INSTALLATION

It’s a good idea to read all of the instructions before beginning the installation. We recommend having your Jensen MP1514BT Mobile Audio System installed by a reputable installation shop.

Notes:

• Choose a mounting location where the unit will not interfere with the driver.

• Before installing the unit, temporarily connect the wiring. Make sure it is

connected up properly and the unit and the system work properly.

• To ensure proper installation, use only parts included with the unit. The use of

unauthorized parts can cause malfunctions.

• Consult with your nearest dealer if installation requires the drilling of holes or

other modications to the vehicle.

• Install the unit where it does not get in the driver’s way and cannot injure the

passenger if there is a sudden stop, like an emergency stop.

• If the installation angle exceeds 30° from horizontal, the unit might not give its

optimum performance.

• Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperature, such as

from direct sunlight, or hot air from the heater, or where it would be subject to

dust, dirt or excessive vibration.

DIN Front/Rear Mount

This unit can be properly installed either from “Front” (conventional DIN Frontmount) or “Rear” (DIN Rear-mount installation, utilizing threaded screw holes at the sides of the unit chassis). For details, refer to the following illustrated installation methods.

Before installing the unit, remove the two transport screws.

DIN Front Mount (Method A)

Installation Opening

This unit can be installed in any dashboard having an opening as shown below:

Installing the Unit

Be sure you test all connections rst, and then follow these steps to install the unit.

1. Make sure the ignition is turned o, and then disconnect the cable from the

vehicle battery’s negative (-) terminal.

2. Disconnect the wire harness and the antenna.

3. Press the release button on the faceplate and remove the faceplate (see

“Removing the Faceplate”).

4. Remove the outer trim ring from the unit.

5. The two supplied keys release tabs inside the unit’s sleeve so you can remove

it. Insert the keys as far as they will go (with the notches facing up) into the appropriate slots at the middle left and right sides of the unit. Then slide the sleeve o the back of the unit.

6. Mount the sleeve by inserting it into the opening of the dashboard and bend

open the tabs located around the sleeve with a screwdriver. Not all tabs will be able to make contact, so examine which ones will be most eective. Bending open the appropriate tabs behind the dashboard to secure the sleeve in place.

7. Reconnect the wire harness and the antenna and be careful not to pinch any

wires or cables.

8. Slide the unit into the sleeve until it locks into place.

9. To further secure the unit, use the supplied metal strap to secure the back of

the unit in place. Use the supplied hardware (Hex Nut (M5mm) and Spring Washer) to attach one end of the strap to the mounting bolt on the back of the unit. If necessary, bend the metal strap to t your vehicle’s mounting area, then use the supplied hardware (Tapping Screw and Plain Washer) to attach the other end of metal strap to a solid metal part of the vehicle under the dashboard. This strap also helps ensure proper electrical grounding of the unit. Note: Install the short threading terminal of the mounting bolt to the back of the unit and the other long threading terminal to the dashboard.

10. Reconnect the cable to the vehicle battery’s negative (-) terminal.

11. Replace the outer trim ring.

12. Install the unit’s faceplate (see “Installing the Faceplate”).

Removing the Unit

1. Make sure the ignition is turned o, then disconnect the cable from the

vehicle battery’s negative (-) terminal.

2. Remove the metal strap attached the back of the unit (if attached).

3. Press the release button to remove the faceplate.

4. Lift the top of the outer trim ring then pull it out to remove it.

5. Insert both of the supplied keys into the slots at the middle left and right sides

of the unit, then pull the unit out of the dashboard.

DIN Rear Mount (Method B)

Note: The outer trim ring, sleeve and the metal strap are not used for method B

installation.

If your vehicle is a Nissan or Toyota, follow these mounting instructions:

1. Use the screw holes marked T (Toyota), N (Nissan) located on both sides of the

unit to fasten the unit to the factory radio mounting brackets supplied with your vehicle.

2. To fasten the unit to the factory radio mounting brackets, align the screw

holes on the bracket with the screw holes on the unit, and then tighten the screws (5x5mm) on each side.

Removing the Faceplate

1. Press the (release) button on the faceplate and pull o the faceplate.

Installing the Faceplate

To install the faceplate, insert the faceplate into the housing and make sure it is properly installed. Otherwise, the display may appear to be abnormal or some buttons will not function properly.

Handling Precautions

1. Do not drop the faceplate.

2. Do not put pressure on the display or control buttons when detaching or re-

installing the faceplate.

3. Do not touch the contacts on the faceplate or on the main unit body. It may

result in poor electrical contact.

4. If any dirt or foreign substances adhere to the contacts, they can be removed

with a clean and dry cloth.

5. Do not expose the faceplate to high temperatures or direct sunlight.

6. Keep away any volatile agents (e.g. benzene, thinner, or insecticides) from

touching the surface of the faceplate.

7. Do not attempt to disassemble the faceplate.

CONTROLS AND INDICATORS

1. 2 / INT (Introduction) Button

During disc play, press this button to sample or scan the introduction, or rst 10 seconds, of each track on the disc. By using this option, you can quickly choose the track(s) on the disc that you prefer. When the desired track is recognized, press the button again to cancel the introductory mode.

