*One of Kawasaki’s Most Fuel-Efficient Motorcycles

*Light Weight For Easy Handling

*Broad Usable Power Curve

*Simple, Convenient Dash-Mounted Controls

*Legenday Kawasaki Ninja Syling

*Great Value

*Looks Like a Full Size Motorcycle and Comes At A 250 Price

248 cm³, Inline Twin-Cylinder, DOHC Liquid Cooled Engine

Compact parallel twin design.

Light weight, high revving, with a broad torque curve.

Usable power, simple for reliability, durability.

Good mass centralization for superior handling.

Liquid Cooling

Highly-efficient, latest generation Denso radiator provides excellent cooling while minimizing space and weight.

Maintains consistent engine temperatures for long engine life and sustained power.

Allows tighter engine clearances for quieter running.

Includes temperature gauge.

Auxiliary Cooling Fan

Noise-reducing ring fan is compact and quiet.

Helps maintain optimum coolant temperature for best performance, fuel economy, and reliability.

4-Valve Cylinder Head

Intake and exhaust port shapes contribute to the engine‘s exceptional low and mid-range power characteristics.

Valve timing and lift designed to boost lowand mid-range torque.

Compact combustion chamber for increased compression ratio without detonation.

Boosts low end torque.

Provides maximum valve area for optimum flow.

High Velocity Induction Technology (H.I. TECH)

Settings for the twin Keihin CVK30 carburetors provide good power feeling with low fuel consumption.

Provides a smooth flow of air to the carburetors for maximum top end.

Carburetor and intake port diameters are sized for quicker mid-range throttle response.

Silent Cam Chain

Low friction coating on chain guides reduces wear, increases power.

Runs quietly, reliably.

Automatic Cam Chain Tensioner

• Screw-type automatic cam chain tensioner maintains precise control and requires no maintenance. The adjuster also eliminates the possibility of vibration resulting from a loose cam chain.

Maintains precise valve timing without maintenance.

Assures greater reliability.

2-Into-1 Exhaust

2-into-1 exhaust system contributes to low-and mid-range torque and the smooth, step-free power curve.

Upswept muffler designed to cut noise without sacrificing power.

Six-Speed Transmission

Involute splines reduce friction and backlash between gears and shafts for easier gear meshing and smoother shifting under power.

Spring-type clutch damper contributes to smooth clutch feel, reduces jerkiness at very low speeds and minimizes shocks when rolling on and off the throttle.

Wide range of gears provides excellent acceleration and relaxed highway cruising.

Positive Neutral Finder

Just lift the shift pedal from first gear at a stop to find neutral easily, every time.

A Kawasaki exclusive.

Push-to-Cancel Turn Signals

• No fumbling, just a simple push on the switch cancels the turn signals.

Diamond Frame

Lightweight, high-tensile steel.

Absence of downtubes simplifies maintenance and lowers center of gravity for easier handling.

Good ground and cornering clearance.

The suspension settings are firmer for less pitching and better handling.

Bottom-Link Uni-Trak rear suspension system lowers the center of gravity for better handling.

Petal Disc Brakes

Front and rear petal disc design from the larger Ninja models provide excellent heat dissipation and contribute to the 250R’s sporty appearance.

Balanced Actuation Calliper clamps the front disc for excellent feel and longer pad wear.

Rear dual-piston caliper grips a 220mm petal disc.

17-Inch Wheels

17-inch wheels with wide rims support low profile tires for better handling.

17-inch tires provide more choice for replacement.
