General instructions Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2

1. You are personally responsible for the safety of your child
at all times.

2. Never hold your child on your lap when driving.

3. The Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 is for car use only.

4. Do not use second-hand products whose history is
unknown.

5. Replace the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 after an accident.

6. Read this instruction manual carefully and keep it in the
storage space under the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2.

Warning: Correct fi tting of the car seat belt is essential for the

safety of your child. The car seat belt must be installed
following the red parts of the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2. NEVER fi t
the seat belt in a way other than described.

Warning: Do not make any changes to the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP

2, as this could lead to unsafe situations.

Maintenance instructions Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2

1. Use the original cover only, since it is part of the safety
features of this product.

2. The foam parts of the headrest and backrest may not be
removed.

3. Clean the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 regularly with lukewarm
water, soap and a soft cloth. Do not use any lubricants or
aggressive cleaning agents on this product.

The Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 has been approved in accordance
with the latest European safety standards (ECE R44/04) and is
suitable for children from 15 to 36 kg (approx. 3,5 years, with
a maximum height of 1,50 m).

Your child in the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2

1. Never leave your child unattended.

2. Always secure your child with the seat belt.

3. Make sure the headrest is adjusted to the proper height.

4. Before every use, make sure the harness belts are not
damaged or twisted.

5. Remove all objects from the child’s coat and trouser
pockets so they cannot get stuck between the child and
the harness belts. Such objects could cause injury in case
of an accident.

6. Tell your child not to play with the seat belt buckle and to
keep its head against the headrest.

Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 in the car

1. Use the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 only on a front-facing seat
that is fi tted with an automatic or static 3-point belt that
has been approved according to the ECE R16 standard or
similar. Do NOT use a 2-point belt.

2. Make sure the car seat can be installed properly in your car
before purchasing it.

3. Always fully install the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 with the car
seat belt, even if there is no child in it.

4. Deactivate the airbag if using the MaxiCosi XP 2 on the
front passenger seat. If this is not possible, place the
passenger seat in the rearmost position.

5. Remove the car seat headrest if it stops you from adjusting
the headrest of the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 to the desired
height.

6. Always install both components of the Maxi-Cosi Rodi
XP 2: seat + back support.

7. Make sure that fold-down rear seats are locked into
position and that the back rest of the car seat is upright
position.

8. Prevent the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 from becoming trapped
or weighed down by luggage, seats and/or slamming
doors.

9. Make sure all luggage and other loose objects are secured.

10. Always cover the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 when exposed to
direct sunlight in the car. Otherwise, the cover may
discolour and plastic parts may become too hot for your
child’s skin.

Warning: The Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 must only be installed in

the car in a forward-facing position.

to avoid the risk of suffocation.
For environmental reasons, when you have stopped using this
product, we ask that you dispose of the product in the proper
waste facilities in accordance with local legislation.

that you have the following information on hand:

- Serial number on the orange ECE sticker at the bottom of
the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 base;

- Car make and model and seat on which the Maxi-Cosi
Rodi XP 2 is used;

- Age, height and weight of your child.

Warranty

We guarantee that this product was manufactured in
accordance with the current European safety requirements and
quality standards which are applicable to this product, and
that this product is free from defects in workmanship and
material at the time of purchase. During the production
process the product was subjected to various quality checks.
If this product, despite our efforts, shows a material/
manufacturing fault within the warranty period of 24 months,
(with normal use as described in the user instructions) we will
comply with the warranty terms and conditions. In this case
please contact your dealer. For extensive information on
applying the warranty terms and conditions, you can contact
the dealer or look on our website: www.maxi-cosi.com.

The warranty is not valid in the following cases:

• In case of a use or purpose other than described in the
manual.

• If the product is submitted for repair through a dealer that
is not authorized by us.

• If the product is not supplied to the manufacturer with the
original purchase receipt (via the retailer and/or importer).

• If repairs were carried out by third parties or a dealer that
is not authorized by us.

• If the defect is the result of improper or careless use or
maintenance, negligence or impact damage to the fabric
cover and/or frame.

• If the parts show normal wear and tear that may be
expected from daily use of a product (wheels, rotating and
moving parts etc.)

Date of effect:

The warranty becomes effective on the date the product is
purchased.

Warranty term:

The warranty period applies for a period of 24 consecutive
months. The warranty only applies for the fi rst owner and is
not transferable.

What to do in case of defects:

After purchasing the product, keep the purchase receipt. The
date of purchase must be clearly visible on the receipt. Should
problems or defects arise please contact your retailer.
Exchanging or taking back the product cannot be requested.
Repairs do not give entitlement to extension of the warranty.
Products that are returned directly to the manufacturer are not
eligible for warranty.

This Warranty Clause conforms to European Directive 99/44/
EG of 25 May 1999.