2. (Release) Button

Press this button to release the faceplate from the chassis.

3. 1 / (Pause/Play) Button

Press this button to pause playback. Press this button again to resume playback.

4. (Eject) Button

When pressed, disc play is stopped and the disc is automatically ejected. The CD icon will disappear from the display panel and the unit will revert to radio operation. If the disc is not removed from the unit, it will automatically be reloaded within 10 seconds to prevent accidental disc damage. The CD icon will remain displayed to indicate a disc is still loaded in the unit. If the disc eject button is pressed during radio operation, the disc is automatically ejected and radio play continues uninterrupted.

Note: Always remove the disc from the unit when the disc player is not to be used for

an extended period of time to prevent accidental disc damage and to preserve disc life.

5. 3 / RPT (Repeat) Button

When playing an audio CD press the button to continuously repeat the same track. Press the button again to turn the repeat function o. When playing MP3/WMA disc, press the button to select one of the following modes: RPT ONE (repeats the current track), REP DIR (repeats the tracks contained in the directory), and REP OFF which cancels the repeat function.

6. (tune/seek/track up) / Button

During disc play, this button is used to quickly select the end of a particular track in the forward direction. With each press of the button, the next higher track number will be selected as shown on the display panel. Press and hold the button to advance rapidly in the forward direction as indicated by the elapsed time display. In Bluetooth mode, press this button to answer a call.

7. / MUTE Button

Press this button to turn the unit ON. Press and hold to turn the unit OFF. When the unit is ON, momentarily press the button to mute the audio. Momentarily press the button again to unmute the audio.

8. EQ (Equalizer) Button

The Equalizer applies preset sound eects to the unit’s audio output signal. Pressing the EQ button allows selection of one of ve operating modes: Flat, Classic, Pop Rock, and EQ O.

9. DISP (Display) Button

Press this button to change the information appearing on the LCD display. The unit will display AM/FM frequency information, time, program information (if the radio is tuned to FM frequencies) or track information (during CD/MP3/ WMA playback).

10. Volume Knob (when rotated) / SELECT Button (when pressed)

Rotate the knob to increase or decrease the volume. VOL appears on the display panel, followed by the setting number. When pressed, the knob performs the Select function. This button is used to select the audio function (bass, treble, balance, fade or loudness) to be adjusted. Press the button once to select bass adjustment (BAS appears on the display panel). Pressing the button additional times will select treble adjustment (TRB), balance (BAL R-L), fader (FAD R-F), loudness (LOUD ON/ OFF), and return to volume (VOL). The display returns to the normal indication 5 seconds after the last adjustment or when another function is activated.

11. Remote Sensor

Detects signals from the remote control.

12. PTY (Program Type) /ENTER / CONN (Connect) Button

Press the PTY button to access the program type related search function. When the PTY function is enabled, turn the rotary knob to display a category (news, sports, talk, weather, jazz, oldies, country, Top 40, classic rock, soft rock, public, etc.). The unit will search for radio programming that contains the desired topic. In Bluetooth mode, press and hold this button to connect or disconnect the unit and wireless phone.

13. Disc Slot

With the label surface facing up, fully insert a compact disc into the slot until the load mechanism engages.

Note: This unit is designed to play standard 5” (12 cm) Compact Discs ONLY. Do not

attempt to use 3” (8 cm) CD-Singles in this unit, either with or without an adapter, as damage to the player and/or disc can occur. Such damage will not be covered by the Warranty on this product.

14. Liquid Crystal Display Panel

The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel displays the band and radio station frequency. If the station transmits music information this will also be displayed. This information usually consists of song title and artist. Also the radio can display PTY categories such as news, sports, talk etc.

15. Auxiliary Input Cover

Front panel cover which when open allows the connection of a USB device, iPod, iPhone or auxiliary input device for playback of music les.

16. Auxiliary Input Jack Accepts a 3.5 mm jack which can accept signals from various audio/video devices.

17. USB Port Allows for the connection of a USB device.

18. BAND / SEARCH / iPod-MENU Button Press this button to select or change the radio band (FM1, FM2, FM3 or AM). Press and hold this button to access the Auto-Store Tuning feature. If an iPod or iPhone is connected, press this button to initiate a category search.

19. (tune/seek/track down) / Button During disc play, this button is used to quickly select the beginning of a particular track in the backward direction. With each press of the button, the next lower track number will be selected as shown on the display panel. Press and hold the button to advance rapidly in the reverse direction as indicated by the elapsed time display. In Bluetooth mode, press this button to hang up or reject an incoming call.

20. 6 / DIR+ Button Used to access MP3/WMA discs with a folder hierarchy. The button will access folders in an ascending level. This button is nonfunctional if the disc only contains individual tracks.

21. 5 / DIR- Button Used to access MP3/WMA discs with a folder hierarchy. The button will access folders in an descending level. This button is nonfunctional if the disc only contains individual tracks.

