General Maxi-Cosi Pearl instructions

1. Only use the Maxi-Cosi Pearl on a Maxi-Cosi
FamilyFix with IsoFix and make sure to read
the instructions carefully.

2. You are personally responsible for the safety
of your child at all times.

3. Never hold your child on your lap when
driving.

4. The Maxi-Cosi Pearl is intended for car use
only.

5. Do not use the Maxi-Cosi Pearl for more than
5 years.

6. Do not use second-hand products whose
history is unknown.

7. Replace the Maxi-Cosi Pearl after an accident.

8. Read this instruction manual carefully and
keep it in the storage space in the

Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix.

Warning: Do not make any changes to the

Maxi-Cosi Pearl whatsoever, as this could lead to
unsafe situations.

Maxi-Cosi Pearl maintenance instructions

1. The cover can be removed for washing. If the
cover needs to be replaced at any time, only
use offi cial Maxi-Cosi fabrics.

2. The Maxi-Cosi Pearl must undergo regular
maintenance. Do not use lubricants or
aggressive cleaning agents.

The Maxi-Cosi Pearl and your baby

1. Never leave your child unattended.

2. Always secure your child with the harness
belt.

3. Check to make sure the headrest is adjusted
to the proper height.

4. Before every use, make sure the harnesses are
not damaged or twisted.

5. Make sure you can fi t no more than one
fi nger between the harnesses and your child
(1cm).

Maxi-Cosi Pearl car use

1. Always check to make sure the car seat is
compatible with the vehicle it is to be used in.

2. Make sure the fold-down rear seat is locked
into position.

3. Prevent the Maxi-Cosi Pearl from becoming
trapped or weighed down by luggage, seats
and/or slamming doors.

4. Make sure that all luggage and other loose
objects are secure.

5. Deactivate the airbag if using the Maxi-Cosi
Pearl on the front passenger seat. If this is not
possible, place the passenger seat in the
rearmost position.

6. Always cover the Maxi-Cosi Pearl when
exposed to direct sunlight in the car.
Otherwise, the cover, metal and plastic parts
could become too hot for your child’s skin.

Warning: The Maxi-Cosi Pearl must always be

placed in a forward-facing position in the car on a
Maxi-Cosi Family Fix.

Environment

Keep all plastic packaging materials out of reach
of your child to avoid the risk of suffocation.

For environmental reasons, when you have
stopped using this product, we ask that you
dispose of the product in the proper waste
facilities in accordance with local legislation.

Make sure that you have the following
information on hand:

- Serial number at the bottom of the orange
ECE sticker

- Make and type of car and seat on which the
Maxi-Cosi Pearl is used

- Age, height and weight of your child

Warranty

We guarantee that this product was
manufactured in accordance with the current
European safety requirements and quality
standards which are applicable to this product,
and that this product is free from defects in
workmanship and material at the time of
purchase. During the production process the
product was subjected to various quality checks.
If this product, despite our efforts, shows a
material/manufacturing fault within the warranty
period of 24 months, (with normal use as
described in the user instructions) we will comply
with the warranty terms and conditions. In this
case please contact your dealer. For extensive
information on applying the warranty terms and
conditions, you can contact the dealer or look on
our website: www.maxi-cosi.com.

The warranty is not valid in the following
cases:

• In case of a use or purpose other than
described in the manual.

• If the product is submitted for repair through
a dealer that is not authorized by us.

• If the product is not supplied to the
manufacturer with the original purchase
receipt (via the retailer and/or importer).

• If repairs were carried out by third parties or a
dealer that is not authorized by us.

• If the defect is the result of improper or
careless use or maintenance, negligence or
impact damage to the fabric cover and/or
frame.

• If the parts show normal wear and tear that
may be expected from daily use of a product
(wheels, rotating and moving parts etc.)

Date of effect:

The warranty becomes effective on the date the
product is purchased.

Warranty term:

The warranty period applies for a period of 24
consecutive months. The warranty only applies for
the fi rst owner and is not transferable.

What to do in case of defects:

After purchasing the product, keep the purchase
receipt. The date of purchase must be clearly
visible on the receipt. Should problems or defects
arise please contact your retailer. Exchanging or
taking back the product cannot be requested.
Repairs do not give entitlement to extension of
the warranty. Products that are returned directly
to the manufacturer are not eligible for warranty.

This Warranty Clause conforms to European
Directive 99/44/EG of 25 May 1999.

Généralités sur le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl

1. Utilisez le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl
uniquement sur l’embase IsoFix Maxi-Cosi
FamilyFix et lisez attentivement le mode
d’emploi des systèmes en question.

