OPERATION
RESET SWITCH/BUTTON
The reset switch/button is located on the front of the operator and serves several functions.
MODEL RSL12V SLIDE GATE OPERATOR
Model RSL12V has a reset switch. When referring to
“toggling” the reset switch it means pressing the reset
switch to the RESET/DISCONNECT position, then back
to the NORMAL OPERATION position.
To open and close the gate(s) manually, press the
reset switch to the RESET/DISCONNECT position. On a
dual gate application the reset switch must be pressed
on both operators. To resume normal function press
the reset switch to NORMAL OPERATION.
MODEL RSW12V SWING GATE OPERATOR
Model RSW12V has a reset button.
To open and close the gate(s) manually, press the
reset button. On a dual gate application the reset
button must be pressed on both operators. The next
command given by a remote control will close the
gate and return the operator to normal operation.

OPERATION
OPERATOR ALARM
If a contact sensor detects an obstruction twice consecutively the alarm will sound
(up to 5 minutes) and the operator will need to be reset.
When the inherent force of the operator (RPM/current
sensor) detects the following (twice consecutively) the
alarm will sound (up to 5 minutes) and the operator
will need to be reset:
Debris is on the gate's track
such as mud, rocks, dirt, etc.

Gate hinges are too tight or
broken and the gate is not
moving freely. (Swing Only)
The gate has one or more
broken axles or wheels.
(Slide Only)
A foreign object is on the gate
frame while the gate is moving.
(Swing Only)
The gate is hitting a wall or
vehicle.
The gate wheel is off the gate
rail. (Slide Only)
The gate is moving and a car
pushes the gate.
(Swing Only)
The gate does not meet
specifications.
The operator arm or gate is
incorrectly installed.
(Swing Only)
The gate hits the driveway, curb
or other, and gets stuck or bent
in an awkward position.
(Swing Only)
Remove any obstructions. Toggle/press the reset switch/button to shut off the alarm and reset the operator. After
the operator is reset, normal functions will resume.
NOTE: In dual gate applications the reset switch/button must be toggled/pressed on the primary operator.
REMOTE CONTROL
Once the remote control has been programmed operator will operate as follows:
When gate is in the closed position, activation of the remote control button will open the gate. During the open cycle
another activation of the remote control will stop the gate and the next activation of the remote control will close
the gate. When the gate is in the open position, activation of the remote control button will close the gate.
SLEEP MODE
The operator enters sleep mode 10 seconds after the last command is given. The photoelectric sensor indicator LEDs
will not be on. The next command given will return the operator to normal operation.