22. 4 / RDM (Random) Button During disc play, press the button to play the tracks on the disc in a random or shued order (RDM ON appears on the display panel). In Random play mode, pressing the Next button ( ) will also select tracks in a random order instead of the normal progression. Pressing the Previous button ( ) will also select tracks in random order. The Random Play mode can be cancelled by pressing the button again (RDM OFF appears on the display panel).

23. MODE / PAIR Button Press this button to select radio, auxiliary device or disc play. When a CD is loaded, pressing this button will revert to radio operation; the disc icon ( ) will still be displayed, indicating a disc is still loaded in the unit. Pressing the button again will return to disc play, but the current track will start from the point it was stopped. In Bluetooth mode, press this button to initiate pairing.

24. 1 - 6 Preset Buttons Six numbered preset buttons store and recall channels for each band. The preset number will appear in the lower right corner of the display panel when the preset button is pressed.

25. SD Memory Card Slot The SD memory card slot is located behind the front panel. Insert an SD card to play back music les.

26. Reset Button

The reset button is located behind the front panel. Press this button to reset

the system settings to the factory default settings.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION

Battery Installation

The remote control comes with a battery already installed with a Pull Tab to prevent battery discharge. Remove the Pull Tab before attempting to use the remote control.

Note: The remote control will only operate this device.

It is not a universal remote control and will not control other equipment.

To replace the battery:

1. While holding the remote control, insert your

thumbnail into the battery door side notch (1) and index ngernail into battery door upper notch (2). Slide the battery holder open.

2. Install one CR2025 battery (1).

Note: Make sure that the proper polarity (+ or -) is

observed.

3. Slide the battery holder back into the remote control until it locks.

1. (Power On/O) / MUTE Button

Press this button to turn the unit ON. Press and hold to turn the unit OFF. When the unit is ON, momentarily press the button to mute the audio. Momentarily press the button again to unmute the audio.

2. VOL (Volume Up) Button Press this button to increase the volume. For MP3/WMA operations, press this button to select the characters A to Z, blank, 0 to 9, _, -, +.

3. MODE / PAIR Button This button enables selection of either the radio, auxiliary device or disc play. When a CD is loaded, press this button to revert to radio operation; the disc icon ( ) will still be displayed, indicating a disc is still loaded in the unit. Press this button again to return to disc play. The current track will start from the point where it was stopped. In Bluetooth mode, press this button to initiate the pairing process.

Using the Remote Control

1. Point the remote control handset to the remote sensor.

2. Press the function keys on the handset to control the system.

4. SEL (Sound Mode Select) Button This button is used to select the audio function (bass, treble, balance, fade or loudness) to be adjusted. Press the button once to select bass adjustment (BAS appears on the display panel). Pressing the button additional times will select treble adjustment (TRB), balance (BAL R-L), fader (FAD R-F), and return to volume (VOL). The display will return to the normal indication 5 seconds after the last adjustment or when another function is activated. For MP3/WMA operations, press this button to shift the cursor to the right.

5. (Next/Tune/Seek Up) / Button In radio mode, press the button briey to activate the automatic seek function and tune to next strong station. In MP3/WMA mode, press the button to move to the following track. In iPod or iPhone mode, press the button to play the next track in the current category.

6. VOL (Volume Down) Button Press this button to decrease the volume. For MP3/WMA operations, press this button to select the characters A to Z, blank, 0 to 9, _, -, +.

7. Button In Bluetooth mode, press this button to answer a call. To initiate a call, press this button then enter the number using the numeric keypad. Press this button again to dial the number.

12. 8 / EQ (Equalizer) Button Press this button to turn on the equalizer and to select the desired audio mode. Press and hold this button to turn TA (trac announcement) mode on or o.

13. 9 / PTY (Program Type) Button Press this button to enter the PTY select mode.

14. 0 / DISP (Display) Button Press this button to change the information appearing on the LCD display. When reading MP3/WMA les, press this button to display the corresponding le information such as folder, les, song title, artist, and album.

15. # (Pound)/ Scan /Connect Button In radio mode, press this button to scan for the next strong station. In Bluetooth mode, press and hold this button to connect or disconnect the unit and wireless phone. In Bluetooth mode, press this button to enter the # (pound) symbol.

16. * (Star)/ AS-PS (Automatic Memory Storing & Program Scanning) / iPod-

Menu Button

Press and hold to access the Auto-Store Tuning feature. If an iPod or iPhone is connected, press this button to initiate a category search. In Bluetooth mode, press this button to enter the * (star) symbol.

18. 7 / ST/MO (Stereo/Mono) Button In FM radio mode, press and hold this button to switch between stereo and mono mode of reception.

19. 4 / RDM (Random) Button During disc play, press this button to play the tracks on the disc in a random or shued order. The Random Play mode can be cancelled by pressing the button again.

20. 1 / PAUSE Button Press this button to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.

21. / BAND / LOUD Button In radio mode, press this button to select or change the radio band (FM1, FM2, FM3 or AM). Press and hold this button to turn the loudness function on or o. In Bluetooth mode, press this button to hang up or reject an incoming call. When using the numeric keypad, press this button to back space. In MP3 mode, press this button to initiate a track (le) or directory search.

