Introduction
The LG Bluetooth®Headset HBM-800 is a lightweight wireless Headset utilizing Bluetooth®technology. This product can be used as an audio accessory for devices supporting either the Headset or Handsfree Bluetooth®Profiles. If the Headset is attached to the Cradle, it can be used as a Hands Free Kit.

Pairing
Power off
- Attach the Headset to the Cradle. The headset will always charge when attached to the cradle, even if
both the headset and cradle are powered off.
If the cradle battery is empty, the headset will not charge (the LED
indicator on the headset will not turn on, while in the cradle).
- The LED indicator will show a solid red light.
- It takes 2 hours to fully charge the Headset.
- When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn off.
- The headset can also be charged using the Small Charging Cradle. First, connect the charger to the charging port on the Small Charging Cradle, then attach the HBM-800 headset.
- Prior to using the Headset for the first time, you must pair it with a Bluetooth-enabled handset.
- There are 2 Pairing Mode Methods with the HBM-800.
1) Easy Pairing
With the Power off, press and hold the PWR button for 3 seconds,
to turn on the HBM-800.
The Headset will enter Auto-Reconnect mode, for 10 seconds (If your
Headset has been previously paired to the handset, the Headset will
automatically reconnect to the handset, when the HBM-800 is powered on.)

- A low battery tone will play once every 30 seconds. Recharge the battery when the low battery beep is heard.
- If the battery is not charged, the Headset will turn off.

- Press and Hold the PWR button for 3 seconds.
The power will turn on and a booting tone will play.
- Press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds. A shutdown tone will play, the Bluetooth link will disconnect,
and the power will turn off.

How to use Headset
- Before using the HBM-800 headset, you will need to remove the
protective film which is covering the contacts on the headset.

Volume control
After 10 seconds, the HBM-800 will automatically enter Paring Mode.When the headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show
a solid blue light.
Using your handset, find the Bluetooth Menu and “search for” or
“add” new devices.
Select “LG HBM-800” from the list of devices and pair it with your handset.
When asked for the Pass/PIN code during the pairing procedure,
please enter “0000” (4 Zeros).
Once pairing has completed successfully, you will hear a beep.
After pairing successfully, be sure to “Connect” to the LG HBM-800.If you want to pair with a different device in the future, the Headset
must be placed in Pairing Mode.
If the headset is in Pairing mode for three minutes without being
connected to a handset, the HBM-800 will automatically turn off.
2) Manual Pairing
With the Power off, press and hold the PWR button for 5 seconds.When the Headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show
a solid blue light.
Using your handset, find the Bluetooth Menu and “search for” or
“add” new devices.
Select “LG HBM-800” from the list of devices and pair it with your Handset.
When asked for the Pass/Pin code during the pairing procedure,
please enter “0000” (4 Zeros)
Once pairing has completed successfully, you will hear a beep.After pairing successfully, be sure to “Connect” to the LG HBM-800.If you want to pair with a different device in the future, the Headset
must be placed in Pairing Mode.

connected to a Handset, the HBM-800 will automatically turn off.
Calling
Answering a call
- When there is an incoming call, the Headset will ring.
- Briefly press the CALL button to answer an incoming call.
Making a call
- If you make a call from the handset, the call will (subject to handset settings) automatically transfer to the Headset. If the call is not automatically transferred, you can manually transfer the call by briefly pressing the CALL button on the HBM-800 (handset and headset must be paired).
Voice dialing*
- Briefly press the CALL button to activate “Voice Command”. You will get the best results if you record the voice dialing tag through your Headset. NOTE: If the handset does not support Voice Dialing, it is possible
that performing this action will activate Last Number redial.
Last number redial*
- Press and hold the CALL button for 1second to activate “Last Number Redial”. The Headset will beep, and call the last number dialed.
Ending a call
- Briefly press the CALL button.
Transferring a call*
- While on a call on your handset, briefly press the CALL button to transfer the audio to the Headset.(Headset and handset must be paired).
- And to transfer a call from the Headset to handset, press and hold VOLUME UP button on the HBM-800 headset for 5 seconds.
How to use Headset
- Press the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN button to adjust the speaker volume.
- You will hear an alert beep tone when the volume is at the maximum or minimum level.
Auto Reconnect
- When the HBM-800 turns off (accidentally or intentionally) while connected to a handset, the headset and handset will disconnect. The Headset and handset will automatically reconnect when the HBM­800 is turned back on.(as long as both devices are within the required range of 33ft. or 10m)
[ Out of range ]
- When the HBM-800 and your handset are separated by a distance of 33 feet (10 meters) or more, the Headset and handset will disconnect.
When the handset and HBM-800 are brought back within the required distance, the HBM-800 will automatically reconnect with the handset.
- If the Headset and handset do not automatically reconnect when they are back within the required range, briefly press the CALL button on the HBM-800 to reconnect manually.

How to use Headset
Call waiting*
- Answer a second call without hanging up the first call by pressing the CALL button for 1second. Press the CALL button for 1second to return to the original call.
- Briefly press the CALL button to terminate the active call or both calls at once. (subject to handset's support)
Call Reject*
- Activate Call Reject by pressing the CALL button for 1second when the headset rings.
* It is possible to use these functions only when your handset supports
them. For further information about using these features, please consult your handset's user manual.

Multipoint
The LG HBM-800 is capable of having two handsets connected to the Headset at the same time. This will give you the freedom of having only one Headset to operate both of your handsets.
Multipoint Connect
- Pair the Headset with one of your Bluetooth-enabled handsets. (Refer to the pairing instructions on pages 5-6).
- Turn off the Headset.
- With the power off, press and hold the PWR button on the HBM-800 for 5 seconds to enter Manual Pairing mode.
- Now, pair and connect the Headset with your other Bluetooth-enabled handset. (This will be your Primary handset).
- Once this handset is paired and connected, go back and connect the first paired handset to Headset. (This process should be done through your handset's Bluetooth menu)
* Note: When the HBM-800 is connected to two handsets at the same
time (Multipoint), the Headset calling functions will work with the most recently used handset.
Calling Functions
- Voice Dial and Last Number Redial features work with the Primary handset. (most recently used handset).
- The first connected device is set as primary handset and the next connected device is set as secondary handset.
- The device which made the last outgoing call will always be set as the primary handset.

- Remove the cover on the charging port and connect the charger.
- The LED indicator will show a solid red light.
- It takes 2 hours to fully charge the Cradle.
- When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn off.
Volume control
- Press and hold the MFB for 3 seconds.
- Press and Hold the MFB for 3 seconds. The power will turn on and a booting tone will play.
- Press the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN button to adjust the speaker volume.
- There are eight levels of speaker volume.
- You will hear an alert tone when the volume is at the maximum or minimum level.
How to use Headset
- To answer an incoming call on your secondary handset, while on a call on your primary handset, hang-up the active-call (briefly press the CALL button) and then answer the incoming-call (briefly press the CALL button again).

Using HBM-800 as a Hands Free Kit
Calling
- Please use the MFB to activate all calling functions, when using the HBM-800 as a hands free kit. The MFB acts the same as the CALL button on the headset.
- All calling functions are the same as the headset calling functions.
- When the headset is attached to the cradle, the headset CALL button is deactivated, and will not work.
- Call Transfer is NOT supported when using the cradle as a hands free kit
- Once the headset is attached to the cradle, all audio will be played through the cradle.
Microphone Mute/Unmute
- While on a call. press and hold Volume Down button for 5 seconds to mute/unmute the MIC
- To use the HBM-800 as a Hands Free Kit,
1) Power on the Cradle
2) Attach the headset to the Cradle.
