  • Q: What fuel do I use for the RBC252 and RBC253?

A: RBC252 requires a mixture with a ratio of 50 parts gasoline and 1 part genuine Makita 2 cycle engine oil. For 25 parts other manufacturer 2 cycle engine oil, RBC253 will require a ratio of 25 and mix that in.

  • Q: Am I able to add metal blades to the RBC253 model?

A: The short answer is no, metal blades are not allowed for RBC253 as it has to contain nylon cutting heads, while Metal blades are only available for the brush cutter RBC252.

  • Q: Can I operate the machine in the rain?

A: The machine in rain or shortly after rain can be operated but care should be observed due to wet surfaces.

  • Q: How frequently should I check the air cleaner?

A: Air cleaners are to be checked after 8 hours at the maximum still it is recommended to clean it out every day and ensure that the area being used has not the machine did not function in the long while.

  • Q: What do I do if the engine does not turn on?
