Der Temperatursensor dient zur Anzeige und zur Überwachung der
Temperatur� Der Temperatursensor ist für die Verwendung mit einer
Alarmanlage der Protect-Serie geeignet� Voraussetzung für eine
bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung ist die sachgemäße Installation
sowie die Beachtung und Einhaltung der Hinweise dieser Bedie­nungsanleitung�

Jede andere Verwendung als in der bestimmungsgemäßen Verwen­dung beschrieben gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß� Eigenmächtige
Veränderungen oder Umbauten sind nicht zulässig und führen zur
Beschädigung des T emperatursensors�

Prüfen Sie den Verpackungsinhalt Ihres Temperatursensors, bevor
Sie Ihren Temperatursensor in Betrieb nehmen� Sollte etwas fehlen
oder beschädigt sein, wenden Sie sich an unseren Service�

Temperatursensor in Betrieb nehmen

Batterien einlegen

Ihr Temperatursensor funktioniert nur mit einer geeigneten, korrekt
eingelegten Batterie des Typs Microzelle (AAA)�

1� Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Rückseite Ihres Tempera-

tursensors�

2� Legen Sie eine Batterie des Typs Microzelle (AAA) in das

Batteriefach ein� Achten Sie darauf, die Batterie in der richtigen
Ausrichtung einzulegen�

3� Schließen Sie das Batteriefach

auf der Rückseite Ihres Tempera­tursensors�

Temperatursensor aufstellen oder aufhängen

Stellen bzw� hängen Sie Ihren Temperatursensor an einem beliebi­gen Ort auf� Sie können hierfür entweder den Standfuß, die Aufhän­gung oder die magnetische Fläche auf der Rückseite verwenden�

1� Klappen Sie den Standfuß auf der Rückseite Ihres Tempera-

tursensors vorsichtig herunter
oder hängen Sie Ihren Temperatursensor mithilfe der

Aufhängung auf der Rückseite auf
oder legen bzw� setzen Sie Ihren Temperatursensor auf eine

magnetische Oberäche.

2� Verbinden Sie das Anschlusskabel des Außensensors mit der

Buchse an der Seite des Temperatursensors�

3� Platzieren Sie den Temperatursensor und den Temperaturfüh-

ler an dem Ort, dessen Temperatur gemessen und evtl� über­wacht werden soll� Achten Sie darauf, dass das Anschlusska­bel nicht gequetscht wird� Beschädigungen am Anschlusskabel
können zu Funktionsstörungen des Temperatursensors führen�

Wählen Sie die Temperatur aus, die im Display angezeigt werden
soll�
Die Temperatur FRIDGE wird vom Außensensor gemessen� Die
Temperatur ROOM wird vom Temperaturfühler am Temperatursen­sor gemessen�

gemessene Temperatur� So können Sie bspw� eine mögliche
Temperaturschwankung innerhalb eines beliebigen Zeitraums
überwachen�

Temperatursensor an Alarmanlage anmelden

Der Temperatursensor kann an einer Alarmanlage der Protect-Serie
angemeldet werden� So können Sie bspw� einen temperaturemp-

ndlichen Bereich (wie etwa ein Aquarium, ein Terrarium oder einen

Gefrierschrank) überwachen� Bei Bedarf können Sie sich bei einem
Über- oder Unterschreiten des eingestellten Temperaturbereichs von
Ihrem Alarmsystem warnen lassen�

1� Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Rückseite Ihres Temperatur-

sensors�
2� Entnehmen Sie die Batterie aus dem Batteriefach�
Beachten Sie, dass die bereits eingestellte Höchst- und Tiefsttempe-

ratur gelöscht wird, wenn Sie die Batterie aus dem Temperatursensor
entfernen� Beachten Sie, dass der Temperaturspeicher gelöscht wird,
sobald Sie die Batterie aus dem Temperatursensor entfernen�

