Caring for the environment
Disposal of the packing material
The transport and protective packing has been selected from materials which are environmentally friendly for disposal and should be recycled.
Ensure that any plastic wrappings, bags, etc. are disposed of safely and kept out of the reach of babies and young children. Danger of suffocation.
Disposing of your old machine
Electrical and electronic machines often contain materials which, if handled or disposed of incorrectly, could be potentially hazardous to human health and to the environment. They are, however, essential for the correct functioning of your machine. Please do not dispose of it with your household waste.
Energy saving tips
To avoid unnecessarily long drying times and high consumption of energy:
Make sure that your laundry is
thoroughly spun before drying. The higher the spin, the greater the savings that can be made in energy and time during drying.
Load according to the optimum
amount of laundry recommended for the programme being used. Underloading is uneconomical. Overloading gives a poorer quality of drying and may cause unnecessary creasing.
– Make sure that the room temperature
is not too high. If there are other heat producing appliances in the room in which the dryer is located, make sure the room is well ventilated and switch the other appliances off, if possible.
– After every cycle remove the fluff
from the fluff filters (see "Cleaning and Care").
Please dispose of it at your local community waste collection / recycling centre or contact your dealer for advice. Ensure that it presents no danger to children while being stored for disposal.

Do not connect the tumble dryer to the mains electricity supply by
~
an extension lead. Extension leads do not guarantee the required safety of the tumble dryer (e.g. danger of overheating).
7
Warning and Safety instructions
The electrical safety of this tumble dryer can only be guaranteed
~
when correctly earthed. It is most important that this basic safety requirement is observed and regularly tested, and where there is any doubt the on-site wiring system should be inspected by a qualified electrician. Miele cannot be held liable for the consequences of an inadequate earthing system (e.g. electric shock).
Unauthorised repairs could result in unforeseen dangers for the
~
user, for which Miele cannot accept liability. Repairs should only be undertaken by a Miele approved service technician, otherwise any subsequent damage will not be covered by the guarantee. Ensure current is not supplied to the tumble dryer until after maintenance or repair work has been carried out.
Faulty components must only be replaced by genuine Miele
~
original spare parts. Only when these parts are fitted can the safety standards of the tumble dryer be guaranteed.
To ensure the correct performance of the tumble dryer and to
~
prevent the risk of faults and fire, it is important to check it and carry out maintenance on a regular basis.
The tumble dryer must be isolated from the electricity supply in
~
the event of a fault and during cleaning and maintenance. Please also read the "Electrical connection" section.
The tumble dryer must not be used in a non-stationary location
~
(e.g. on a ship).

