Your diNovo Edge keyboard
The Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard excels at delivering performance, comfort, easy of use, and style, and is an excellent match for your Macintosh computer.
Stylishly slim and sleek, the diNovo Edge keyboard simplies and extends your access to the digital universe with a number of innovative features.
The PerfectStroke™ key system has a micro­scissor mechanism that distributes force evenly across key surfaces. Forgiving of mis-strokes, PerfectStroke improves your accuracy while providing a consistent typing experience.
The longer key travel of diNovo Edge keyboard—
3.2 millimeters—gives you a better feel and makes the keyboard more responsive and comfortable.
Concave keycaps add to the experience, helping make every keystroke natural and uid.
An elegant charging station doubles as a stand and keeps your desk clutter-free. Only four hours of charging provides up to one month of battery life.
The innovative TouchDisc™ integrates hyper-fast scrolling, selection, and cursor control, making control and navigation intuitive and convenient.
Extended function keys streamline your Macintosh computer experience with one-touch access to Mai™, iTunes® and more.
Use your diNovo Edge keyboard with Front Row® to enjoy movies and music, and to share photos from anywhere in the room. Bluetooth® wireless technology delivers seamless operation from up to 30 feet (9 meters) under most conditions.

Installation
Connect power
Plug the AC cable into the power port on 1 the back of the diNovo Edge keyboard dock/charging station.
Plug the AC adapter into a wall socket. 2
Charge the keyboard (optional)
Insert the lower edge of the keyboard into the dock/charging station, lining up the Logitech logo on the keyboard with the logo on the charging station.
A full charge takes about four hours and provides up to one month of normal use. A 10-minute charge provides about a day of use.

Slide down the power switch on the right edge of the keyboard.
The keyboard is on when the orange power indicator is visible next to power icon.

Installation
Set up a Bluetooth connection
Choose 1 Apple () menu > System Preferences, and then click the Bluetooth option.
The Bluetooth preference pane appears.
Click the (Set Up New Device) button.2
The Bluetooth Setup Assistant starts.
From the list of Bluetooth devices, select 3 Keyboard, and then click Continue.
The Setup Assistant displays a list of Bluetooth keyboards within range of the console.

Select 4 Logitech diNovo Edge.
Note: If the diNovo Edge keyboard does not appear in the list of Bluetooth keyboards, turn the keyboard off and then back on to restart the pairing.
The Setup Assistant displays a randomly generated passkey.
Using your diNovo Edge keyboard, enter the 5 provided passkey and press Return to pair the keyboard with your computer.
A message appears conrming that your computer is set up to use the Bluetooth keyboard, followed by a list of connected devices.
When the diNovo Edge keyboard appears in the device list, you can start using the keyboard with your Macintosh computer.

Installation
Install the Logitech Control Center software
Use the Logitech Control Center software to get the most out of your new Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard.
This convenient software gives you access to useful shortcuts that increase your productivity, comfort, and enjoyment.
Insert the provided CD-ROM and run the Logitech Control Center Installer.
The Installer guides you through setup and installation. During installation you’ll be prompted to select the regional layout for your keyboard.
When installation is complete, you’ll be prompted to restart your computer.
Check for updates to the Logitech Control Center software at
www.logitech.com/downloads/.

Using the Logitech Control Center software
Use the Logitech Control Center software to adjust tracking speed and reassign function keys.
Start the Logitech Control Center software
Choose 1 Apple () menu > System Preferences, and then click Logitech Control Center.
The Logitech Control Center preference pane appears, showing the Logitech devices connected to your Macintosh computer.
Select the keyboard by clicking its image, and then 2 click Congure.
Select general settings
Click the General button, and then click checkboxes to set your preferences for general function key behavior.

Using diNovo the Edge keyboard
Using the TouchDisc
The diNovo Edge keyboard TouchDisc is a revolutionary, easy-to-use controller that combines the features of a touch pad and a scroll wheel.
Move the cursor by sliding your nger across the TouchDisc.
To scroll vertically, touch the white dot on the right side of the TouchDisc and rotate clockwise (to scroll down) or counterclockwise (to scroll up) around the perimeter.
To scroll horizontally, touch the white dot on the top of the TouchDisc and rotate clockwise (to scroll right) or counterclockwise (to scroll left) around the perimeter.