22. (Previous/Tune/Seek down) Button Press the button briey to activate the automatic seek function and tune to the previous strong station. In MP3/WMA mode, press the button to move to the previous track. In iPod or iPhone mode, press the button to play the previous track in the current category.

BASIC OPERATION

Switching the Unit On or O

Press the /MUTE button to turn the unit on. The button illuminates. When unit is on, press and hold the /MUTE button to turn the unit o.

Releasing the Faceplate

Press the (Release) button to detach the removable faceplate.

Sound Adjustment Mode

The sound adjustment mode allows you to easily adjust your mobile audio system to meet the acoustical characteristics of your vehicle.

To Adjust the Sound:

1. Press the volume knob briey to enter the sound adjustment mode. “VOL”

appears in the display panel.

2. Press the volume knob briey again until the setting you want to change appears in the display panel. The settings will change in the following order:

VOL BAS TRB BAL FAD LOUD (Volume) (Bass) (Treble) (Balance) (Fader) (Loudness)

3. Rotate the volume knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the setting. The display panel will return to the normal indication in 5 seconds and the new settings are saved.

Settings:

• VOL - Reduces or increases the volume.

• BAS - Reduces or increases the bass frequency sound level.

• TRB - Reduces or increases the high frequency sound level.

• BAL - Balances the audio output levels between the left and right side of the

vehicle.

• FAD - Balances the audio output levels between the front and back side of the

vehicle.

• LOUD - Automatically alters the frequency response curve of audio to make it

sound more natural when played at a lower volume level.

System Settings

When using the mobile audio system for the rst time, it is recommended that you customize the system settings to suit your preferences.

To Customize System Settings:

1. Press and hold the volume knob to enter system setting mode. “BEEP ON” or

“BEEP OFF” appears in the display panel.

2. Press the volume knob briey again until the system setting you want to change appears in the display panel. The system settings are listed below.

3. Rotate the volume knob to change the corresponding system setting. The display panel will return to the normal indication in 5 seconds and the new system settings are saved.

System Settings:

The system settings are accessed in the following order:

1. BEEP ON/OFF

An audible beep tone conrms each function selection. Rotate the volume knob to set Beep sound ON or OFF.

2. P-VOL (Programmable Turn-On Volume) This setting allows a user to select a turn-on volume setting regardless of the volume setting prior to turning the unit o. To program a specic turn-on volume level, rotate the volume knob to the desired turn-on level.

3. AREA SAM/EUR/USA/ Rotate the volume knob to select the tuner region: SAM (South America), EUR (Europe) or USA.

4. HOUR 12H/24H (Clock Mode Setting) Rotate the volume knob to change the time format. You may set the time after selecting the time format.

• HOUR 12H - Clock displays time in a 12 hour format using AM and PM.

• HOUR 24H - Clock displays time in a 24 hour format (0:00 up to 23:59).

To set the time:

a. Rotate the volume knob to change the hours. b. Press the volume knob. c. Rotate the volume knob to change the minutes. The display panel will

return to the normal indication 5 seconds after the time is set.

5. PCLK ON/OFF Rotate the volume knob to turn the PCLK mode on or o.

• PCLK ON - Clock appears on the display panel when the unit is turned o.

• PCLK OFF - Clock does not appear on the display panel when the unit is turned o.

6. TA SEEK/ALARM (Trac announcements seek/alarm)

Rotate the volume knob to set TA SEEK or TA ALARM.

• TA SEEK: When the TA function is activated, the unit searches for a station

with trac announcements.

• TA ALARM: No automatic station search. The unit sounds a beep tone if

no trac information is received and “NO TP/TA” is displayed. “SEEK PI” is displayed if the selected station does not transmit an RDS signal.

7. TA VOL

Rotate the volume knob to adjust the trac announcement volume value.

Loudness

Loudness automatically alters the frequency response curve of audio to make it sound more natural when played at a lower volume level.

To Turn Loudness On or O:

1. Press the volume knob briey to enter the sound adjustment mode.

2. Press the volume knob briey again until LOUD (Loudness) is selected.

3. Rotate the volume knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to turn loudness on or o.

Changing the Display Panel Information

Press the DISP button change the information appearing on the display panel. The unit will display AM/FM frequency information, time, program type information (if the radio is tuned to FM frequencies) or track information (during MP3 playback).

Setting the Clock

1. Press and hold the volume knob to enter system setting mode.

2. Press the volume knob briey again until “HOUR 12H” or “HOUR 24H” appears in the display panel.

3. Rotate the volume knob to select 12 or 24 hour time format.

4. Press the volume knob. The hours ash.

5. Rotate the volume knob to change the hours.

6. Press the volume knob. The minutes ash.

7. Rotate the volume knob to change the minutes. The display panel will return to the normal indication 5 seconds after the time is set.

Equalizer Presets

The Equalizer Preset function applies a preset sound level to the unit’s audio output signal in accordance to the type of music being played.

To Select an Equalizer Preset:

1. Press the EQ button briey to turn on equalization function.

2. Press the EQ button briey again to select the desired equalizer setting. The equalizer settings will change in the following order: FLAT CLASSICS POP ROCK DSP OFF

Mute

Press the /MUTE button briey to mute the sound instantly. Press it again to restore the sound. Adjusting the volume knob also cancels the mute function.

