Safety instructions
Danger of electrocution!
• Connect the Fan Heater only to a correctly installed and earthed power socket with a mains voltage of 230 V at ~50 Hz.
• Do not fold or squeeze the power cable.
• To disconnect, always pull the plug itself out of the power socket, do not pull the power cable.
• Never touch the Fan Heater, the power cable and the plug with wet hands.
• Do not use extension cables.
• Do not wrap the power cable around the housing of the Fan Heater. Use the hooks intended for this purpose.
• Separate the Fan Heater from the po­wer source immediately after use. It is completely free of electricity only after you have removed the plug from the socket.
• Under no circumstances may the Fan Heater be submerged in fluids, or flu­ids be permitted to enter the applian­ce housing. Do not expose the appli­ance to humidity and do not use it outdoors. There is the danger of elec­trocution. Should fluids nonetheless gain access into the appliance hou­sing, immediately remove the plug from the wall socket and arrange for the appliance to be repaired by quali­fied specialists.
• Under no circumstances may the Fan Heater be used in the vicinity of wa­ter, for example in a bath, shower, washbasin or in humid cellar rooms. The proximity of moisture presents a danger, even when the appliance is switched off.
• Remove the plug from the power socket in the event of functional irregularity and before cleaning the appliance.
• Arrange for damaged or defective power cables, power plugs and appli­ances to be repaired or exchanged by Customer Services before re-use.
• Should the appliance have sustained a fall or be otherwise damaged, it may no longer be taken into use. Arrange for the appliance to be checked and possibly repaired by qualified techni­cians.
• You are not permitted to open or repair the housing of the Fan Heater. Should you do so, the safety of the device may be compromised and the warranty is voided. Only permit the Fan Heater to be serviced and repai­red by authorised specialists.
• Never place the Fan Heater close to sources of heat and protect the power cable against potential damage.
• Do not place water-filled receptacles, e.g. flower vases, on the appliance.
Fire hazard!
• Never place the Fan Heater in the vicinity of inflammable material, flu­ids or gases or immediately below an electrical wall socket. Ensure at least one meter of space to all sides and above the appliance.

• Maintain sufficient distance from the Fan Heater to ensure that hair and clothing item cannot be sucked into it.
• Never leave a switched-on Fan Heater unsupervised.
• Never permit children to use the appliance without supervision from an adult. Explain to children the potential dangers of the device.
• Always place the Fan Heater on a level surface. Otherwise, it could tip over and cause a fire.
• Ensure that the Fan Heater can turn without hindrance in both directions when the oscillation function is swit­ched on.
• Never place the Fan Heater close to sources of heat and protect the power cable against potential damage.
• Do not place open fire sources, e.g. candles, on the appliance.
Do not cover the appliance
when it is in operation!
• Clean the appliance at regular intervals.

• Never insert objects or body extremi­ties, e.g. fingers, into the interior of the appliance through the grating.

Correct use
The Fan Heater serves the purpose of heating and ventilating living areas. This Fan Heater is intended exclusively for use in private households and may only be used for this purpose. To this be­longs also the observance of all of the information in these operating instruc­tions, especially the safety instructions. All other uses are deemed to be impro­per and may result in property damage or even in personal injury. Kompernaß GmbH accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use of the appliance.

Before the first use
• Take the Fan Heater from the transport packaging.
• Remove all packaging material.
Plastic bags can be dangerous.
To avoid the chance of suffocations, ensure that they do not come into the possession of children.
• Check the items to see that they are all present, complete and without any damage.
• Place the Fan Heater on a level surface.
• Insert the plug into a wall socket.
The Fan Heater is now ready for service.
Safety
Tilt cut-out
This Fan Heater is fitted with a safety switch . Should the Fan Heater tip over, it switches itself off automatically. The Fan Heater first switches itself on again when it is in an upright position.
Overheating protection
The Fan Heater is fitted with overhea­ting protection. In the event of over­heating, it switches itself off. Should this happen, check to see if the protecti­ve grating is covered or blocked. Switch the Fan Heater to the position „0“. Wait until it has cooled down before swit­ching it back on.
Operation
To use the ventilator function:
• Place the function switch into the position Fan .
• Place the thermostat regulator on HI.
To use the heating function:
• Place the function switch to the desired heating level, 1 or 2.

The Fan Heater is fitted with switching levels:
Oscillation function
The Fan Heater is fitted with an automatic oscillation function.
• Place the switch for the oscillation function into position „I“.
The Fan Heater slowly swings itself alter­natively in both sideward directions.
• When you wish to finish the oscilla­tion function, place the switch for the oscillation function into position „O“.
Switching off
1. When you wish to switch off the Fan Heater, place the function switch in the position „0“.

• After every use remove the plug from the wall socket.
Room temperature setting
• Place the function switch on the desired heating level, 1 or 2.
• Turn the thermostat regulator to HI.
• As soon as the desired room tempera­ture has been reached, turn the ther­mostat regulator slowly back, until a light resistance is felt and a click is heard.
The Fan Heater now switches itself on automatically as soon as the temperatu­re falls below the programmed level.
When the temperature in the room
falls below the programmed level, the Fan Heater switches itself on automatically. The Fan Heater swit­ches itself off automatically as soon as the programmed temperature has once again been reached.
Transportation / Storage
Danger of Burns!
Only carry the Fan Heater with the carry­ing handle provided for the purpose .
Attention
Pack the Fan Heater away when it has first cooled down. Otherwise, you could burn yourself and damage other items.
• Should you wish to store the applian­ce for an extended period or send it through the post, use the original packaging.

Cleaning
Danger of electrocution
Always remove the plug from the wall socket before cleaning the Fan Heater. Never immerse the Fan Heater in water.
Fire hazard!
Allow the Fan Heater to cool down before cleaning it. Under no circumstan­ces should you use household detergents or inflammable liquids or materials to remove soiling.
• Use a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild soap solution to clean the housing.
Danger of electrocution
The Fan Heater must be completely dry before using it again after cleaning.
Fire hazard!
Clean the air suction grating at regular intervals with a soft brush. When doing this have the rear side of the appliance facing downwards to prevent loosened dirt from falling into the inside of the housing.
Disposal
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regula­tions. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Possible causes and solutions
The Fan Heater does not switch itself on.
The room temperature is higher than the temperature programmed into the thermostat controller. Select a higher setting at the thermostat controller. A domestic electrical fuse is defective. Check the house­hold fuses and, if necessary, replace them. The power socket is defective. Try another wall socket. The Fan Heater is possibly defective. Arrange for the Fan Heater to be checked by specialists.
It is not possible to switch the Fan Heater off.
An electronic component is defective. Remove the plug from the wall socket and arrange for the Fan Heater to be checked over by specialists.
The Fan Heater switches itself off.
The temperature programmed into the thermostat has been reached. The Fan Heater switches itself back on when the temperature falls below this level. Or: Programme in a higher temperature. The safety cut-off switch has been triggered because the Fan Heater has tipped over. Place the Fan Heater back into an upright position. The overheating protection has triggered. Switch the Fan Heater off, allow it to cool and clean the air suction grating.
