Read all instructions before using your Ninja Foodie.™
When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

2 Keep the appliance and its cord
out of reach of children less than8 years.
3 To eliminate a choking hazard for
young children, remove and discardthe protective cover fitted on thepower plug of this appliance.
4 Children shall not play with
the appliance.
5 NEVER use socket below counter.6 NEVER connect this appliance
to an external timer switch or separate remote-control system.
7 DO NOT use an extension cord.
A short power-supply cord is used to reduce the risk of children less than 8 years grabbing the cord or becoming entangled and to reduce the risk of people tripping over a longer cord.
8 To protect against electrical shock
DO NOT immerse cord, plugs,or main unit housing in wateror other liquid. Cook only in thepot provided or in a containerrecommended by SharkNinjaplaced in the provided pot.
9 Regularly inspect the appliance
and power cord. DO NOT use theappliance if there is damage to thepower cord or plug. If the appliancemalfunctions or has been damagedin any way, immediately stop useand call Customer Service.
10 ALWAYS ensure the appliance is
properly assembled before use.
11 Before use, ALWAYS check
pressure release valve and red floatvalve for clogging or obstruction,and clean them if necessary.Check to make sure the red floatvalve on the pressure lid movesfreely. Foods such as apple sauce,cranberries, pearl barley, oatmealor other cereals, split peas, noodles,macaroni, rhubarb, or spaghettican foam, froth, and splutter whenpressure cooked, clogging thepressure release valve. These andsimilar expanding foods (such asdried vegetables, beans, grains,and rice) should not be cooked ina pressure cooker, except whenfollowing a Ninja

13 Use only SharkNinja Silicone

pot into the cooker base, ensurepot and cooker base are clean anddry by wiping with a soft cloth.

19 When using this appliance, provide

20 ALWAYS follow the maximum and
minimum quantities of liquid asstated in instructions and recipes.
21 NEVER use SLOW COOK setting
without food and liquids in theremovable cooking pot.
22 DO NOT use the appliance
without the removable cookingpot installed.
23 DO NOT use this appliance for
deep frying.
24 DO NOT cover the pressure valves.
25 DO NOT sauté or fry with oil while
pressure cooking.
26 Prevent food contact with heating
elements. DO NOT overfill orexceed the MAX fill level whencooking. Overfilling may causepersonal injury or propertydamage or affect the safe use ofthe appliance.
27 When pressure cooking foods that
expand (such as dried vegetables,beans, grains, rice, etc.). DO NOT fill pot more than halfway, or asotherwise instructed in a NinjaFoodi™ recipe.
28 DO NOT use this unit to cook
instant rice.
29 To prevent food contact with the
heating elements, DO NOT overfillthe Cook & Crisp™ Basket.
30 Use extreme caution when closing
the crisping lid, taking care thatnothing is caught in or pinched bythe hinge.
31 Socket voltages can vary, affecting
the performance of your product.To prevent possible illness, use athermometer to check that yourfood is cooked to the temperaturesrecommended.
32 DO NOT place the appliance
near the edge of a worktopduring operation.
33 To avoid possible steam damage,
place the unit away from walls andcabinets during use.
34 Should the unit emit black smoke,
unplug immediately and wait forsmoking to stop before removingthe cooking pot and Cook &Crisp™ Basket.

35 DO NOT touch hot surfaces.
Appliance surfaces are hot duringand after operation. To preventburns or personal injury, ALWAYSuse protective hot pads or insulatedoven mitts and use availablehandles and knobs.
36 Extreme caution must be used
when the cooker contains hot oil,hot food, or hot liquids, or if thecooker is under pressure. Improperuse, including moving the cooker,may result in personal injury. Whenusing this appliance to pressurecook, ensure the lid is properlyassembled and locked into positionbefore use.
37 Caution should be used when
searing meats and sautéing in hotoil. Keep hands and face awayfrom the removable cookingpot, especially when adding newingredients, as hot oil may splatter.
38 When unit is in operation, hot
steam is released through the airsocket vent. Place unit so vent isnot directed toward the powercord, sockets, or other appliances.Keep your hands and face at a safedistance from vent.
39 DO NOT attempt to open the lid
during or after pressure cookinguntil all internal pressure has beenreleased through the pressurerelease valve and the unit hascooled slightly. DO NOT tamperwith, disassemble, or otherwiseremove the red float valve orpressure release assembly.
40 When using SLOW COOK or
SEAR/SAUTÉ settings,ALWAYSkeep the pressure lid closed andthe pressure release valve in theVENT position. If the lid is closedand the pressure release valve is inthe SEAL position, an audible alarmwill sound. “VENT” error code willappear on LED display to signal theneed to turn the pressure releasevalve to the VENT position.
41When using the PRESSURE COOK
setting,ALWAYS keep the pressurelid locked and the pressure releasevalve turned anticlockwise to theSEAL position.
42 If the lid will not turn to unlock, this
indicates the appliance is still underpressure. Any pressure remainingcan be hazardous. Let unitnaturally release pressure or turnthe Pressure Release Valve slowlyto the VENT position to releasesteam. Take care to avoid contactwith the releasing steam to avoidburns or injury. When the steam iscompletely released, the red floatvalve will be in the lower positionallowing the lid to be removed.
43 Spilled food can cause serious
burns. Keep appliance and cordaway from children. DO NOT letcord hang over edge of tables orcounters or touch hot surfaces.
44 ALWAYS keep hands, face, and
other body parts away from thepressure release valve prior to orduring pressure release and whenremoving the pressure lid aftercooking. Serious burns can resultfrom the steam inside. ALWAYSlift and tilt the lid away from youwhen removing.
45 When removable cooking pot is
empty,DO NOT heat it for morethan 10 minutes, as doing so maydamage the cooking surface.
46 The cooking pot, Cook & Crisp™
Basket, and reversible rack becomeextremely hot during the cookingprocess. Avoid hot steam and airwhile removing the cooking potand Cook & Crisp™ Basket fromthe appliance, and ALWAYS placethem on a heat resistant surfaceafter removing. DO NOT touchaccessories during or immediatelyafter cooking.
47Removable cooking pot can be
extremely heavy when full ofingredients. Care should be takenwhen lifting pot from cooker base.
48 Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by childrenunless they are older than 8and supervised.
49 Let the appliance cool for
approximately 30 minutes beforehandling, cleaning, or storing.
50 Unplug from socket when not in
use and before cleaning. Allowto cool before cleaning,dissasembly, putting in or takingoff parts and storage.
51 DO NOT use abrasive cleaners,
steel wool, or scouring pads toclean the cooker.
52 Please refer to the Cleaning &
Maintenance section for regularmaintenance of the appliance.
Take care to avoid coming into contact with a hot surface.