Auxiliary Input

Open the Auxiliary Input Cover to access the auxiliary input jack. An external device can be connected to the unit using the AUX connector.

Factory Reset Function

The factory reset function restores the unit to its factory default settings. Reset the system for the following reasons:

• Initial installation of the unit when all wiring is completed.

• All the function buttons do not operate.

• Error symbol on the display panel.

To Reset the System:

1. Remove the front panel to access the RESET button.

2. Use the tip of a ballpoint pen or sharp metal object to press the RESET button. The factory default settings are restored.

Note: If you press the reset button, and the unit still does not operate, please use a

cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol to clean the multi-pin connector on the front panel.

RADIO OPERATION

Switching to Radio Mode

Press the MODE button briey to select radio mode. The radio frequency appears in the display panel together with the frequency memory band (F1, F2, F3 or AM).

Selecting the Frequency Band

In radio mode, press the BAND button briey to select the desired frequency band. The reception band will change in the following order:

F1 F2 F3 AM (FM1) (FM2) (FM3) (AM)

Selecting a Station

Automatic Tuning Mode

Press the button or button briey to activate the automatic seek function. “SEARCH” will appear on the display panel and the radio will tune to the previous or next station, respectively.

Manual Tuning Mode

1. Press and hold the button or button until “MANUAL” appears on the

display panel.

2. Tune to the desired station. Press and hold the button or button until the desired station is reached.

Note: If either button is not pressed for several seconds, the radio will return to

automatic tuning mode and “AUTO” appears on the display panel.

Setting Station Preset Memory Locations

The unit has four memory bands - three FM bands (FM1, FM2, and FM3) and one AM band (AM1). Each of the four bands can store up to six preset stations, for a total of 24 preset memory stations.

To Manually Set any of the 6 Preset Memories in Each Band:

1. Turn the radio on and select the desired band.

2. Select the rst station to be preset.

a. Press and hold the button or button until “MANUAL” appears on the

display panel.

b. Tune to the desired station. Press and hold the button or button until

the desired station is reached.

c. Press the preset button to be set (1 through 6 button on the front panel)

and continue to hold it in for approximately 2 seconds. The preset number will appear in the lower right corner of the display panel and a single beep will sound, indicating that the station is now set into that preset memory position. The station can now be recalled at any time by pressing that button.

3. Repeat the above procedure for the remaining 5 presets on that band and for the other 3 bands on the unit.

Automatic Memory Storing

The Automatic Memory Storing feature is most useful when travelling in an area where you are not familiar with the local stations. The Auto-Store Tuning feature will automatically scan and enter up to eighteen FM strong stations into the preset memory locations for the FM1, FM2 and FM3 bands or six strong AM stations into the preset memory locations for the AM band. Each band stores up to six preset stations.

Press and hold the BAND button for several seconds. “SEARCH” ashes in the display panel. The radio searches from the current frequency and checks the signal strength until one cycle search is nished. For each band, the 6 stations with the strongest signals are stored into the corresponding preset number button.

Note: If you have already set the preset memories to your favorite stations,

activating the Auto-Store feature will erase those stations and enter the new strong stations.

Radio Data System (RDS) Operation

The Radio Data System (RDS) simultaneously transmits digital data along with the audio signal on FM radio. Although RDS is a European standard, it is also used in the USA, where it is called Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS). RDS enables trac reports to be received and provides many facilities, including enabling the radio station name and program information to be displayed on the display panel.

To Use Program Type (PTY) to Select Programs:

1. Press the PTY button once to select the PTY group.

2. Rotate the volume knob to select the PTY program.

3. Press the button or button to search. “PTY SEEK” appears in the display panel. The unit searches for the respective stations and stops when a station is found.

Note: “PTY NONE” appears in the display panel if a station is not found.

4. With PTY ON, press the PTY button again to cancel the PTY function.

To Listen to Trac Announcements:

1. Press and hold the EQ button. “TA” and “SEARCH” appears in the display panel.

The unit will search for Trac Announcements automatically. After the end of the trac announcement the initial operating mode will be restored.

2. Press and hold the EQ button again to exit TA mode.

CD/MP3/WMA OPERATION

Loading a Disc

If there is no CD/MP3/WMA disc inserted in the CD player:

Gently insert a disc with the label side up into the disc slot until you feel some resistance. The disc will be drawn into the player automatically. “READING CDP PLAY” appears in the display panel then disc playback begins. The CD icon appears, indicating a disc is loaded in the unit.

Switching to CD Mode

If a CD/MP3/WMA disc is already inserted in the CD player:

Press the MODE button until “READING CDP PLAY” appears in the display panel. Disc playback resumes.

Selecting a Track

Press the button to play the previous track or the button to play the next track. The track number is shown on the display panel.

Press and hold the button to fast reverse play back or the button to fast forward play back. Disc play resumes when you release the button.

Pausing or Resuming Playback

Press the button to pause disc playback. “S-PAUSE” appears on the display panel.

Press the button again to resume disc play.

