Problem
The DC600 Bluetooth Adapter SYN0895A has a known GSM buzz issue when used
with Motorola GSM phones in the 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 bands. The intensity of the
buzzing sound depends on the position of the Bluetooth adapter’s headset jack cable in
relation to the phone’s antenna.
Scope
DC600 Bluetooth Adapter is being returned from the field for audio buzz when used with
a Bluetooth headset and a GSM phone.
Root cause
The root cause is poor PCB grounding and RF filtering on the DC600 Bluetooth adapter.

Corrective Action
Increase the PCB grounding and modify the RF filtering in the DC600 Bluetooth
Adapter. These changes were made on the HW10 version of the PCB and are
incorporated into Motorola kit number SYN0895B.
Field Service Action
Field returns from consumers should be handled as normal warranty replacement and
should be a 1 for 1 swap with the supplier with the new improve DC600 Bluetooth
adapter SYN0895B.
Please note that phone that have the headset jack located on the bottom of the
phone will not work with this DC600 Adapter.