Warning and Safety instructions
Please observe the instructions in "Installation and connection"
~
and "Technical data".
The socket must be easily accessible after installation in order to
~
disconnect the tumble dryer from the electricity supply.
For hard-wired machines, the all-pole isolator provided on-site
~
must be easily accessible after installation in order to disconnect the tumble dryer from the electricity supply.
Do not block the gap between the base of the dryer and the floor
~
with plinth facings, deep pile carpet etc. as this would hinder a sufficient intake of air.
Make sure the dryer door can be opened without hindrance after
~
installation.
In areas which may be subject to infestation by cockroaches or
~
other vermin, pay particular attention to keeping the tumble dryer and its surroundings in a clean condition at all times. Any damage which may be caused by cockroaches or other vermin will not be covered by the appliance guarantee.
This tumble dryer is supplied with a special lamp to cope with
~
particular conditions (e.g. temperature, moisture, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance and vibration). This special lamp must only be used for the purpose it is intended for. It is not suitable for room lighting.
10
Warning and Safety instructions
Correct use
The maximum load of dry laundry for this tumble dryer is 6.5 kg.
~
See the Programme chart for the maximum recommended loads in individual programmes.
Do not let anyone sit or lean on the door, as this can cause the
~
tumble dryer to tip up. Danger of injury.
Always close the door after use. This way you will avoid the
~
danger of:
children climbing into the dryer or hiding things in it.
– pets or other small animals climbing into it.
Do not use a pressure washer or hose to clean the tumble dryer.
~
Always keep the area around the tumble dryer free of dust and
~
fluff. Dust drawn into the appliance can cause blockages. Faults can then occur as well as the risk of fire.
This dryer must not be used:
~
– without the fluff filters or the plinth filter in place.
– without the grille on the bottom right in place.
if the fluff filters or plinth filter are damaged in any way. In the event of any damage, replace them immediately.
This would cause an excessive build-up of fluff which in turn would cause a fault.
11
Warning and Safety instructions
To avoid operational faults:
~
After every cycle remove fluff from the surfaces of the fluff filters.
The fluff filters and the plinth filter must be dried after being
cleaned with water. Wet fluff filters or a wet plinth filter could cause operational faults.
Always clean the airways (fluff filters, plinth filter, grille bottom
right) when the prompt to do so appears in the display.
Do not install the tumble dryer in a room where there is a risk of
~
frost occurring. At temperatures around freezing point the tumble dryer may not be able to operate properly. There is a risk of damage if the condensed water is allowed to freeze in the pump and hoses. The ambient room temperature should be between +2°C and +35°C.
If the condensed water is drained externally, make sure the drain
~
hose is securely attached if you hang it in a sink or basin to avoid the hose slipping and the water causing damage.
Condensed water is not drinking water.
~
It can cause health problems in both people and animals.
12
Warning and Safety instructions
To prevent the risk of fire, the following textiles must not be dried
~
in this tumble dryer:
items which have not been washed.
items, such as workwear, which have not been thoroughly
cleaned and which are still soiled with grease, oil or other deposits (such as cosmetics, lotions etc). If items have not been thoroughly cleaned there is a danger that these might self-ignite when heated, even after they have been removed from the dryer at the end of the programme.
items (e.g. mops and floor cloths) which have been treated with
inflammable cleaning agents or which contain residues of acetone, alcohol, benzine, petrol, kerosene, stain remover, turpentine, wax, wax remover or other chemicals.
– items which have been splashed with hair lacquer, hair spray, nail
varnish remover or similar substances.
When washing such heavily soiled items ensure that you use sufficient detergent and select a high temperature. If in doubt, wash the items several times.
Remove all items such as lighters and matches from pockets.
~
Warning: Do not switch the tumble dryer off before the drying
~
programme has finished. If this is done, the laundry must be hung up or spread out to cool it down.
13
Warning and Safety instructions
Danger.
~
This tumble dryer must not be connected to a controllable socket (e.g. a timer switch or a peak load shut-off device). If the dryer programme were to be interrupted before the end of the cooling down phase, the laundry could self-combust.
To prevent the risk of fire, the following must not be tumble dried:
~
items which have been cleaned using chemicals (e.g.
professional dry-cleaning agents).
fabrics which contain a large proportion of rubber, foam rubber or
rubber-like materials. For example, products made from latex foam rubber, shower caps, waterproof textiles, rubberised articles and items of clothing and pillows with foam rubber filling.
– damaged items which contain padding or fillings (e.g. pillows,
jackets). When damaged, the filling can get out with the risk of igniting in the dryer.
In many programmes, the heating phase is followed by a cooling
~
down phase to ensure that the items are not too hot to handle when you remove them (this also avoids the danger of the laundry self-igniting). The programme is not finished until the cooling down phase has been completed. As soon as the programme has finished, remove all laundry from the drum.
Fabric conditioner and similar products must be used according
~
to the instructions on the manufacturer's packaging.
14
Warning and Safety instructions
Benzine, petrol, paraffin or any easily flammable liquid must not
~
be stored or used near the tumble dryer. Danger of fire and explosion.
Do not allow air contaminated with chlorine, fluorine or other
~
vapours containing solvents to get into the tumble dryer. Fire hazard.
For tumble dryers with stainless steel surfaces:
~
The stainless steel surfaces must not come into contact with liquid cleaning and disinfecting agents which contain chlorine or sodium hypochlorite. These agents can have a corrosive effect on stainless steel. Aggressive vapours containing chlorine can also be corrosive. Do not, therefore, store containers of these agents near the tumble dryer.
15
Warning and Safety instructions
Accessories

