Playing video games can make your muscles, joints, skin or eyes hurt. Follow these instructions to
avoid problems such as tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, skin irritation or eyestrain:
• Avoid excessive play. Parents should monitor their children for appropriate play.
• Take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour, even if you don't think you need it.
• If your hands, wrists, arms or eyes become tired or sore while playing or if you feel symptoms such
as tingling, numbness, burning or stiffness, stop and rest for several hours before playing again.
• If you continue to have any of the above symptoms or other discomfort during or after
play, stop playing and see a doctor.

Please use the wrist strap to help prevent injury to other people or damage to

• Dry your hands if they become moist.
• Allow adequate room around you during game play and make sure that all

• Stay at least three feet from the television.
• Use the Wii Remote Jacket.
SYSTEM MENU UPDATE
Please note that when first loading the Game Disc into the Wii
console, the Wii will check if you have the latest system menu,
and if necessary a Wii system update screen will appear. Press
OK to proceed.

Setting up the Wii Balance Board
CAUTION: PLEASE READ BEFORE PLAYING
Placing the Wii Balance Board properly
1. Place the Wii Balance Board directly in front of the TV with the Power Button
(blue light) facing away from the TV.
2. Make sure that the Wii Remote can be used within 3 to 10 feet of the sensor
bar when standing on the Wii Balance Board.
3. Ensure there is adequate space between the player and any objects or people
(at least 3 feet).
4. Make sure the board is on a stable, flat, horizontal surface. Avoid slippery
surfaces.
5. Verify that the balance sensors are in direct contact with the oor. If carpet or
other material comes in contact with the bottom of the board, install the foot
extensions.
Synchronizing the Wii Balance Board with the Wii Console
Important! Please read the following to ensure a
correct sync:
* Sy nch ing c an be c omp let ed on ly if a
compati ble game disc is runnin g in the
console. Compatible game discs (such as
Wii Fit) will display the Wii Balance Board
icon on their packaging.
* The Wii Balance Board must be synced to
each compatible game individually.
* These sync settings will be saved even after
the console is turned o.
Follow these directions to sync the Wii Balance
Board (so that it is recognized by the Wii console):
1. Insert a Wii Balance Board com pati ble
ga me dis c (su ch as Wii Fit ) in the Wi i
console.
2. Use the Wii Remote to sel ect the Dis c
Channel from the Wii Menu, then select
“Start” to begin the game.
3. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front
of the Wii console.
4. Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom
of the Wii Balance Board.
5. Press and release the SYNC button on the
Wii Balance Board. The Power LED on the
board will start blinking.
6. Press and release the SYNC button on the
console while the Power LED on the board
is still blinking.
7. The Po wer LED will stop b link ing and
light steadily once the synchronization is
complete.
Using the DanceDanceRevolution® Controller
CAUTION: PLEASE READ BEFORE PLAYING
• Please read the manual included with the DanceDanceRevolution®
Controller in addition to this manual before use.
• The DanceDanceRevolution® Controller should be used with care to
avoid injury. Konami will not be liable from injuries resulting from
improper use of the DanceDanceRevolution® Controller.
• Bare feet should be used to operate the DanceDanceRevolution®
Controller. Do not use with shoes or stocking feet.
• Persons with heart and respiratory problems, physical impairments
(such as, but not limited to, back, joint, foot, musculature, and
circulatory problems) that limit physical activity, are pregnant, or have
been advised by their physician to limit their physical activity should
not use the DanceDanceRevolution® Controller.
• Persons under the inuence of alcohol, or drugs that could impair a
person’s sense of balance, should not use the DanceDanceRevolution®
Controller.
• The DanceDanceRevolution® Controller should be used on a clean,
at surface. Do not use the DanceDanceRevolution® Controller on
concrete, rock or any surface with sharp or abrasive objects.
• Remove furniture or other objects in proximity to the
DanceDanceRevolution® Controller, and use it in an area with plenty of
space, away from walls or windows.
• Keep the DanceDanceRevolution® Controller away from open ame and
other heat sources.
• Do not use the DanceDanceRevolution® Controller on a wet surface.
• Small children should be monitored at all times when using the
DanceDanceRevolution® Controller.
• The cord for the DanceDanceRevolution® Controller should be placed
properly to avoid risk of tripping persons.
• lf two DanceDanceRevolution® Controllers are being used, make sure
the DanceDanceRevolution® Controllers are far enough apart to avoid
injury to players.
• When the DanceDanceRevolution® Controller is not in use, it should be
removed from the playing area and stored properly.
• The DanceDanceRevolution® Controller is a delicate piece of
machinery. Do not dismantle, modify, or intentionally abuse the
DanceDanceRevolution® Controller. Such actions can void your
warranty.
• Audio and video disruptions may occur during gameplay due to oor
vibrations. Adjust the location of the DanceDanceRevolution® Controller to
correct this problem.
• Please do not play the game at times when the noise or vibrations may
disturb your neighbors.
GETTING STARTED
Setting Up Your Wii™ Console
1. Set up your Wii™ console according to the instructions in its Instruction Manual.
2. Press the Power Button and the power LED will light up.
3. Place the DanceDanceRevolution® HOTTEST PARTY™ 3 disc in the Disc slot with the label
side facing up.
4. Follow on-screen instructions and refer to this manual for more information about playing
DanceDanceRevolution® HOTTEST PARTY™ 3.
• Insert only Wii-compatible discs into the disc slot.
• Never use oddly shaped discs, such as star-shaped or heart-shaped discs.
• Do not apply labels, stickers, or other foreign objects to discs.
Saving Data
When a save date is created, edited data automatically saves to your Wii™ console.