Previewing a Track

During disc play, press the INT button to play the rst 10 seconds of each track on the disc. “S-INT” and the track number appears on the display panel. When a desired track is reached, press the INT button to listen to the track.

When playing a MP3/WMA disc, press and hold the INT button to play the rst 10 seconds of each track in the current directory. “D-INT” and the track number appears on the display panel. When a desired track is reached, press the INT button to listen to the track.

Repeating a Track

Press the RPT button to continuously repeat the same track. “S-RPT” and the track number will appear on the display panel. Press the RPT button again to cancel the repeat function.

When playing a MP3/WMA disc, press and hold the RPT button to repeat all tracks in the current directory. “D-RPT” and the track number will appear on the display panel. Press the RPT button again to cancel the repeat function.

Playing Tracks in a Random Order

Press the RDM button to play all tracks on a CD in a random order. “S-RDM” and the track number appears on the display panel. Press the RDM button again to cancel the random function.

When playing a MP3/WMA disc, press and hold the RDM button to play all tracks in the current directory in random order. “D-RDM” and the track number appears on the display panel. Press the RDM button again to cancel the random function.

When the random function enabled, press the or track select buttons to select tracks in a random order instead of the normal progression.

Ejecting a Disc

Press the button to stop disc playback and eject the disc from the disc slot. When the disc is ejected and removed, the unit will automatically switch to radio mode.

If the disc is not removed from the slot within 10 seconds, it will automatically load into the slot again.

Electronic Skip Protection (ESP) Function

The unit is equipped with Electronic Skip Protection (ESP) circuits. This capability enables the player to project disc play approximately 10 seconds ahead of its current play position. As a result, if a severe road bump is encountered during player operation, play of the current track will not be interrupted, or result in a skip.

Special Functions for MP3/ WMA Discs

Selecting a Directory

When selected for play, les and folders are accessed in the order they were written by the CD writer. As a result, the order in which they are expected to play may not match the order in which they are actually played.

Press the DIR- button to select the folder hierarchy in a downward direction or the DIR+ button to select the folder hierarchy in an upward direction. If the MP3/ WMA disc does not contain any folders, the DIR- button and DIR+ buttons are not operational.

Notes on discs:

• This unit will only play the following discs:

Type of Disc Label on the disc Recorded Material Size of Disc CD, MP3, WMA Audio only 12 cm

• Do not use irregularly shaped discs such as heart or star-shaped discs as they

may cause the unit to malfunction. Be sure to use round shape CD discs only for this unit.

• Do not stick paper or tape, etc, onto the label side or the recording side of any

discs, as it may cause a malfunction.

• Dirty, dusty, scratched, and warped discs may not operate properly.

Notes on CD-Rs (recordable CDs)/CD-RWs (rewritable CDs):

• The unit cannot play CD-R or CD-RW discs that are not nalized. This is also

called “closing the session” in some CD-R/CD-RW software. (Please refer to your CD-R/CD-RW recorder or CD-R/CD-RW software manual for more information on the nalization process).

• Depending on the recording status, and conditions of the disc and the

equipment used for the recording, some CD-Rs/CD-RWs may not be played on this unit. For more reliable play back, please see following recommendations:

- Use CD-RWs with speed 1x to 4x and write with speed 1x to 2x.

- Use CD-Rs with speed 1x to 8x and write with speed 1x to 2x.

- Do not play a CD-RW which has been written for more than 5 times.

Notes on MP3 les (MP3 Version Only):

• The disc must be in the ISO9660 level 1 or level 2 format, or Joliet or Romeo in

the expansion format.

• When naming a MP3 le, be sure the le name extension is “.MP3”.

• For a non-MP3 le, even though the le name extension is “.MP3”, the unit

cannot recognize it.

USB OPERATION

The unit contains a USB interface. The USB interface is located on the faceplate beneath the protective cover. You can connect an USB memory device using this interface.

4. If the unit is in another mode of operation press the MODE button to select USB mode.

Note: When in USB play mode, be sure not to remove the USB device from the USB

connector.

Note: The unit can only support a standard USB memory device. When connecting

an MP3 player that uses normal batteries (non rechargeable batteries), the batteries should be removed from the MP3 player rst and then connected to the USB connector. Otherwise, damage to the batteries may result.

Selecting Tracks Using the Band Button

When playing MP3 discs, using a USB thumbdrive or SD card, you may initiate a search for les or directories by pressing the BAND button. The types of searches you may perform are described below:

To Search for Tracks Directly:

1. Press the BAND button once.

2. Rotate the volume knob to select a track number.

3. Press the volume knob to start playing the track.

To Search for a Directory or File Name:

1. Press the BAND button twice.

2. Rotate the volume knob to select the characters A to Z, blank, 0 to 9, _, -, and +.

3. Press the volume knob to conrm entry of each character.

4. Press the PTY button to start the title search.

5. Press the volume knob to select the displayed song or directory.

To Search for a File or Directory from the Root Directory:

1. Press the BAND button three times.

2. Rotate the volume knob counterclockwise to select the desired directory.

3. Press the volume knob to conrm the directory.

4. Rotate the volume knob counterclockwise to select the desired song or directory.

5. Press the volume button to conrm. If the selected title is a song, it starts to play. If the selected title is a directory, repeat steps 4 and 5 to select a song.