Entretien du siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2

1. Utilisez toujours une housse d’origine, car la housse fait
également partie de la sécurité.

2. Les parties en mousse de l’appuie-tête et du dossier ne
doivent pas être enlevées.

3. Nettoyez régulièrement le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2
à l’eau tiède, avec du savon et un chiffon doux. N’utilisez
pas de lubrifi ants ni de produits de nettoyage agressifs.

Le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 est agréé selon la dernière
norme de sécurité européenne (ECE R44 /04) et convient aux
enfants pesant de 15 à 36 kg (à partir d’environ 3 ans ½ et
jusqu’à une taille maximale de 1,50 mètre).

Votre enfant dans le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2

1. Ne laissez jamais votre enfant seul dans la voiture.

2. Attachez toujours votre enfant avec la ceinture de sécurité
de la voiture.

3. Contrôlez que l’appuie-tête soit réglé à la bonne hauteur.

4. Contrôlez avant chaque utilisation que les sangles ne
soient pas endommagées ni vrillées.

5. Enlevez les objets des poches de la veste ou du pantalon
de votre enfant, afi n qu’ils ne se coincent pas entre
l’enfant et la ceinture de sécurité. En cas d’accident, ces
objets pourraient entraîner des blessures.

6. Apprenez à votre enfant qu’il ne doit jamais jouer avec la
boucle de la ceinture de la voiture et que sa tête doit
toujours rester dans l’appuie-tête.

Le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 dans la voiture

1. Utilisez le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 uniquement sur
un siège orienté vers l’avant, équipé d’une ceinture de
sécurité à enrouleur à 3 points de fi xation et homologuée
selon la norme ECE R16 ou une norme équivalente.
N’utilisez PAS de ceinture à 2 points de fi xation.

2. Avant l’achat, contrôlez que le siège-auto convienne bien
pour votre voiture.

3. Même à vide, le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 doit
toujours être fi xé à l’aide d’une ceinture de sécurité.

4. Si vous utilisez le Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 sur le siège passager
avant, désactivez l’airbag du siège en question ou placez le
siège passager dans la position la plus reculée.

5. Retirez l’appuie-tête du siège de la voiture si celui-ci
entrave le réglage de l’appuie-tête du siège-auto Maxi-Cosi
Rodi XP 2.

6. Utilisez toujours le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 dans sa
totalité : assise + dossier.

7. Veillez à ce que les banquettes arrière rabattables soient
verrouillées et que le dossier de la banquette soit toujours
à la verticale.

8. Évitez de coincer ou de surcharger le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi
Rodi XP 2 par des bagages, le réglage des sièges ou la
fermeture des portières.

9. Veillez à fi xer tous les bagages ou autres objets en vrac.

10. Recouvrez toujours le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 si
votre voiture est en plein soleil. Sinon, la housse risquerait
de se décolorer et les pièces en plastique pourraient
devenir trop chaudes pour la peau de l’enfant.

Pendant son processus de production, ce produit a également

Quand la garantie prend-elle effet ?

La période de garantie débute à la date d’achat du produit.

Pour quelle période ?

Pour une période de 24 mois consécutifs. La garantie est
uniquement valable pour le premier propriétaire et n’est pas
transmissible.

2. Lassen Sie Ihr Kind beim Autofahren nie auf Ihrem Schoß
sitzen.

3. Benutzen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 ausschließlich im
Fahrzeug.

4. Benutzen Sie kein gebrauchtes Produkt, dessen
Vorgeschichte nicht bekannt ist.

5. Tauschen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 nach einem Unfall
aus.

6. Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch und
bewahren Sie sie im Staufach unter dem Maxi-Cosi Rodi
XP 2 auf.

Warnung: Der richtige Verlauf des Autogurts ist von größter

Wichtigkeit für die Sicherheit Ihres Kindes. Der Autogurt muss
entlang der roten Markierungen des Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 mon­tiert werden. Wenden Sie NIEMALS einen anderen als den

Wartung des Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2

1. Benutzen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 ausschließlich mit
dem Originalbezug. Dieser Bezug ist Bestandteil der
Sicherheitsausrüstung.

2. Die Schaumteile der Kopf- und Rückenlehne dürfen nicht
entfernt werden.

3. Reinigen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 regelmäßig mit
einem weichen Tuch mit lauwarmem Wasser und Seife.
Verwenden Sie keine Schmiermittel oder aggressiven
Reinigungsmittel.

Der Maxi-Cosi Rodi XP 2 wurde gemäß den aktuellen
europäischen Sicherheitsnormen (ECE R44/04) zugelassen und
eignet sich für Kinder mit einem Gewicht von 15 bis 36 kg (ab
circa 3,5 Jahren und mit einer Größe von maximal 1.50 m).
