Please follow the below mentioned instructions when Fxxx error codes occur not mentioned in the

Service manual. Do this in case the System does not recover after turning the Main switch OFF and ON, or if the error codes occur frequently. See page 2 and afterwards for further details.

1.This type of Error code may occur due to a Hardware issue.

•Check the following initially.

Check the DDR2 memory and nearby parts. Check the contact of YS1 or YS2 with the memory. Replace the memory if the error codes occur repeatedly.

2.Check the HDD if the error repeats after replacing the Main board.

•Format the HDD and replace it if the error code reoccurs.

Caution

PLEASE NOTE THAT DATA WILL BE DELETED WHEN FORMATTING THE HDD.

Maintenance mode U021 [Memory initializing]

Backup RAM is initialized according specification of the destination as specified in Maintenance mode U252 [Setting the destination]. After executing the mode, the memory is initialized and set values have to be input again afterwards.

Maintenance mode U024 [HDD formatting (FULL)]

The following are initialized after initializing the HDD.

•System menu (user management, accounting system, address book, one touch key, document box, etc.), shortcut key and panel program

•The following firmware that was installed is deleted after fully formatting the HDD.

Option language, PDF1.7 resource, FMU, weekly timer, color table, software downloaded in the field

Before executing the mode, export the backup data with Maintenance mode U917. Please note that applications will be deleted when executing the Maintenance mode U024.

•After executing the mode, reinstall the applications. Import the backup data with the Maintenance

mode U917. Input the set values again which have been changed after setting up the machine and afterwards.

Maintenance mode U671 [Clear FAX back up data (FAX DIMM clear)]

• Before executing the mode, output the received data since it will be cleared.
