Turning Your Pager On:
• Press W to turn your pager on. Your pager alerts indicating that it is on.
The time of day and the “Alert Mode” indicator, silent ([) or audible (D), appears on the display.
Receiving and Reading Your Messages:

pager can receive up to eight
20-character messages. When a message is received, your pager alerts for
eight seconds.
• Press any button to stop the alert.
• Press W to display your message.
• Press V twice while reading your message to re­turn to the main status screen.
Messages containing more than 12 characters dis­play on a second screen. The (B) symbol indicates additional screens. The second screen displays au­tomatically after one minute, or you can press W to advance to the second screen. The last screen of your message displays the message slot number and the time your message was received.
If a message is left unread, the pager emits a re­minder alert every two minutes, and the number of unread messages is displayed on the screen (i.e., 1 page, 2 pages).
Turning Your Pager Off:
• Press X until the pager off ? prompt appears on the displa y.
• Press W to turn your pager off.
When your pager is turned off, the clock display re­mains on the screen. The “Alert Mode” indicator does not.
Changing Alert Modes:
• Press X. Either silent ? or audio ? appears, depending on the current mode. For your pager to vibrate, it must be in the “Silent” mode.
• To change the alert mode, press W while your choice appears on the display.
Setting the Clock:
• Press X until set time ? appears.
• Press W to set your pager’s clock.
• Press X until the desired hour appears. To move to the next digit, press W. Repeat this process f or each field (hours, minutes, AM/PM).
• Press V twice to return to the main status screen.
Setting the Alarm:
• Press Xuntil set alarm ? appears on the display .
• Press W to select the alarm on/off sequence.
• Press X to turn on or turn off the alarm. To mo ve to the next digit, press W. To advance through each digit press X. Repeat this process f or each field (On/Off, hours, minutes, AM/PM).
• Press V twice to return to the main status screen.
The (\) indicator appears on the display when the alarm is turned on. At the selected time, the alarm vibrates or emits a unique 20-second alert, and alarm appears on the display.
• Press any button to stop the alarm alert.
A set alarm activates e ven when your pager is off.
Locking Messa ges:
• To lock a message, press X while reading your message. A lock (E) appears on the display to in­dicate that your message is protected.
• To unlock your message, press X while reading the locked message.

housing, use a soft, non-abrasive cloth moistened in a mild soap and water solution. Rinse the surface using a second cloth moistened in clean water. Do not use alcohol or other cleaning

new messages when memory is full, or lost while re­placing the battery. Up to four messages may be locked at one time.
Erasing Messages From Memory:
• Press X until erase all ? appears on the dis- play.
• Press W. All of your read, unlocked messages will be erased.
The erase all ? prompt appears only if there are read, unlocked messages in memory .
Battery Information:
Your BRAVO Encore! with an AAA-size alkaline battery. See diagram f or bat­tery door location. The hinged battery door , if detached from the pager, can be easily snapped back into place .
Other Pager Features:
When the battery is reaching the end of its life, a low­battery alert occurs and lo cell is displayed. Also , all pager alerts are changed to two seconds.
overflow is displayed when the number of unread messages received is greater than the av ailab le mes­sage memory. The oldest unread message is replaced by a new message. Once you have read all of your un­read messages, the time of day appears on the display.
If the same message is received more than once, duplicate appears at the beginning of the new message. Your new message contains the latest timestamp.
When a message is read that does not contain nu­meric data, tone only appears on the display.
