBRATION:
The DPG6000 comes with factory calibration. Refer to name plate for calibration information for your unit.
If it becomes necessary, the DPG6000 can be recalibrated in the field. A zero and span adjustment is available internal to the DPG6000. Refer to drawing on the next page. A reference pressure source is necessary to adjust the span.
STEP 1: Remove crown nut and washers. (12081, 12080, 12061-2)
STEP 2: Hold housing and push on protruding 10/32 stud. The front
assembly will come free of the rear housing.
STEP 3: Continue to remove front assembly from rear housing (being
careful of the internal transducer leads) until the zero and span controls are available for adjustment.
A. ZERO ADJUSTMENT
For gauge unit-no pressure applied. For absolute units-vacuum
applied to pressure port.
With proper input, gauge or absolute, adjust zero control until the
display reads 0000.
B. SPAN ADJUSTMENT
Apply a calibrated pressure source to the DPG6000 at its rated
pressure. Adjust span control until the display reads the proper pressure.
Repeat step A and step B as necessary for any interaction between
the controls.
When zero and span are set, reassemble in the reverse order step
3, step 2, step 1.
DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE FOR BATTERY REPLACEMENT:
The DPG6000 is supplied with a “low bat” indicator. Located in the upper left-hand corner of the display, this display comes on when the battery voltage falls below a fixed limit and indicates time to replace the battery pack (DPG-BAT-C).
CAUTION: When disassembling or assembling the DPG6000 be careful not to pinch or damage the internal transducer leads.
STEP 1: Remove crown nut and washers. (12081, 12080, 12061-2)
STEP 2: Hold housing and push on protruding 10/32 stud. The front
assembly will come free of the rear housing. Remove front assembly completely from rear housing, being careful of the internal leads.
STEP 3: Remove 3 number 4/40 nuts and rear retainer plate (12079). The
battery pack (DPG-BAT-C) is now free to be removed. Remove.
STEP 4: Unplug the old battery pack and replace with new batteries.
(DPG-BAT-C)
The new battery pack (DPG-BAT-C) will give a minimum of 2 years continuous uninterrupted service.
STEP 5: Reassemble in the reverse order-step 3, step 2, step 1.
