OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS POWERMID®DUAL POWER
1. Place the (flat) PowerMid® Receiver in the room that contains the audio / video equipment you want to control. Hook up the supplied adaptor and plug it in a 230V wall socket. If there’s no socket close enough, you can also place 4 ‘C’-cell batteries in the battery compartment. Please check if the polarity is correct. The receiver operates max. 5.000 hours on four C-size Alkaline batteries. To save batteries, you can switch off the device by sliding the switch at the bottom to ‘OFF’.

PowerMid Receiver
Make sure the front of the unit is facing your IR controlled A/V equipment, and place the antenna upwards. Make sure the unit is located maximum 6 meters away.
2. Plug the PowerMid® Transmitter into a 230V socket in the room from you want to remote control your equipment from. Make sure that the front side (with the Marmiteklogo) is pointed towards you, maximum 5 meters away. Fully extend the antenna.
3. Point your remote control at the PowerMid® Transmitter. It receives the IR-
PowerMid Transmitter
signals from your remote control and transmits these to the PowerMid® Receiver. The PowerMid® Receiver then re-transmits these infrared signals to your TV, VCR, stereo, etc. Add more Transmitters (art. no. 09481) to use your remote controls in several rooms. Add more Receivers (art. no. 09482) to control equipment in different rooms.
When it’s not possible for you to place the Receiver in front of your equipment (for example when it’s behind cabinet doors), you can use the supplied wired Infrared LEDs RX
570. Plug the extender into the rear of the receiver, and attach one of the black IR
Infrared LEDs

emitters to the IR Receiver of the equipment you want to control. The extender has three IR emitters, so you can control up to three devices. Never cut off an IR emitter! This may harm your PowerMid®.
Some satellite receivers require more careful positioning of the Powermid system. If any difficulty is encountered, try to move the PowerMid® Receiver a little in various positions until it operates correctly.
Note: The Transmitter and Receiver will most likely be in different rooms (up to 25 meters away). The range is depending on:
• The number of floors and walls the signal has to travel through and the materials these walls and floors are made of.
• Other 433MHz sources (e.g. wireless head phones, wireless speakers) can effect the range of the PowerMid®. The best range will be achieved when these sources are switched off while using the PowerMid®. Cordless telephones will not affect the PowerMid®.
