1. Read all instructions. Misuse of the appliance may

put Blade Coffee Grinder in water or other liquid.
3. This appliance shall not be used by children.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting

cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,

7. The use of attachments not recommended or sold
by the manufacturer may cause re, electric shock
or injury.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach
of children.
10. Keep hands and utensils away from the cutting
blade while grinding food to reduce the risk of
severe injury to person or damage to the Blade
Coffee Grinder. A scraper may be used but only
when the Blade Coffee Grinder is not running.
11. Blade is sharp, handle carefully. Care shall be taken
when emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
12. Be certain cover is securely locked in place
before operating Blade Coffee Grinder.
13. Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock
mechanism.
14. To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF,” then
remove plug from wall outlet.
15. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory,
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance, in a
safe way, by a person responsible for their safety and
if they understand the hazards involved.
16. Do not use the appliance for purposes other than
those specied in this manual.
17. Never use toxic products (ammonia, alcohol,
removers, etc.) or metal sponges or brushes when
cleaning the Blade Coffee Grinder. These products
can damage and leave unpleasant odors inside your
appliance. Avoid contact between these products
and the Blade Coffee Grinder, as they may damage
the appliance.

A short power supply cord is supplied to
reduce the risk resulting from becoming

OPERATING BLADE COFFEE GRINDER
Before First Use
Wash bowl and top cover in hot, soapy
water. Rinse and dry. Handle the blade gently.
Bowl and top cover can also be washed in
the dishwasher (top rack only).
To Use Blade Coffee Grinder:
1. Be sure the Coffee Grinder is unplugged.
Make sure the inside of the top cover is
free of coffee grinds or residue.
2. Secure the bowl to the motor housing
by placing the bowl on top and turning
clockwise to lock into place.
7. To stop processing, release pressure on
the top cover.
8. Unplug the Coffee Grinder.
9. Wait until the blade has stopped rotating
and remove top cover.
10. Unlock bowl by turning it
counterclockwise. Remove bowl
from the motor housing.
3. A scale is provided inside the bowl for
the KitchenAid recommended amount
of beans to grind for 4, 8, 10, and 12
cups of coffee. Fill the bowl to your
desired cup size with 4 cups minimum
or 12 cups maximum level. Various
bean blends and bean sizes can cause
differences in ll level and grind times.
4. Position the top cover over the bowl so
that the lid’s latch aligns with the motor
housing base and the side guides fall
into place.
NOTE: Make sure both cover and bowl are
in position; otherwise, the Coffee Grinder
will not operate.
5. Plug power cord into electrical outlet.
6. Press down on the top cover to start
processing. For optimum grinding
results, do not pulse the top cover.
Do not grind continuously for more
than 30 seconds. See the the suggested
grinding times in the “Suggested
Grinding Chart” in the “Coffee grinding
tips” section.
11. Pour out ground coffee.