1. Sort the laundry
Garment care label symbols
Drying
q/r Normal/low temperature
Drying is carried out at a low temperature in every programme in this dryer, so you do not need to sort your garments according to whether they have the q or r symbol.
s Do not tumble dry
Ironing
I Very hot H Hot G Warm J Do not iron
Before drying
– Wash heavily soiled items very
thoroughly, ensuring that you use sufficient detergent and select a high temperature. If in doubt, wash the items several times.
Do not put soaking wet items into the tumble dryer. Make sure that your laundry is thoroughly spun before drying. The higher the spin, the greater the savings that can be made in energy and time during drying.
New dark-coloured garments should
be washed and dried separately from light-coloured garments the first few times they are washed, to avoid the risk of colours running and discolouring other garments or even the plastic components in the machine. Dark-coloured fibres can also settle on light-coloured garments and vice versa.
Starched laundry can be dried in the
tumble dryer. To achieve the usual finish, double the amount of starch should be used.
– Check the seams of padded or
down-filled items to prevent the risk of fillings coming out. These could catch fire in the tumble dryer.
– Tie together textile belts and apron
ties to stop them getting tangled.
– Fasten duvet covers etc. to prevent
small items from being trapped inside them. Fasten hooks and eyes.
Stitch in or remove loose underwiring from bras.
Leave jackets open and undo any long zips so that textiles dry evenly.
For an even drying result, it is important to... . . . spin, . . . shake out, . . . and sort items according to fabric type, size and the drying level required.
20
Notes and tips on laundry care
2. Load the tumble dryer
Using the tumble dryer
,
incorrectly could cause a fire. Read the "Warning and Safety instructions" before using the dryer.
Make sure that objects, e.g.
,
detergent dispensing balls, have been removed from the laundry. They could melt and cause damage to the dryer or the laundry.
Do not overload the drum.
Overloading can cause unnecessary wear and tear to the laundry, give a disappointing drying result and cause more creasing.
– To save energy, always observe the
maximum load for each programme (see "Programme chart").
– Minimum iron fabrics tend to crease
more the greater the load. This is also the case for garments made from very fine weave fabrics, such as shirts or blouses. If necessary, reduce the size of the load for these types of fabrics.
3. Select a programme
On many programmes, different
drying levels can be selected depending on individual requirements:
. . . e.g. Normal+ for laundry that you want to fold and put away immedi ately after drying.
. . . e.g. Machine iron or Hand iron if the laundry needs further processing after drying, e.g. machine ironing. See "Programme chart".
Select Gentle tumble for delicate
fabrics (drying with reduced mechanical action).
– Down-filled garments have linings
which have a tendency to shrink, depending on the quality of the item. They can be partially dried using the Smoothing programme.
– Pure linen items should only be
machine dried if specified as suitable by the manufacturer on the care label, as the surface of the fabric may otherwise become rough. They can be partially dried using the Smoothing programme.
-
Woollens and wool blends tend to become matted and shrink if dried in a tumble dryer. Only dry these fabrics in a Woollens programme.
Loopknit garments (e.g. T-shirts and underwear) tend to shrink depending on their quality. Do not over-dry. When purchasing these garments it is advisable to take their shrinkage properties into account.

Cleaning and care
Make sure you clean all the filters at the correct intervals
This tumble dryer has a multistage filter system, consisting of the fluff filters (1) and a filter in the plinth (2). This system, together with the bottom right grille/airway (3) requires regular maintenance.
Do not operate the tumble dryer
without the fluff filters and the filter in the plinth in place. Also the bottom right grille must always be in place.
– Make sure that the fluff filters and
the fine filter are not damaged. Replace them immediately, if they are damaged in any way (available as optional accessories).
Failure to do so could cause an
excessive build-up of fluff which in turn could cause a fault!
1. When to clean the fluff filters
Clean the fluff filters after each
drying programme
The fluff which is created by the drying process is collected by the fluff filters in the door and the door opening.
See “Cleaning the fluff filters”
33
Cleaning and care
2. When to clean the filter in the plinth
The plinth filter protects the heat exchanger from fluff. Therefore it is particularly important to clean this filter thoroughly on a regular basis in accordance with these operating instructions. The filter must also be checked regularly for wear.
With normal use Clean when Clean plinth filter ap-
pears in the display.
With continuous use Clean 1x daily and additionally when
the prompt appears in the display.
The filter in the plinth is behind the service panel on the bottom left. It collects finer fluff, hair and detergent residues that have got through the surfaces of the fluff filters.
If the filter is not properly
cleaned or is worn or blocked, the heat exchanger will be permanently obstructed. There is insufficient flow of air and heat in the heat exchanger.
This requires a visit from the Service department.
This can be avoided by following the advice in these operating instructions.
See “Filter in the plinth”.To clear the Clean plinth filter prompt:
Confirm with OK.
34
3. When to clean the bottom right grille / airways
Clean when Open grille bottom right and clean airways appears in the dis-
play.
There are vents for air cooling in the bottom right grille. The cooling fins behind the grille can become blocked with dust and dirt drawn in from the surrounding area.
Keep the room where the tumble
dryer is located free from dust and fluff. This will reduce the requirement to clean the bottom right grille/airways.
Cleaning and care
See “Bottom right grille/airways”.Also check and clean the filter in the
plinth and surfaces of the fluff filters.
To clear the Open grille bottom right
and clean airways prompt: Confirm
with OK.

