• All Maxi-Cosi products have been carefully designed and tested for your baby’s safety and comfort. Use only accessories sold or approved by Maxi-Cosi.

• Using other accessories may prove to be dangerous.

• Please read these instructions carefully and make yourself familiar with the child seat before using it.

• Always keep the instructions for future

reference; there is a storage compartment speciﬁcally provided on the child seat.

Universal System with a 3 point seat-belt:

• Approved model ECE R44/04

• For GROUP 0+ (infants less than 13 kg): the seat must be ﬁtted in the rearward-facing position semi-reclined in the front or the rear of the car.

• Do not use this car seat rearward facing, where front impact AIRBAGS are ﬁtted and armed.

• For Group 1 seats (babies from 9 to 18kg) the seat must be ﬁtted forward facing in the rear of the vehicle. Move the front seat of the car forward as far as possible so that the baby does not hit it.

• The manufacturer’s liability is limited to what is covered under the European Regulation (R44/04). This approval does not remove the necessity for care and respect for the Highway Code.

• After putting the child in the car seat, ensure that the car seat-belt is sufﬁciently taut by pulling the belt. Ensure also that the belt does not become twisted

The Maxi-Cosi Opal and your baby:

• In the rear facing position, the Opal car seat is automatically in the maximum reclining position. Consequently the recliner control cannot be used.

• Never leave a child unsupervised.

• Never leave your child alone in the vehicle.

• Even a gentle impact on a vehicle can turn a child into a projectile.

• For your own safety and that of your child, always put the child in the child car seat, however short your journey may be.

• Ensure that the straps under the stomach lie as low as possible, to properly support the pelvis.

• The temperature inside a vehicle may become very high, particularly after a long period of exposure to the sun. It is strongly recommended, under such conditions, to cover the seat of the car with a piece of material or something equivalent to prevent the harness ﬁxings, and in particular the metal parts, from becoming hot and burning the child.

Maxi-Cosi Opal car use

• This device should be used only on approved vehicles equipped with 3 point/static/inertia reel seat-belts that are approved in accordance with EEC/UN regulation N° 16 or other equivalent standard.

• Back to the road, do not use this car seat rearward facing, where front impact AIRBAGS are ﬁtted and armed. You may be able to deactivate it (see instruction book supplied with your vehicle). If so, and you are able to deactivate the airbag, you can use it facing forwards in your vehicle.

• Facing forward, the child seat must be placed on the rear seat of the vehicle or exceptionally on the front seat depending on the current legislation in the country of use.

• This child restraint is effective only if the instructions for use are respected.

• Always fasten the child restraint even when the

child is not sitting in it.

• The user must always check that any luggage and other objects likely to cause injury to the occupant of the car seat in the case of impact are properly secured.

• Never place heavy objects on the rear parcel shelf, to avoid the danger of projectiles in the event of an accident.

• The rigid parts and the plastic sections of a child restraint device should be positioned and installed in such a way that they cannot, when the vehicle is being used under normal conditions, become trapped under a moving seat or in the vehicle door.

• Always check that no part of the seat or the harness is trapped under a seat or in the vehicle door.

• It is essential that the car seat be replaced after an accident.

• Never modify the construction or the materials of the car seat and the seat belt without consulting the manufacturer.

• Do not use the child restraint device without the cover. Do not replace the seat cover with a cover other than that recommended by the manufacturer, because it will have a direct effect on the functioning of the child restraint.

• Folding seats must always be locked in place

• After purchasing, install the seat in your vehicle. If you encounter any installation problems due to the length of the vehicle seat belt, contact your distributor immediately (prior to use).

• If in any doubt about the correct installation or use of the system, the user is advised to contact

the distributor or the manufacturer of the child restraining device system.

Care

Fabric:

• Before removal, ensure you have carefully noted the way which the various parts are attached to the seat so as to facilitate reassembly.

• Before cleaning check the label sewn into the fabric, you will ﬁnd the wash symbols indicating the method of washing each item.

Warranty

Our 24 months warranty reﬂects our conﬁdence in the high quality of our design, engineering, production and product performance. We conﬁrm that this product was manufactured in accordance with the current European safety requirements and quality standards which are applicable to this product, and that this product is free from defects on materials and workmanship at the time of purchase.

Our 24 months warranty covers all manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used in normal conditions and in accordance with our user manual. To request repairs or spare parts under warranty for defects in materials and workmanship you must present your proof of purchase, made within the 24 months preceding the service request.

Our 24 months warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidents, abusive use, negligence or the consequence of

failing to comply with the user manual. Examples of normal wear and tear include wheels and fabric worn down by regular use and the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended period of time and use.