To Search for a File or Directory from the Current Directory:

1. Press the BAND button four times.

2. Rotate the volume knob to select the desired song.

3. Press the volume knob to conrm the song.

Displaying Track Information

Press the DISP button to show the following information on the display panel: time, ID3 TAG information if available (song title, directory name, artist name, etc.), and track number.

iPod®/iPhone® OPERATION

An iPod or iPhone device can be connected to the unit through the USB interface on the front panel. Once connected, if the unit is in another mode of operation press the MODE button to select iPod mode.

Selecting a Category

1. When iPod or iPhone is playing, press the BAND (iPod-MENU) button. The

category will appear on the display.

2. Rotate the volume knob to change the category as follows: PLAY LIST ARTIST ALBUM GENRE SONGS

3. Press the volume button to conrm the selected category.

Selecting a Track

1. Select a category as described above. When pressing the volume button to

conrm the selected category, the display panel will show the current catalog stored in the iPod or iPhone.

2. Rotate the volume knob to change the track title to the next track or the previous track.

3. Press the volume button to play the selected track.

Pausing Playback

When playing a track, press the button to pause playback. Press the button again to resume playback.

Repeating a Track

When playing a track, press the RPT button briey to repeat the current track. Press the RPT button again to cancel the repeat function.

Playing Tracks in a Random Order

When playing a track, press the RDM button to play all tracks in the current category in random order. RDM will appear on the display. Press RDM again to cancel the function.

Press the RDM button for 2 seconds to play all tracks in an album. In the Song or Album shue mode, press the RDM button again to exit shue

mode.

Selecting a Track Up/Down

When playing a track, press the button or button to play the previous or next track in the current category. You can not enter the next category.

When playing a track for more than 1 second, press the button to play the current track from the start of that track.

When playing a track for less than 1 second, press the button to play the previous track.

When playing a track, press and hold the button or button for several seconds to play in fast reverse or fast forward. Release the button to resume normal playback.

BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS DEVICE OPERATION

Wireless products featuring Bluetooth technology have the capability to wirelessly synchronize and transfer data among devices. The Bluetooth audio capabilities can be used for mobile phones hands free applications. Bluetooth wireless technology has many proles and the unit is compatible with most mobile phones featuring Bluetooth wireless technology.

Before attempting to use the Bluetooth functions on the unit, please make sure your mobile phone supports Bluetooth functions. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

• Before using Bluetooth functions, you must pair your mobile phone to the

MP1514BT head unit.

• The line-of-sight distance between this unit and your mobile phone must be

9 feet (3 meters) or less for sending and receiving voice and data via Bluetooth wireless technology.

• Always keep a clear path between the mobile phone and the unit. Never place a

metal object or any other obstacle between the mobile phone and the unit.

• Before accepting or making a call, make sure your mobile phone’s “Bluetooth

function” is turned on.

• To ensure the best conversation quality/performance, stay within one meter of

the microphone when talking.

Pairing Your Mobile Phone

Before using Bluetooth functions, you must pair your mobile phone and the unit. Pairing is a special process used when two devices connect for the rst time. The pairing process is used to generate a link key that is used for authentication purposes for future Bluetooth wireless technology connections between devices.

Your mobile phone can initiate a search for a new device and pair the unit.

To Pair a Mobile Phone to the Unit:

Note: The following procedures are generic. Procedures for pairing vary slightly

from phone manufacturer to phone manufacturer.

1. To enter pairing mode, press the MODE/PAIR button until “PAIRING” appears

in the display panel.

2. Access the mobile phone’s Bluetooth function and set the Bluetooth function to on. (Please refer to the mobile phone’s instruction manual to enter Bluetooth setup, turn Bluetooth on/o, and perform pairing.)

3. Use the mobile phone’s add a new device feature. “CARBT_JENSEN” appears in the list on your mobile phone.

4. Select “CARBT_JENSEN”. The unit has an auto pairing function. It will search for the Bluetooth mobile phone and pair automatically. A prompt to connect should appear on your mobile phone. Accept the request and initiate the process.

NOTE: Some mobile phones require a “pass key” or pairing code to connect. If your

phone requires a pass key or pairing code, you will need to enter this number. The default pairing code for the unit is “0000”.

5. At this point a prompt stating that pairing is successful should appear. Another prompt should appear asking connect to the unit, Yes or No. Press Yes. The mobile phone and the unit should connect. The mobile phone should display a message similar to “Device Connected.” The mobile phone and the unit are now connected. When successfully paired, “BT AUDIO” and the Bluetooth symbol appears on the display panel.

Note: If pairing fails, try to pair again within several seconds. Refer to the mobile

phone’s instruction manual. Delete the device that you just searched for and re-pair again.

Note: During pairing, only the (Release) button, volume up/down buttons /

and MUTE button are functional. The other buttons are disabled during

pairing mode.

Note: If you want to exit pairing mode while pairing, press and hold the MODE/

PAIR button until “PAIR END” appears on the display panel.