2. Vous êtes toujours vous-même responsable de
la sécurité de votre enfant.

3. Ne tenez jamais votre enfant sur les genoux
pendant les déplacements en voiture.

4. Utilisez le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl
uniquement dans la voiture.

5. N’utilisez pas le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl
plus de 5 ans après la date d’achat.

6. N’utilisez pas de produit d’occasion car vous
ignorez s’il a subi des dommages ou non
(visibles ou) .

7. Après un accident, remplacez toujours le
siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl.

8. Veuillez lire attentivement le présent mode
d’emploi et conserver le précieusement dans
le compartiment de rangement de l’embase
Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix.

Avertissement : Ne modifi ez en aucune façon le

siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl, il pourrait en résulter
des situations dangereuses.

Entretien du siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl

1. Utilisez toujours une housse d’origine, car la
housse constitue également un élément de
sécurité du siège-auto.

2. Effectuez un entretien régulier du siège-auto
Maxi-Cosi Pearl. N’utilisez pas de lubrifi ants ni
de produits de nettoyage agressifs.

Enfant dans le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl

1. Ne laissez jamais votre enfant seul dans la
voiture.

2. Attachez toujours votre enfant avec le
harnais.

3. Contrôlez que l’appuie-tête est réglé à la
bonne hauteur.

4. Contrôlez avant chaque utilisation que les
sangles ne sont pas endommagées ou
tordues.

5. L’espace entre votre enfant et le système de
harnais doit avoir au maximum l’épaisseur
d’un doigt (1 cm).

Le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl dans la voiture

1. Avant l’achat, contrôlez que le siège-auto
convient bien à votre voiture.

2. Verrouillez les banquettes arrière rabattables.

3. Evitez de coincer ou de surcharger le
siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl avec des bagages,
le réglage des sièges ou la fermeture des
portières.

4. Veillez à fi xer tous les bagages ou autres
objets non attachés pour éviter qu’ils ne
soient projetés en cas d’accident.

5. En cas d’utilisation sur le siège passager avant,
désactivez l’airbag du siège en question. Si
cela n’est pas possible, placez le siège
passager dans la position la plus reculée.

6. Recouvrez toujours le siège-auto Maxi-Cosi
Pearl si votre voiture est en plein soleil. La
housse ainsi que les pièces en métal ou en
plastique peuvent devenir trop chaudes pour
une peau d’enfant.

Avertissement : Placez dans la voiture le

siège-auto Maxi-Cosi Pearl uniquement face à la
route, sur l’embase Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix.

Environnement

Gardez le matériel d’emballage en plastique hors
de la portée de votre enfant pour éviter les risques
d’étouffement.

Lorsque vous n’utilisez plus le produit, nous vous
prions par souci de l’environnement de vous
débarrasser du produit en faisant le tri des
déchets et conformément à la législation locale en
la matière.

est utilisé ;

- L’âge (la taille) et le poids de votre enfant.

Garantie

Nous vous garantissons que ce produit a été
fabriqué conformément aux normes de sécurité
européennes et exigences de qualité actuellement
en vigueur pour ce produit et qu’au moment de
son achat par le détaillant, ce produit était
exempt de tout défaut de composition et de fabri­cation. Pendant son processus de production, ce
produit a également été soumis à divers contrôles
de qualité. Si, malgré tous nos efforts, un défaut
de matériau et/ou un vice de fabrication venait à
survenir pendant la période de garantie de 24
mois (dans le cas d’une utilisation normale, telle
que décrite dans le mode d’emploi), nous nous
engageons à respecter les conditions de garantie.
Vous êtes alors prié de vous adresser à votre
vendeur. Pour des informations plus détaillées
concernant l’applicabilité des conditions de
garantie, veuillez prendre contact avec votre
vendeur ou regarder sur: www.maxi-cosi.com.

La garantie est exclue dans les cas suivants :

• Lors d’une utilisation dans un but autre que
celui prévu dans le mode d’emploi.

• Lorsque le produit est proposé en réparation
par le biais d’un fournisseur non agréé.

• Lorsque le produit n’est pas renvoyé avec
l’original du ticket de caisse (par
l’intermédiaire du commerçant et/ou
importateur) au fabricant.

• Lorsque des réparations ont été effectuées par
un tiers ou un vendeur non agréé.

• Lorsque le défaut a été causé par une
utilisation ou un entretien incorrect ou
insuffi sant, une négligence ou des chocs au
niveau du textile et/ou du châssis.

• Lorsqu’il y a lieu de parler d’une usure
normale des pièces, telle que l’on peut
attendre d’une utilisation journalière (roues,
éléments rotatifs et mobiles, etc.).

Quand la garantie prend-elle effet ?

La période de garantie débute à la date d’achat
du produit.