Cleaning and care
Cleaning the fluff filters
When to clean
Clean the surfaces of the fluff fil-
ters in the door and the door opening after each drying programme.
Cleaning them whilst dry
Tip: You can use a vacuum cleaner to
remove the fluff.
Use your fingers or a vacuum cleaner
to remove the fluff from the surface of the filter.
1 Fluff filter 2 Door seal
Open the door and pull the fluff filter
(1) out of the door as illustrated.
Remove any fluff from the hollow part
of the door with a bottle brush or a vacuum cleaner.
Also clean the door seal (2) with a
damp cloth.
36
Use your fingers or a vacuum cleaner
to remove the fluff from the two fluff filters in the door opening.
Once clean, push the filter back into
the door holder until it clicks into position. Ensure it is facing the correct way.
Close the door.
Cleaning and care
Cleaning them with water
If there is a great deal of com-
pacted fluff on any of the filters, they can be removed and cleaned under hot running water.
Open the door and pull the fluff filter
out of the door as described previously.
The two filters in the door opening can also be removed if you need to clean them with water.
Replacing them
Do not replace them if they are
damp or wet. Damp or wet filters could cause operational faults.
Push the large filter back into the
door holder until it clicks into position. Ensure it is facing the correct way.
Replace the filters in the door open-
ing by first inserting them at the bottom and then pressing them into place at the top.
Lock both dials (you will feel them
click into position).
Turn the dial on the left and right
fluff filter until you feel it click.
Pull the filter out of the door opening
by the dial as shown .
Rinse all the filters under hot, running
water.
Dry the fluff filters thoroughly with
care.

Cleaning and care
Cleaning
Tip: Fluff can be removed with a va-
cuum cleaner. This makes subsequent wet cleaning easier.
Rinse the filter thoroughly under
clean, running water.
Squeeze the filter very carefully sev-
eral times as you rinse it.
Rinse the filter until all visible residues
have been removed.
The plinth filter must not be re-
placed dripping wet. This can cause a fault.
The plinth filter must be perfectly
functional and undamaged after cleaning.
If the filter is not properly cleaned or is damaged, the flow of air and heat will be impeded and the heat exchanger will be permanently obstructed.
Before and after cleaning check the plinth filter in accordance with the description in “Replacing the plinth filter”.
Poor fit
The edges of the filter do not sit properly and the filter is deformed. Fluff will blow into the heat exchanger unfiltered through edges that do not sit properly. This will cause a permanent obstruction in the heat exchanger.
Use a damp cloth to remove any fluff
from the handle.
Replacing the plinth filter
If the tumble dryer is in continu-
ous use and is being cleaned regularly the plinth filter can begin to show signs of wear after a while.
Replace the filter immediately if you see the following signs of wear be- fore or after cleaning.
39
Cleaning and care
Deformation
Deformations indicate that the filter has become blocked and worn by continuous use.
Cracks, tears, indentations
Indentations indicate that the filter has become blocked and worn by continuous use.
White residues or residues of other colours
Residues arise from laundry fibres and traces of detergent components which can clog the filter. They can be found on the front and side edges of the filter. In extreme cases they can form stubborn hard crusts. Residues are a sign that the filter no is longer a snug fit at the sides, even if it appears to be perfect: fluff is getting in unfiltered at the edges.
Fluff will blow into the heat exchanger through cracks and tears and will cause obstruction.
40
If these residues appear on the filter again soon after cleaning, the filter must be replaced.
Cleaning and care
Cleaning the filter insert (in the plinth)
The surface of the filter in the filter insert is visible after removing the filter from the plinth. This filter surface must only be cleaned if there is a visible accumulation of fluff.
Carefully vacuum up any visible fluff
or soiling. Use a dusting brush or the narrow crevice nozzle.
If there are visible blockages or other residues after cleaning: remove the filter insert and wet clean it. If stubborn residues are not removed, these can lead to faults over time.
Removing the filter insert
If the filter insert has soiling adhering to it, it must be removed for wet cleaning.
Pull the filter insert out at an angle by
the handle, so that the lower half is pulled forward.
Then pull the filter insert out at an
angle to the left. Levering it slightly as you do so will make it easier to remove.
Rinse the filter surface of the insert
under warm running water.
41
Cleaning and care
Ensure the filters are dry before replacing them. Wet filters could cause operational faults.
Shake the filter insert thoroughly and then dry it carefully.
Check the cooling fins on the heat exchanger
Danger of injury if you touch the
cooling fins. You could cut yourself. Do not touch the cooling fins with
your hands.
After removing the filter insert visually check the cooling fins on the heat exchanger. Check for any accumulation of fluff.
Risk of damage if cooling fins are
cleaned incorrectly. The cooling fins can suffer damage
or get bent. This would hinder the operational performance of the dryer.
Clean using a vacuum cleaner with a dusting brush attached. Only pass the vacuum cleaner dusting brush over the fins lightly, without applying any pressure.
Refitting the filter insert (in the plinth)
Carefully vacuum up any visible fluff
or soiling. Use a dusting brush or the narrow crevice nozzle.
42
Push the filter insert in gently at an
angle.
The filter insert must first be pushed in at the top, so that it is easier to fit.
Push the filter insert in by the handle
at an angle, such that the lower half sits forwards at an angle.
Cleaning and care
Refitting the fluff filter (in the plinth)
Fit the filter back on the handle. Make
sure it is the correct way round.
Then push it in straight.
The filter insert must sit evenly at the top and bottom.
Press the frame of the filter insert in at
the 3 positions marked PUSH until it audibly engages.
First insert the handle with the filter
attached the right way round over the two guide pins.
Make sure that the yellow dot on the handle is on the right.
43
Cleaning and care
Then press on the handle until the fil-
ter is secured in position.
Cleaning and closing the access panel
Use a damp cloth to remove any fluff
from the access panel. Make sure that you do not damage the rubber seal when doing this.
44
Close the access panel.
It is important that the filters and the access panel are correctly positioned and locked to ensure the system is correctly sealed and that the dryer will function correctly.

