FILLING THE WATER RESERVOIR

BEFORE YOUR
FIRST BREW
Before first use, run two Full Carafe
Clean cycles. With your water reservoir
filled to the max line with fresh water,
your brewer plugged in, and the carafe
in place, press the CLEAN button to
start a cycle.
(Discard th e brewed water a fter each cleaning cycle.)
1. Add milk to your cup
For cold froth, skip to Step 2.
For hot froth, microwave for 45– 60 seconds.

DRIP STOP CLEANUP
CAN’ T WAIT FOR THAT FIRST CUP? THEN DON’T
Simply close the drip stop to pause the carafe brew cycle , and then pour your first cup. Reopen the drip stop to continue the brew.
STOP THE DRIPS AFTE R THE BREW
At the end of a brew, close th e drip stop to prevent dro ps of coffee from escaping.

2. Hold the cup under the frother and sub merge the whisk just be low the surface of the milk. Froth for 30–45 seconds .
REMOVABLE BREW BAS KET FOR EASY CLEANUP
To avoid spills and drips, keep the filter inside the removable brew basket as yo u carr y it to the trash.
3. Remove the frother whisk by twisting clockwise. Keep your cup below the whisk while you carr y it to your sink or dishwasher for e asy cleaning.

PRE- HEAT FOR THE HOTTEST FIRST CUP
PLUG IN, POWER UP, AND PRE- HEAT
Plug in your brewer, then press th e power button . The PRE-HEATING light will illuminate for 3 minutes . When the light goes out, you’re rea dy to brew some steaming hot cof fee.

Pre-heating ensures your first cup will be as hot as it possibly can be.
(But if you don’t have time to wait, you can still brew before pre-heat is fully activated.)

Simply press you r desired brew type button and the brew will begin.
Pull down the cup platform to set your mug on it.
Place your XL Cup or XL Multi-Ser ve Tumbler on the Intelligent Warming Plate.
CARAFE
Place your carafe on the Intelligent Warming Plate.
The Intelligent Warming Plate will only turn on if you brew a full or half carafe of Classic or Rich Brew coffee.
YOU CAN MANUALLY TURN O FF THE I NTELLIGE NT WARMING PL ATE.
The hot surface indicator light will illuminate when the warming plate surface is hot. The light will rem ain illuminated until it has returned to a safe temperature.
WANT YOUR COFFEE HOT LONGER?
You can program the Intelligent Warming Plate to run from 0 to 4 h ours . To set the time, simply press and hold the Stay Warm button for 5 seconds. When the clock begins to flash, use the Hour and Minute buttons to set your desired time. When the clock stops flashing, your time is set.
Pull the handle to swing the brew ba sket open.

The permanent mesh fi lter is already in place—you can add your coffee directly into it.

To use a paper filter, first remove the perma nent filter, then fold a #4 paper cone filter along the seams and insert firm ly into the removable filter carrier.
