This release note describes enhancements and bug fixes incorporated in the RT338 RAS software version
v2.40(N.01), dated 10/21/1999. The enhancements and fixes are those added since the previous RAS
software release v2.40(N.00).

New Features

Programmable Flash Key Detection

The initial version did not detect the Flash key signaling from some models of analog phones due to
the relatively short duration of the flash. In this version, three command-line interface (CI) commands
are added to set and view the detectable duration of the Flash key (or Recall key) of a phone connected
to the router's Phone ports. The new commands are:

isdn param set minflash <value> ; value is 10-100 milliseconds
isdn param set maxflash <value> ; value is 200-1200 millisecond
isdn param disp ; display current configuration.

Bug Fixes

• In the phone numbers in Menu 2, entering and saving more than 25 digits caused the router to crash.