Danger of injury. You could cut
yourself. Do not touch the cooling fins with
your hands.
In the case of visible soiling:
We recommend cleaning with a vacuum cleaner and dusting brush. Carefully pass the vacuum cleaner brush over the surface, without applying any pressure. Otherwise the cooling fins or the struts in front of them could become damaged.
Place the lid opener on the top edge
centrally in the gap and lightly lever the grille downwards (arrow) until the grille opens at the top.
Remove the grille at an angle up-
wards.
Cleaning
Check whether the cooling fins are
blocked.
Remove any soiling carefully and
without applying any pressure to the dusting brush.
45
Cleaning and care
Replacing
Insert the grille at the bottom.Push the grille firmly into place along
the top edge.
Tumble dryer
Disconnect the tumble dryer
from the mains electricity supply.
Do not use solvents, abrasive
cleaners, glass cleaners or multi-purpose cleaning agents. These could damage plastic surfaces and other parts.
The tumble dryer must not be
hosed down.
Clean the tumble dryer with a slightly
damp cloth and a mild non-abrasive cleaning agent or a solution of washing-up liquid and water.
Clean the seal around the inside of
the door with a damp cloth.
Dry all parts with a soft cloth. The drum and other stainless steel
parts can be cleaned with a suitable proprietary stainless steel cleaner following the manufacturer's instructions.

An unsatisfactory drying result
Problem Possible cause Remedy
The laundry is not sufficiently dry.
Feather filled pillows smell after drying.
Items made of synthetic fibres are charged with static electricity after drying.
There is a build-up of fluff.
The load consisted of different fabrics.
Feathers are a natural product and this is quite normal.
Synthetic fibres tend to attract static charge.
Fluff is principally the result of friction when garments are being worn and to some extent when they are being washed. Machine drying causes hardly any fluff to form and has no appreciable effect on the lifetime of the fabric.
Finish drying using the
Warm air programme. Select a different
programme next time (see "Programme chart").
The smell will dissipate after sufficient airing.
Static charge can be reduced by adding a fabric conditioner to the final rinse in the washing programme or a fabric conditioner sheet to the load when drying.
Fluff is collected by the fluff filter and can be easily removed (see "Cleaning and care").

