JAZ-ADP-GPIO Adapter
This accessory converts the 20-pin GPIO connector on Jaz DPUs manufactured on January 1, 2008 to
the mini-HDMI connector used by the Jaz DPU GPIO (Jaz DPUs manufactured after January 1, 2008).
The mini-HDMI connector provides additional functionality such as triggering.
Note
In addition to the mini-HDMI connector provided on the JAZ-ADP-GPIO Adapter,
additional firmware is necessary to use some of the new functions. Upgrading this
firmware may require an RMA to return the unit to the factory as shown below:

Attaching the JAZ-ADP-GPIO Adapter
► Procedure
1. Unpack the connector. Your package should contain the following:
One JAZ-ADP-GPIO
Four 2-56 x 3/16” Phillips head screws to attach the adapter to the DPU module in your
Jaz stack. (Only two screws are needed; two extra screws are provided.)

2. Locate the DPU module in your Jaz stack.
3. Remove the screws currently attached to the DPU front panel
4. Use the new screws provided to attach the adapter to the DPU module as shown below:
5. Follow the instructions in Connecting the Accessory Cable to attach the accessory cable as
shown below:
