Safety Instructions
Read the Safety Instructions through carefully before bringing the device into operation.
Pay attention to the warnings in the Operating Instructions.
Always keep the Operating Instructions close to hand. Pass these Instructions on as well under all circumstances if you sell or pass on the device.
Electrical devices require special caution
Batteries/rechargeable batteries can be dangerous if they are swallowed. Keep the device and the batteries inaccessible to small children for this reason.
Medical assistance must be sought immediately if a battery has been swallowed.
Never subject the batteries to excess heat, such as because of sunshine, fire or similar influences.
Also keep the packaging away from small children. There is the danger of suffocation.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device. This device is not intended to be used by individuals with restricted physical, sensory, or intellectual abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge (including children), unless they are being supervised by an individual responsible for their safety or

have received instructions from such an individual about how the device is to be used.
Only use rechargeable metal-hybrid batteries (NiMH), nickel-cadmium (NICD) or alkaline batteries (RAM batteries).
Do not use any batteries in the device that are not clearly labelled as rechargeable.
There will be the danger of injury and the device could be damaged if other types of battery are used.
Always only use rechargeable batteries (batteries) of the same type for a charging process!
Only connect the plug-in power supply unit to a well accessible 240 V ~ 50 Hz socket.
Only use the plug-in power supply unit supplied with the device with the battery charging device. The use of other plug-in power supply units could lead to damage to the device.
Do not cover the plug-in power supply unit, because otherwise warming and consequently damage to the plug-in power supply unit could arise.
You should not use any extension cables to avoid them being tripped over.
Keep the device away from moisture, drops of water and spray. Avoid dust, heat and direct solar radiation, in order to avoid operational malfunctions.

Use the device exclusively in living or similar areas.
In the Case of Malfunctions
Detach the plug-in power supply unit from the socket immediately in the case of damage to the plug, the charging device or the plug-in power supply unit.
Do not use the connection cable under any circumstances in the case of a damaged plug-in power supply unit.
A damaged plug-in power supply unit must no longer be used. Replace it by an equivalent plug-in power supply unit.
Do not attempt to open and/or repair the device yourself under any circumstances. Contact our Service Center or another suitable specialist workshop.
Have a defective device or a damaged plug-in power supply unit repaired by a qualified specialist workshop or contact the Service Center, in order to avoid endangerment.
Cleaning the unit
Please detach the plug-in power supply unit from the socket before cleaning the device. Use a dry, soft cloth to clean it. Avoid the use of chemical solvents and cleaning substances, because they could damage the surface and or the labels of the device.

Also clean the + and – terminals with a dry cloth after long use, in order to maintain an optimum contact at the terminals.
Dealing with Rechargeable Batteries
Do not use any damaged or corroded rechargeable batteries in the device.
Rechargeable batteries (batteries) can be dangerous to life if they have been swallowed. Keep the device and the rechargeable batteries inaccessible to small children for this reason!
Medical assistance must be sought immediately if a rechargeable battery has been swallowed.
Rechargeable batteries must be disposed of correctly. Corresponding containers ready for battery disposal are located in businesses selling batteries and at the local collection points for this purpose.
Avoid contact of the battery fluid with the skin under all circumstances if a battery is leaking! The battery fluid can cause skin irritation!
Remove the leaking battery with a dry, absorbent cloth and avoid contact with the skin by wearing gloves, for example.