The fluff filters and the plinth filter were still wet when they were replaced.
The laundry has not been spun sufficiently.
The tumble dryer has been overloaded.
Metallic components, e.g. zips have prevented the dryer from registering the correct moisture level in the laundry.
Open a door or window while the dryer is in operation for increased air flow.
Clean these as described in "Cleaning and care - Bottom right grille/airway".
Clean these as described in "Cleaning and care - Cleaning the surfaces of the fluff filters/Cleaning the plinth filter".
The fluff filters and the plinth filter must be dry.
Make sure that your laundry is thoroughly spun at the appropriate spin speed in the washing machine.
Do not exceed the maximum load for the programme selected.
Open zips next time.
If the problem occurs again, dry garments with long zips using the Warm air programme (timed drying).

Installation site
Make sure the dryer door can be
,
opened without hindrance after installation.
Transporting the dryer to its installation site
If transporting the dryer at an
,
angle, only tip it towards its left side.
When moving the dryer, hold it by the lid where it protrudes to the rear. To manoeuvre the dryer out of its packing case to its installation site you will also need to hold it by the front feet.
,
Ensure the tumble dryer is stable
during transportion.
58
,
If the tumble dryer has not been transported as described, then it must be left to stand for at least 1 hour before it is connected to the electricity supply. Otherwise the heat pump can be damaged.
Levelling the tumble dryer
The machine must be perfectly level to ensure safe and proper operation.
Installation and connection
Never block the vents on the
,
dryer. In order to ensure sufficient ventilation to the dryer, do not reduce the vent gap between the underside of the dryer and the floor with a plinth, deep-pile carpet, etc.
This tumble dryer is not suitable for building under.
Securing the tumble dryer against slippage
^
The screw feet can be adjusted to compensate for any unevenness in the floor.
,
Secure both front feet on the dryer using the fixing brackets supplied.
59
Installation and connection
Payment system
The dryer can be fitted with a Miele payment system (optional accessory). This must be connected and programmed by a Miele Service technician.
Coins/tokens must be removed from the payment system regularly, otherwise it will become blocked.
Note for service technician:
When connecting a payment
,
system the plug connector on the push button switch (see wiring diagram) must be disconnected from its position ex-works and reconnected to the position for payment system operation. Failure to do this can cause the payment system to malfunction.
Room ventilation
Cool air is taken in and then warmed
during the drying process after which it is expelled from the dryer. It is therefore very important to ensure that the room is adequately ventilated, particularly if the dryer is located in a small room.
Make sure that the room temperature
is not too high. If there are other heat producing appliances in the room in which the dryer is located, make sure the room is well ventilated and switch the other appliances off, if possible.
Otherwise running times and energy consumption could be increased.
60
Installation and connection
Hose for external drainage of condensed water
The condensed water is pumped away through the drain hose at the back of the dryer.
Positioning the drain hose
Do not pull on the drain hose

Certain installation conditions require the dryer to be fitted with a non-return valve (available as an optional accessory). See "Drain hose connection".
Drain hose connection
Direct into a sink or basin
Secure the hose carefully (e.g. by
tying it to a tap to make sure it cannot slip during use). Otherwise there is a risk of overflowing water which could cause damage.
Fit a non-return valve if the end of the
hose could become immersed in water.
Connected securely to a floor gully
– It is essential to fit a non-return valve.
Connected directly to a sink drain outlet
– It is essential to fit a non-return valve.
If the tumble dryer is to be connected to a drainage system already in use by another appliance, e.g. a dishwasher
– It is essential to fit a non-return valve.

from the electricity supply adequate measures must be taken to ensure that the machine cannot be reconnected to the electricity supply until all work has been carried out.
This machine is supplied with a connection cable and moulded plug (BS 1363) for connection to a 230 V mains supply.
The machine must only be operated with the voltage, frequency and fuse rating shown on the data plate supplied with the machine. Please ensure these match the site mains supply.
We recommend connecting the machine to the power supply via an IP44 plug and socket which must be easily accessible for servicing and maintenance work after the machine has been installed.
Do not connect the machine via an extension lead. Extension leads do not guarantee the required safety of the machine (e.g. danger of overheating).
For extra safety and protection we recommend connecting the machine by a 30 mA residual current device (RCD).
The machine must be
,
permanently connected to the electricity supply to enable the programme to complete and to enable the load to cool down after drying. For this reason it must not be connected to devices such as timers which would switch it off automatically.
WARNING THIS MACHINE MUST BE EARTHED
An electrical safety test must be carried out after installation and after any ser vice work.
The mains connection cable may only be replaced by an original Miele spare part.
