· Installer: This manual is the property of the customer and must be retained with the product for maintenance and operational purposes.

Cabinets are very heavy. Get help lifting and moving the cabinets.

NOTE

Turn off the water supply. The plumbing installation must comply with all local water supply and building regulations. Before installation carefully inspect the new fixture for any signs of damage. Ensure all required electrical work has been completed before installing the furniture. All information in these instructions is based upon the latest product information available at the time of publication. Kohler China reserves the right to make changes in product characteristics, packaging, or availability at any time without notice. These instructions contain import care, cleaning, and warranty information please leave these instructions for the consumer.

Escale bathroom cabinet includes a series of washbasin cabinet with visible surfaces of oak grain. The series adopt E1 grade wood-based panel of high quality, and with further processing, its harmful emissions will be less than 1.5mg/L. Washbasin cabinets with single door and double doors are available.

SAFETY: WARNINGS

Kohler products are precision-engineered and should give continued superior and safe performance, provided:

1. They are installed, commissioned, operated and

maintained in accordance with the recommendations given in this Manual.

2. Periodic attention is given, as necessary, to maintain the

product in good functional order. Recommended guidelines are given in the section.

SPECIFICATION

Plumbing Connections

Hot (H) and Cold inlets must be connected to the correct inlet pipes.

Install the Plumbing

Install the drain in accordance with the manufacturer,s instructions.

Make sure a watertight seal exists on all

basin drain connections.

Provide access to the plumbing connections

for future plumbing maintenance.

The hot and cold water supplies must be installed with

isolating valves.

Install the Vanity Top Cabinet

1. Decide on the location of the cabinet, and mark the

dimensions of the wall hanging brackets to the dimensions given.

Make sure that you avoid hidden cables and

pipes when you drill holes in the wall.

For the vanity top cabinet, make sure that you mark the positions on the wall for the attachment bolts. (Refer to countertop installation instructions for further information).

2. For installations, you must use suitable attachment bolts and wall plugs to secure the unit to the wall. Tighten bolts using an hexagonal wrench.

3. Using a suitable drill, drill the holes for the wall hanging

brackets. Secure the brackets to the wall with the appropriate wall plugs and Screws.

4. Carefully unscrew the doors from the cabinet, and lift the

doors off the hinges. Place the doors carefully to one side.

5. Fit the cabinet/basin unit in position on the wall, lifting it

over the wall hanging brackets.

12. Fit the shelf supports in position in the pre-drilled holes.

14. Refit the cabinet/basin unit doors onto the hinges, and

tighten the screws. Ensure the doors are level, and adjust the screws in the hinges Accordingly.

6. Level the cabinet by adjusting the adjustment screws. The

top screw will adjust the cabinet vertically, and the bottom screw will adjust it horizontally.

7. Ensure the vanity top is seated in the correct position and

is secure.

8. Use a spirit level to ensure the cabinet is level.

9. Place the basin in the desired position on the cabinet/basin

unit.

Install the Undermounted Unit

1. Decide on the location of the unit, and mark the

dimensions of the wall hanging brackets to the dimensions given.

2. Use a spirit level to ensure the wall hanging brackets are

level.

4. Using a suitable drill, drill the holes for the wall hanging

brackets. Secure the brackets to the wall with the appropriate wall plugs and screws.

5. Carefully unscrew the doors from the undermounted unit,

and lift the doors from the hinges. Place the doors carefully to one side.

6. Screw the attachment brackets into the required locations

in the undermounted unit. These brackets fit over the wall hanging brackets to hold the unit in position.

7. Lift the undermounted unit into position on the wall, making

sure the attachment brackets fit into the wall hanging brackets.

8. Secure the attachment brackets with the screws, and

adjust the screws accordingly until the unit is level. Use a level to ensure the unit is level.

9. Install the back panel onto the undermounted unit, and

secure in postion with the screws. Adjust the screws to make sure that the back panel is upright.

10. Apply a bead of silicone sealant aound the opening in the

top of the undermounted unit.

11. Place the washbasin into the opening, and press down

firmly into position.

12. Carefully remove any excess silicone sealant.

13. Refit the undermounted unit doors on the door hinges,

and ensure the doors are fitted scurely and are level.

Finish the Installation

1. Fit the handles to vanity top cabinet, vanity basin unit,

undermounted unit and pedestal unit.

2. Place the handle on the front of the unit, and secure in

place using two screws.

3. Fit the tap to the basin in accordance with the

manufacturer,s instructions.

4. Connect the hot and cold water supplies.

5. Attach the waste, and tighten securely.

6. Open the hot and cold water valves, and check the supply

connections for leaks.

7. Run water into the basin, and check the drain connections

for leaks.

Cleaning

Caution! Risk of product damage. Many cleaners

contain abrasive and chemical substances, and should not be used for cleaning stainless steel, enamel, plated or plastic fittings. These finishes should be cleaned using a mild washing up detergent or soap solution, rinsed and then wiped dry with a soft clean cloth.

5. The cabinet door and interior are constructed of mirror and

aluminum. Use only a damp cloth to clean. Spray the cloth, not the mirror when cleaning. Mirrors are damaged by the use of ammonia or vinegar based cleaners. Rubbing alcohol can be used for stubborn stains.

6. Use no abrasive cleansers on any part of the cabinet.

7. The white frame should be cleaned with a damp cloth only.

8. If any fixtures caused by abnormal reasons, Kohler China

can supply paid replacement for service parts caused by abnormal reasons as shown in the next page in the limited duration of warranty.

Many cleansers contain abrasive and chemical substance which is not suitable for cleaning stainless steel, enamel, plating or plastic products. You may use mild cleansers or soaps to clean the surfaces. Wipe any splashes of cleaner solutions from the surface with clean soft cloth.

Maintain ventilation in the bathroom, and separate the dry area from the damp one if conditions permit. Try to open the door and windows of the bathroom and maintain good ventilation.

Kohler bathroom cabinet are dealt with strict procedures for damp-proof, whose good damp-proof function ensures good performance even in bathroom of huge humidity. Yet do not splash and pour water directly on the bathroom cabinet. Make sure that the bathroom is not over damp and wipe any splashes from surfaces immediately.

Maintenance of door board: Clean and wipe door board regularly, and wipe the condensation vapor with dry and soft cloth.