Pour quelle période ?

Pour une période de 24 mois consécutifs. La
garantie est uniquement valable pour le premier
propriétaire et n’est pas transmissible.

Que devez-vous faire ?

Lors de l’achat du produit, veuillez conserver
soigneusement l’original du ticket de caisse. La
date d’achat doit y être clairement visible. En cas
de problèmes ou défauts, veuillez vous adresser à
votre vendeur. Aucun échange ni reprise ne peut
être exigé. Les réparations ne donnent pas lieu à
une prolongation de la période de garantie. Les
produits qui sont directement retournés au
fabricant ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.

Cette clause de garantie est conforme à la
directive européenne 99/44/CE datée du 25 mai

1999.

Allgemeines Maxi-Cosi Pearl

1. Benutzen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Pearl
ausschließlich auf einem Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix
mit IsoFix und lesen Sie die Gebrauchsan­weisung des Maxi-Cosi Pearl sorgfältig durch.

2. Sie sind immer selbst für die Sicherheit Ihres
Kindes verantwortlich.

3. Lassen Sie Ihr Kind beim Autofahren nie auf
Ihrem Schoß sitzen.

4. Benutzen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Pearl
ausschließlich im Fahrzeug.

5. Benutzen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Pearl nicht länger
als 5 Jahre.

6. Benutzen Sie kein gebrauchtes Produkt,
dessen Geschichte nicht bekannt ist.

7. Tauschen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Pearl nach einem
Unfall aus.

8. Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung
sorgfältig durch und bewahren Sie sie in dem
Staufach des Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix auf.

Warnung: Nehmen Sie keine Änderungen an

dem Maxi-Cosi Pearl vor, da dadurch Gefahr
entstehen kann.

Wartung Maxi-Cosi Pearl

1. Benutzen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Pearl
ausschließlich mit dem Originalbezug. Dieser
Bezug ist Bestandteil der Sicherheits­ausrüstung.

2. Warten Sie den Maxi-Cosi Pearl in
regelmäßigen Abständen. Verwenden Sie
keine Schmiermittel oder aggressive
Reinigungsmittel.

Kind im Maxi-Cosi Pearl

1. Lassen Sie Ihr Kind nie unbeaufsichtigt zurück.

2. Sichern Sie Ihr Kind immer mit dem
Hosenträger-Gurtsystem.

3. Prüfen Sie, ob die Kopfstütze auf die richtige
Höhe eingestellt ist.

4. Prüfen Sie vor jeder Benutzung, ob die Gurte
nicht beschädigt oder verdreht sind.

5. Achten Sie darauf, dass der Raum zwischen
Ihrem Kind und den Gurten nicht mehr als
eine Fingerbreite (1 cm) beträgt.

Maxi-Cosi Pearl im Fahrzeug

1. Prüfen Sie vor dem Kauf, ob sich der
Kinderautositz richtig im Fahrzeug befestigen
lässt.

2. Achten Sie darauf, dass die umklappbaren
Rücksitze verriegelt sind.

3. Vermeiden Sie, dass der Maxi-Cosi Pearl, zum
Beispiel durch Gepäck, Sitze und/oder
schließende Türen, eingeklemmt oder belastet
wird.

4. Achten Sie darauf, dass sämtliches Gepäck
oder sonstige lose Gegenstände richtig
befestigt sind.

5. Schalten Sie den Airbag bei Benutzung des
Kinderautositzes auf dem Beifahrersitz aus.
Sollte dies nicht möglich sein, stellen Sie den
Beifahrersitz dann in die hinterste Position.

6. Decken Sie den Maxi-Cosi Pearl immer ab,
wenn das Fahrzeug einer intensiven
Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt ist. Der Bezug
und die Metall- und Kunststoffteile werden
für die Kinderhaut zu heiß.

Warnung: Befestigen Sie den Maxi-Cosi Pearl

ausschließlich in Fahrtrichtung auf einen
Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix im Fahrzeug.

Umwelt

Halten Sie Verpackungsmaterialien aus Plastik von
Ihrem Kind fern, um Erstickungsgefahr zu
verhindern.

Wenn Sie das Produkt nicht mehr benutzen,
bitten wir Sie aus Umweltschutzgründen, das
Produkt entsprechend der örtlichen Vorschriften
zu entsorgen.

Achten Sie in diesem Fall darauf, dass Sie
folgende Daten zur Hand haben:

- Die Seriennummer, die sich unten auf dem
orangen ECE-Aufkleber befi ndet;

- Die Marke, den Fahrzeugtyp und den Sitz, auf
dem der Maxi-Cosi Pearl benutzt wird;

- Das Alter (die Körperlänge) und das Gewicht
Ihres Kindes.
