CYCLE SELECTOR (TIMER) CONTROL
Auto Moisture Sensing
When you are using the Auto Moisture Sensing Cycle, the dryness
of the load is determined by two metal strips (sensors) located on
the inside of the dryer. The metal strips help “feel” the amount of
moisture left in the clothes as they tumble. When there is moisture
left in the clothes, the Cycle Control Knob will not advance. As
clothes begin to dry, the amount of water left in the clothes
decreases, and the timer advances through the remainder of the
cycle. When the selected dryness level is reached, the dryer goes
into a cool down period of up to 10 minutes.
If the load is drier than you like, you may select a setting closer to
Less Dry the next time you dry a similar load. If a load is not as
dry as you like, you may complete drying using a Timed cycle. You
may also select a setting closer to More Dry the next time you dry
a similar load.
Timed Dry
This cycle may be used to get up to 90 minutes of heated drying time.
The heating cycle is followed by a cool down period of up to
10 minutes.
Air Dry
You may use the Air Dry cycle to get up to 30 minutes of drying time in
room temperature air. This setting should be used for items such as
plastics, rubber and heat-sensitive fabrics.
Touch Up
This cycle may be used to help smooth synthetic and permanent press
clothes that are clean but wrinkled from being crowded in a closet or
suitcase. This setting provides about 15 minutes of heated tumbling
followed by a cool down period of up to 10 minutes.
FABRIC CARE/TEMPERATURE CONTROL
For models with a Fabric Care/Temperature Control knob, you may use this control to select the drying temperature that matches the fabrics in your
load. The following table lists suggested auto moisture sensing or timed dry settings for various loads. This is only a guide.
TROUBLESHOOTING – LONG DRY TIMES, LOAD NOT DRYING
Is the lint screen clogged with lint?
• Clean the lint screen before each load.
Before you call service...check for the following.
Is the exhaust vent or outside exhaust hood clogged with lint?
• Lint should be cleaned out of the exhaust vent at least once every
2 years.
See the Use and Care Guide for complete details.
WRINKLE GUARD®I
WRINKLE GUARD®I helps smooth out wrinkles that may form when clothes are not removed promptly at the end of a cycle.
WRINKLE GUARD®I continuously tumbles the load, without heat, for 30 minutes unless you open the dryer door.
During WRINKLE GUARD®I, the End of Cycle Signal will sound every 5 minutes unless the signal is turned off.

TUMBLE FREE™ HEATED DRYER RACK
Use the dryer rack for items that you do not want to tumble dry, or that you would normally line dry (for example, sweaters). Items containing
foam, rubber or plastic must be dried on a clothesline or by using an Air Cycle. The heated dryer rack should be used with a Timed Dry cycle.
When you use the heated dryer rack, the air inside the dryer circulates in a concentrated pattern over, under and through clothes, significantly
reducing drying time.