What to do in case of defects: Should problems or defects arise, your ﬁrst point of contact is your [Maxi-Cosi] dealer or retailer. Our 24 months Warranty is recognized by them You must present your proof of purchase, made within the 24 months preceding the service request. It is easiest if you get your service request pre-approved by [Maxi-Cosi] Service. In principle, we pay for shipment and for return freight connected to service requests under the warranty. Damage not covered by our warranty or on products outside of warranty can be handled at a reasonable fee.

This Warranty is in compliance with to European Directive 99/44/EG of 25 May 1999.

• ECE R44/04 모델 인가

Maxi-Cosi Opal 자동차 사용

• 본 기구는 EEC/UN 규제안 N° 16이나 기타 동등 표준에 의해 인가된 트-벨트가 장착된 인가된 자동차에서만 사용될 수 있습니다.

• 기구 사용은 사용법을 잘 따랐을 경우에만 효력이 있습니다.

• 자녀가 앉아있지 않더라도 항시 기구를 팽팽히 장 착해두십시오.

• 자동차내에서 충격이 가해질 경우 카 시트 사용자 에게 부상을 입힐 수 있는 가방이나 기타 물체들이 안전히 묶여있는지 항시 점검하십시오.

• 사고발생시 발사의 위험을 방지하기 위해 뒷면 물 건놓는 곳에 무거운 물체를 놓지 마십시오.

• 기구의 딱딱한 부분과 플라스틱 부분은 자동차를 평상 사용할때 움직이는 좌석아래나 자동차 문에 깔려 얽히지 않도록 위치해 놓고 설치해야 합니다.

• 카 시트의 어느 부분이나 멜빵이 좌석아래나 자동 차 문에 깔려있지 않도록 항시 점검하십시오.

• 사고후에는 카 시트를 교체해야 합니다.

• 제조사와 상의하지 않고 절대 카 시트와 시트 벨트

安全性

• 為了您的孩子的安全與舒適，Maxi-Cosi 的所有產品皆經仔細地設計與測試。只可以使用經由 Maxi-Cosi 銷售或認證的配件。

三點式車內安全帶通用（Universal）系統：

• 經歐規ECE R44/04 認證

• Group 0+ 座椅（體重不到13公斤的嬰幼兒）：安全座椅必須以後向方式固定於汽車前座或後座。

Maxi-Cosi Opal 與您的寶寶:

• 後向式使用時，Opal 安全座椅自動達到最大傾斜角度，因此躺角調整把手不起作用。

• Opal 安全座椅在後向使用時無法傾斜。

• 不得將孩童留置在無人看管的狀態。

• 不得將孩童獨自留在車內。

Maxi-Cosi Opal 安全座椅的車上使用：

• 在發生過意外事故後，務必更換新的安全座椅。

• 使用者必須確認行李及其他可能導致受傷的物體已經確實固定，在發生事故時不會砸到安全座椅上的孩童。

• 在使用孩童固定裝置時必須注意，確認在正常行車時，孩童固定裝置的堅硬部分及塑膠部分未被卡在座位或汽車門上。

• 在未徵詢過製造商意見之前，禁止修改安全座椅及安全帶的結構與材質。

• 切勿在沒有椅套的狀況下使用固定裝置。切勿將椅套換成其他非經製造商推薦認可的椅套，因為該椅套直接影響固定裝置的功能。

• 本孩童固定裝置僅在遵守使用指示的狀況下才有效。

• 隨時將孩童固定裝置固定，即使孩子不在安全座椅上。

• 切勿在車後方平板上放置重物，以避免在發生事故時彈出傷及孩童。

• 時時確認安全座椅或安全帶是否卡在座位或

汽車門上。

我们 24 个月的保修范围不包括因正常磨损、意外、滥用、疏忽或未遵守用户手册说明而造成的损坏。正常磨损包括因经常使用而造成的轮子和组织磨损，以及因长期过度使用而造成的颜色和材料自然损耗。

如果产品出现问题或缺陷，前往 Bébé Confort 经销商或零售商处获得快速服务是您的最佳选择。我们的 24 个月保修已获得其认可 (1)。您必须提交在提出服务请求前 24 个月内开出的购买证明。预先获得 Bébé Confort 服务部门对服务请求

的批准是最简单的方法。原则上，我们将支付与保修期内服务请求相关的运输往返运费。对超出保修范围的损坏维修将收取一定的合理费用。

本保修服务遵循 1999 年 5 月 25 日发布的欧洲指令 99/44/EG。

(1) 对于从零售商或经销商处购买的产品，如果移除或更改了标牌或识别号码，我们将视其为未经授权产品。由于无法确定其真实性，这些产品将不适用保修承诺。