Front Row and the diNovo Edge keyboard
The perfect companion to Front Row, Apple’s intuitive full-screen media manager, the diNovo Edge keyboard enhances the remote control features provided by the Apple® Remote.
Launch Front Row
Press the Front Row button on the diNovo Edge keyboard to start the media manager.
Browsing media listings in Front Row
Use the arrow keys to navigate media listings, and press the Return key to open the selected item.
While Front Row is running, press the ESC button to return to the previous menu.

Using the diNovo Edge keyboard
Playback
The media hot keys on your keyboard correspond to the controls on your Apple Remote. Use them to play, pause, skip forward or backward, fast-forward, or rewind.
Volume controls
During playback, the volume slider on the diNovo Edge keyboard duplicates the functions of the + and – buttons on the Apple Remote, adding more uid control and visual feedback.

Charging the keyboard
Use the provided dock/charging station to keep your diNovo Edge keyboard fully charged and ready. Only fours hours of charging gives you up to one month of battery life. A 10-minute
charge provides about a day of use.
Cleaning your diNovo Edge keyboard
Your diNovo Edge keyboard is a high-quality device that will provide you many years of service if properly maintained.
Clean the keyboard regularly with the provided soft cloth. (Do not use soap or any other type of cleaning product.) Turn the keyboard off before wiping it down with the cloth.

Disabling the TouchDisc and volume slider
Disable the TouchDisc and volume slider by pressing fn + Left-Click (the Left Click button below the TouchDisc). Press fn + Right-Click to re-enable the TouchDisc and slider.
Disabling the Caps Lock Notication Beep
Disable the Caps Lock Notication Beep by pressing fn + Caps Lock. Press the key combination again to re-enable the beep.
Tips and troubleshooting
If a problem should occur, you can usually solve it quickly in one of the following ways:
When the keyboard makes a connection, the battery indicator light is solid green for ve seconds (page 6). If it blinks red, the battery is low; recharge the keyboard (page 7).
Make sure the power switch is in the On position (page 8).
Restart the diNovo Edge keyboard by turning the power switch off and back on (page 8).
Make sure the keyboard is within Bluetooth ® range, 30 feet (9 meters).
Reconnect your diNovo Edge keyboard to your Macintosh computer with the Bluetooth Setup Assistant (page 9).
Restart your computer.

Battery warning. Your product uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Use this battery and no other. Exercise care when handling the battery. Do not open or mutilate it. When a battery is misused, it may leak or explode, causing burns and personal injury. Conducting materials can also short out a battery, causing it to overheat and leak. Do not put the battery in a re, expose it to heat above 130°F (54°C), or immerse it in water. If the battery leaks or it will not recharge, use caution and discard the battery immediately according to your local laws. Battery charge may vary depending on usage.

Logitech hardware product limited warranty
Logitech warrants that your Logitech hardware product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for three (3) years, beginning from the date of purchase. Except where prohibited by applicable law, this warranty is nontransferable and is limited to the original purchaser. This warranty gives you specic legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary under local laws.
Remedies
Logitech’s entire liability and your exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty shall be, at Logitech’s option, (1) to repair or replace the hardware, or (2) to refund the price paid, provided that the hardware is returned to the point of purchase or such other place as Logitech may direct with a copy of the sales receipt or dated itemized receipt. Shipping and handling charges may apply except where prohibited by applicable law. Logitech may, at its option, use new or refurbished or used parts in good working condition to repair or replace any hardware product. Any replacement hardware product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer, or for any additional period of time that may be applicable in your jurisdiction.
This warranty does not cover problems or damage resulting from (1) accident, abuse, misapplication, or any unauthorized repair, modication or disassembly; (2) improper operation or maintenance, usage not in accordance with product instructions or connection to improper voltage supply; or (3) use of consumables, such as replacement batteries, not supplied by Logitech except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
