USING THE CERAMIC BOWL
ATTACHING THE CERAMIC BOWL TO THE STAND MIXER
Before First Use
Your Stand Mixer is individually adjusted at the factory for optimal performance� When using the Ceramic Bowl, it may be necessary to readjust the beater-to-bowl clearance� When correctly positioned, the handle and pour spout should not touch the pedestal of the Stand Mixer� Please refer to the Stand Mixer Instructions manual for complete information on adjusting the beater-to-bowl clearance�
IMPORTANT: Before use, wash with hot, soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly� It is not necessary to season the Ceramic Bowl before use�
NOTE: This Ceramic Bowl is designed to fit all 4�3 and 4�8 liters Tilt Head Stand Mixer models except model KN15E1X� Follow these instructions to attach the Ceramic Bowl to your Stand Mixer�
Be sure the speed control is set to 0 (off) and the Stand Mixer is

unplugged� Tilt the motor head back�
Attach the appropriate accessory for your recipe, using the directions in the Stand Mixer Instructions

manual� Then place the motor head back in the down position and lock into place�

Place the Ceramic Bowl on the clamping plate, and attach by

turning gently in a clockwise direction�

REMOVING THE CERAMIC BOWL FROM THE STAND MIXER
Raise the motor head: Check to be sure that the Stand Mixer is unplugged, and the speed control

is turned to “0”; then, slide the locking lever to the unlock position and lift the motor head�
Remove the ceramic bowl:
Gently turn the ceramic bowl

counterclockwise to release it from the bowl clamping plate�
TIPS FOR GREAT RESULTS
• The Ceramic Bowl is safe for cooking or reheating in the microwave�
• The Ceramic Bowl is oven safe to 482°F (250°C); however, it is not recommended to place the Ceramic Bowl directly under the broiler�
• IMPORTANT: To avoid damaging the Ceramic Bowl, do not use on stovetop or with any other direct heat, such as broiler, grill, toaster oven, or direct flame�
• Baking time can vary when using ceramic bakeware� Monitor and adjust the cooking time as needed�
