If you accidentally cut the power cord
Attach a new plug following the steps below. If in doubt, contact your local retailer.
Important
Never connect to the larger terminal marked with an “E”, the safety earth
symbol “ ” or coloured green or green-and-yellow. The wires in the mains lead on this product are coloured with the following code:
• Blue: Neutral wire (connect to the black terminal, or one marked “N”)
• Brown: Live wire (connect to the red terminal, or one marked “L”)
Change the fuse in the plug
Open the plug as illustrated on the right.
When replacing the fuse, always use a correctly
rated and approved type and re-t the fuse cover when nished.
If in doubt, contact your local retailer.

“Dolby Digital” output from the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal
Some digital channels are broadcasted with “Dolby Digital” signals. In these cases, “Dolby Digital” signals can be output from the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal.
1. Connect an audio system with a “Dolby Digital” decoder to the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal.
“Connecting external devices” (P. 9)
Æ
2. Change the “Digital Audio Output” setting from “PCM” to “Dolby Digital”.
“Digital Audio Output” (P. 29)
Æ
Even if “Dolby Digital” is set, “MPEG” signals will be output by a channel
that is not broadcast with “Dolby Digital” signals. Even if “Dolby Digital” is set, “Liner PCM” signals will be output from the
sources other than digital channels. Set the audio system so that it is compatible with “Dolby Digital”,
“MPEG” and “Linear PCM”. (For detail, refer to the audio system instruction manual.) If the audio system does not have a MPEG decoder, change the setting to “PCM” when listening the sound of a channel that is not broadcast with “Dolby Digital” signals. Do not change the setting to “Dolby Digital” from “PCM” when the audio
system does not have a “Dolby Digital” decoder. If you have a noise or no sound problem, change the setting to “PCM”
from “Dolby Digital”.
100Hz Clear Motion Drive II
Most conventional LCD panel uses 50 frames per second (50 Hz) to display an image which needs long holding time (time it takes to display single frame), causing blurring or ghost images when there is rapid or complex movement across the screen - a phenomenon common to all LCD panels.
This TV is equipped with JVC’s original “100Hz Clear Motion Drive II” technology, which displays two frames (the original plus the new interpolated frame) in the time a 50 Hz set displays a single frame. Resulting to double the typical rate, 100 frames per second (100 Hz) and halve the holding time without reducing brightness or contrast. By using this technology you will be able to reduce blurring or ghost images when there is rapid or complex movement across the screen.
By using “Auto Demonstration” (P. 34)”, you can display the differences between conventional LCD (50 Hz) and LCD panel equipped with “100Hz Clear Motion Drive II”.
