Problem
Field Service has highlighted an issue in which the phone would go into a ‘Hang’ state.
When using the phone, the customer may put it into a ‘Hang’ state when some of the criteria below are met:

1. Phone hangs when selecting band after seting ring type in audio setting.
2. LCD hang when receiving SMS notification during, deleting, saving and sending SMS.
3. Change phone setting after vibrate setting.
When sending the
SMS, the phone will
hang and this
message will be
displayed. Pressing
any key will give no
response.

Solution
A fix has been implemented into software version 1.82/5.82.
Service Action
If an Amethyst unit is returned to the Service Center with this phone hang issue, upgrade the software to
1.82/5.82 or above (pending operator approval).
