It is in your interest to retain the retailers receipt as proof of purchase. Please quote the following information if the product develops a fault. These numbers can be found on the base of the product.

If the fault develops after 28 days and within 24 months of original purchase, you should contact the helpline number quoting Model number and Serial number on the product, or write to the address below. You will be asked to return the product (in secure, adequate packaging) to the address below along with a copy of proof of purchase. Subject to the exclusions set out below (see ‘Exclusions’) the faulty appliance will then be repaired or replaced and dispatched usually within 7 working days of receipt.
If for any reason this item is replaced during the 2 year guarantee period, the guarantee on the new item will be calculated from original purchase date. Therefore it is vital to retain your original till receipt or invoice to indicate the date of initial purchase.
To qualify for the 2 year guarantee the appliance must have been used according to the manufacturers instructions. For example kettles should have been regularly descaled or an iron cord should have been stored as recommended by the instructions.
EXCLUSIONS
Morphy Richards shall not be liable to replace or repair the goods under the terms of the Guarantee where: 1 The fault has been caused or is attributable to
accidental use, mis-use, negligent use or used contrary
to the manufacturers recommendations or where the
fault has been caused by power surges or damage
caused in transit. 2 The appliance has been used on a voltage supply other
than that stamped on the products. 3 Repairs have been attempted by persons other than
our service staff (or authorised dealer). 4 Where the appliance has been used for hire purposes
or non-domestic use. 5 Morphy Richards are not liable to carry out any type of
servicing work, under the guarantee. 6 Plastic filters for all Morphy Richards kettles and coffee
makers are not covered by the guarantee.
This guarantee does not confer any rights other than those expressly set out above and does not cover any claims for consequential loss or damage. This guarantee is offered as an additional benefit and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Please read the following instructions carefully because when you use any electrical appliance, a few basic rules should be followed:
Remove all the packaging and retain it for future use but remember that packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc.) are a potential source of danger, and must be kept out of the reach of children.
Check the appliance for damage after unpacking. If in doubt, DO NOT use the appliance; return it to place of purchase.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner, in the event of this occurring please telephone Morphy Richards using the helpline number on the front of this leaflet, for advice.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or coffee maker in water or other liquid.
Do not allow the appliance to be used by children.
Make sure that small children cannot reach the coffee maker and that the mains lead does not hang over the edge of the work surface.
Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces.
The use of accessory attachments is not recommended by the appliance manufacturer as it may result in fire, electric shock, or personal injury.
Your coffee maker is designed for domestic use only. Any other use of the appliance is considered improper and therefore dangerous and will invalidate the guarantee.
Be sure that the lid is securely in place before brewing and serving coffee.
Do not touch hot surfaces, use handles or knobs.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
Remove and replace lid carefully.
Scalding may occur if lid is removed during brewing cycle.
Extreme caution must be used when moving a coffee maker containing hot liquids.
This percolator is only to be used with the cordless base provided.
Remove the plug from the mains supply when cleaning or when the appliance is not in use. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not leave the appliance switched on unnecessarily.
Do not use abrasive cleaners on your machine as they may scratch the surface. Clean by wiping with a soft damp cloth.

Check that the voltage on the rating plate of your appliance corresponds with your house electricity supply which must be A.C. (Alternating Current).
If the socket outlets in your home are not suitable for the plug supplied with this appliance, the plug should be removed and the appropriate one fitted.
WARNING: The plug removed from the mains lead, if severed, must be destroyed as a plug with bared flexible cord is hazardous if engaged into a live socket outlet.
WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
Should the fuse in the 13 amp plug require changing, a 13 amp BS1362 fuse must be fitted.

IMPORTANT: To ensure correct operation, read and follow instructions carefully.
Take your coffee maker out of the box. Remove the packaging and store it in a safe place away from children and retain for future use.
Before using the coffee maker for the first
time, wash the inside of the coffee maker, cover and basket assembly with hot soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. DO NOT IMMERSE COFFEE MAKER IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID.

1 Always fill your coffee maker with fresh
COLD water. Fill to desired level, see the fill level indicator on the inside of the body. Make at least 2 cups at a time to assure best flavour.
2 Place either medium or percolator grind
coffee in the basket ¤. When adding coffee to basket, place a finger over the tube to prevent grounds from falling through. The following suggested amounts can be adjusted according to personal preference:

3 Cover the basket ¤ with the basket lid ⁄. 4 Slip the basket on the perk tube and seat
the perk tube in the perk tube well . If not seated properly the coffee maker will not perk.
5 Place the lid firmly on the coffee maker. 6 Place the coffee maker on to the cordless
base, then plug into the wall socket. Never plug coffee maker in without water or liquid coffee in it. Excess cord can be stored in the cordless base unit. The neon light comes on automatically when coffee is ready. Coffee stays hot as long as coffee maker is plugged in.
7 Disconnect the cord from the wall socket
then lift coffee maker from the base unit before cleaning.

Rinse coffee maker with cold water before
brewing successive pots.

Remove the basket ¤ and perk tube from the coffee maker. Heat 3 to 5 minutes depending on the amount of coffee left in the coffee maker. Do not reheat with less than 4 cups in the coffee maker.

Remove the plug from the socket and allow
the coffee maker to cool.
Wash and rinse the inside of the coffee maker,
cover and basket assembly with hot soapy water after each use. DO NOT IMMERSE
THE COFFEE MAKER OR CORDLESS BASE UNIT IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID. The perk tube and spout can be
cleaned with a brush or pipe cleaner.
Wipe outside surface with a damp cloth and
thoroughly dry with a towel. Do not use solvents, detergents or abrasive products to clean the body of your coffee maker.
Periodically remove oils and stains from inside
the coffee maker with a coffee stain remover.
