One of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the

world, the Manufacturing Division of Mitsubishi Motors North America,

Inc. (MMNA), in Normal, Illinois, has produced more than 3,000,000

vehicles since the rst car rolled off the assembly line in 1988. The

facility employs nearly 1,300 people, approximately 1,000 of whom

are members of the United Auto Workers union, and they currently

assemble the Outlander Sport. MMNA Manufacturing and its employees

features seven airbags, including dual-stage front airbags with a

Brake Pedal Recession Protection Structure to reduce driver leg injury in

Stability Control and Traction Control helps drivers maintain control

monitor traction and work with the anti-lock braking system to