Alarmmodus einschalten

Möchten Sie sich bei einem Über- oder Unterschreiten des
eingestellten Temperaturbereichs von Ihrem Alarmsystem warnen
lassen, schalten Sie den Alarmmodus Ihres Temperatursensors ein�

Wenn Ihr Temperatursensor eine Temperatur außerhalb der einge­stellten Höchst- und Tiefsttemperatur misst, sendet Ihr Temperatur­sensor ein Signal an die Alarmanlage� Der Eintrag al im Display
erlischt und erscheint erst wieder, wenn die vom Temperaturfühler
gemessene Temperatur innerhalb der eingestellten Höchst- und
Tiefsttemperatur liegt� Ist Ihr Temperatursensor nicht mit einer
Alarmanlage verbunden, werden Sie bei Über- oder Unterschrei­ten des eingestellten Temperaturbereichs durch drei aufeinander
folgende akustische Signale gewarnt�

The temperature sensor serves to display and monitor the temper­ature� The temperature sensor is designed for use together with an
alarm system from the Protect Series� A condition for complying with
the intended use is that the equipment is installed correctly and the
information in the manual is observed and maintained�

Any use other than that described in Section “Intended Use” is con­sidered unintended use. Unauthorised modications or reconstruc­tions are not permitted and could cause damage to the temperature
sensor�

Putting the Temperature Sensor into Operation

Inserting the Battery

The temperature sensor can only work properly when an appropri­ate AAA cell battery has been correctly installed�

1� Open the battery compartment on the rear side of the

temperature sensors�
2� Insert an AAA cell battery in the battery compartment� Pay

attention that the battery is inserted the right way around�
3� Close the battery compartment

on the rear side of the tempera-

ture sensor�

Positioning or Mounting the Temperature Sensor

You can stand or mount the temperature sensor anywhere� You can
either stand it on its base, hang it using the mounting hook or use
the magnetic surface on the rear�

1� Pivot the base on the rear of the temperature sensor down

on the rear
or set the temperature sensor on a magnetic surface�

2� Connect the connection cable of the external sensor to the port

on the side of the temperature sensor�

3� Position the temperature sensor and temperature probe at the

location where the temperature should be measured or moni­tored� Pay attention that the connection cable is not crushed�
Damage to the connection cable could lead to malfunction of
the temperature sensor�

Registering the Temperature Sensor on the Alarm System

The temperature sensor can be registered on an alarm system from
the Protect Series� This means you can monitor an area which is
sensitive to a temperature change (such as an aquarium, terrarium
or freezer)� If so required, you can be alerted by the alarm system in
cases where temperatures exceed or drop below a dened temper­ature range�

1� Open the battery compartment on the rear side of the temper-

ature sensors�
2� Remove the battery from the battery compartment�
Please note that the maximum and minimum temperatures you

have set are deleted when the battery is removed from the tempera­ture sensor� Please note that the temperature memory is deleted
when the battery is removed from the temperature sensor�

Switching On Alarm Mode

If you want to be alerted by the alarm system if the temperature
exceeds or drops below the set temperature range, activate Alarm
mode on the temperature sensor�

If your temperature sensor measures a temperature outside the
set maximum and minimum temperature range, the temperature
sensor sends a signal to the alarm system� The message al
disappears from the display and only returns when the temper­ature measured by the temperature probe is again within the

range dened by the maximum and minimum temperatures. If the

temperature sensor is not connected to an alarm system you are
alerted to temperatures moving outside the set temperature range
by successive acoustic signals�

Disposal

In order to dispose of your device, take it to a collection
point provided by your local public waste authorities (e�g�
recycling centre)� According to laws on the disposal of
electronic and electrical devices, owners are obliged to

dispose of old electronic and electrical devices in a
separate waste container� The symbol indicates that the device
must not be disposed of in normal domestic waste!

Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to pollute
the environment� They may contain toxic, ecologically hazardous
heavy metals� You are legally obliged to dispose of batteries at
shops which sell batteries or at collection points provided by the

indicate that the batteries must not be disposed of in normal