1. Turn on the Wii Remote™. For multiple players, turn on additional controllers.
2. Insert any peripherals (for example, the DanceDanceRevolution Controller® and Nunchuk™) as
appropriate.

Compete in a DanceDanceRevolution® Tournament to prove that you are the best of the best!
Complete various challenges to make your way to the tournament and then face off against
computer opponents.
FREE PLAY MODE
Play any song you want and aim for a high score! Choose the number of players and then pick your
character and style.
TRAINING MODE
With this mode you can either practice your moves using assist features or focus on learning
specic parts of a song. You can also view some of the dances you have unlocked from different
angles!
RELAXED MODE
Play any song you want without the pressure! All of your favorite DDR songs at a special lower
difculty so you can just relax and have fun! There’s no need to pick characters or style.
DDR SCHOOL
Are you a rst time player? This mode offers a variety of lessons that will make any newcomer into
a DDR master! Learn the basic steps, master the gimmicks, or try out the Wii Remote™ mechanics!
HYPERMOVE MODE
Test your skills in HYPERMOVE MODE. Try to keep your feet on the beat while incorporating the Wii
Remote™ and Nunchuk™ mechanics into your moves! This mode is great for adding a challenging
new dimension to the game.
Wii Balance Board™ MODE
Try out DDR on the Wii Balance Board™! Move your hips and shake your butt in the correct
direction. Aim for a high score! Sync the Wii Balance Board™ or press the Power Button on the Wii
Balance Board™ to sync it to the Wii™. Please consult the Wii Balance Board™ Operations Manual
if you need help synchronizing.
WORKOUT MODE
Choose a style of play and then set up a prole to keep track of all the calories you burn while
playing! Set a goal of calories or play time and then work that weight off!
OPTIONS
Customize your game the way you want to play it! You can modify various Gameplay, Graphic, and
Individual options or add your Mii™ as a backup dancer! You can also unlock hidden costume
elements and songs in DanceDanceRevolution® HOTTEST PARTY™ 2 with your saved data.
RECORDS
You can view you records for the various modes by selecting this option from the Main
Menu. The records of Normal records, HYPERMOVE MODE, Wii Balance Board™ MODE,
and RELAXED MODE will all be displayed here for you to peruse. Try and beat your best