Auto-Reconnection

This unit has a built-in auto-reconnection function. In some conditions, the unit will auto reconnect with the mobile phone (note: the mobile phone must have been paired with the unit before.)

Before dialing, you need to conrm that the Bluetooth symbol appears on the display panel within ten seconds of the following conditions:

• When you turn o the unit and then turn it on again.

• Switch o the ACC wire and switch it on again.

• Press the (release) button to release the front panel and install the

panel again.

If you press the button, ‘NOT PAIR’ may appear on the display panel. You can wait for several seconds to let the unit reconnect automatically or press and hold the CONNECT button for several seconds to reconnect. During reconnection, the display panel will show “CONN TRY” several times and then show “CONN OK” if the connection is successful.

Displaying the Telephone Menu

1. When pairing is successful, press and hold the DISP button on the front panel

enter the telephone menu.

2. Keep pressing the DISP button or press the or buttons to select the items in this menu. The items will be displayed in the following sequence: RECEIVED DIALED MISSED MANU ANS TALK XX.

The telephone menu items are listed below:

• RECEIVED: Displays the calls you have received.

Rotate or press the volume knob to scan the last received numbers. Press the button to dial the number.

• DIALED: Display the last 10 dialed numbers.

Rotate or press the volume knob to scan the numbers. Press the button to dial the number.

• MISSED: Displays the call you have missed.

• TALK XX (Talk Volume): Displays the current talk volume level

Rotate the volume knob button to adjust the volume level.

Managing Incoming Calls

Answering an Incoming Call

1. Hold the DISP button on the front panel enter the telephone menu.

2. Press the DISP button select MANU ANS.

3. Rotate the volume knob to select the MANU ANS (manual answer) or AUTO ANS (auto answer) mode. In AUTO ANS mode, the unit will answer an incoming call automatically. In MANU ANS mode, press the button to answer an incoming call

Rejecting an Incoming Call

In MANU ANS mode, press the button to reject the incoming call.

Making Outgoing Calls

Outgoing calls can be made in two manners. The outgoing call can be made by calling a number from the received, dialed or missed lists, or dialed directly using the remote control.

To Make an Outgoing Call Using the Received, Dialed or Missed Lists:

1. Press and hold the DISP button on the front panel to enter the

telephone menu.

2. Press the DISP button again to access the “RECEIVED”, “DIALED” or “MISSED”, menu items.

3. Rotate the volume knob to select a phone number.

4. Press the button to dial the number.

To Dial Directly Using the Remote Control:

1. Press the button on remote control. “DIAL” appears on the display panel.

2. Use the 0 to 9, *, and # buttons to enter the phone number you want to dial.

3. Press the button again to call the number. “CALLING” appears on the display panel.

Note: If you input a wrong number, press the /BAND button to clear it. Press and

hold the /BAND button to clear all numbers.

4. To redial the number: a. Press the button twice. “LAST NUM” appears on the display panel. b. Press the button again to redial the last called number.

Holding a Call

While talking mode, press the button to interrupt the call temporarily. Press the button again to continue the call.

Note: Your mobile phone must support this function. Please refer to your mobile

phone’s instruction manual.

Transferring a Call

While talking, press and hold the button to transfer the phone call between the mobile phone and the unit.

Note: If you transfer a call to mobile phone, the mute function cancelled and the

unit will return to the mode it was in prior to the call.

Bluetooth Wireless Technology Music Function

Wireless products featuring Bluetooth technology provide an Advanced Audio Distribution Prole (A2DP) prole for streaming music from a mobile phone or a portable multimedia player (PMP), sometimes referred to as a MP3 player. The unit allows you to play back audio les from your mobile phone or a PMP using a Bluetooth wireless technology connection.

Note: Your mobile phone must support this function. Please refer to your mobile

phone’s instruction manual.

When in A2DP mode, only the and buttons or PAUSE button (remote control only) are functional.

Press the button on the front panel of the unit to choose the previous track. Press the button on the front panel of the unit to choose the next track.

Press the PAUSE button on the remote control to pause play.

Microphone

Connect the supplied external microphone to the MIC jack on the back of unit. Install the microphone in your vehicle in an accessible location that provides optimum voice reception.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Before going through the checklist, the check wiring connections. If any of the problems persist after checking the list, contact your nearest service dealer.

Problem Cause Solution

No power. • The car ignition switch is

not on.

• The fuse is blown.

• If the power supply is connected to the car accessory circuits, but the engine is not running, switch the ignition key to “ACC”.

• Replace the fuse. Make sure the amperage matches the specied value.

Disc cannot be loaded or ejected.

• A disc is loaded inside the player.

• The transport screws are installed.

• Remove the disc in the player, then insert a new one.

• Remove the two transport screws from the top of the unit.

Disc does not play back.

• The disc is inserted in the wrong direction.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. Use only a clean silicon cloth and neutral detergent to clean the front panel. A rough cloth and non-neutral detergent (such as alcohol) may result in scratching or discoloration.

2. Do not get water or cleaning uids on the unit.

3. Insert only 5” (12 cm) compact discs into the player. The mechanism can be

damaged by foreign objects.

4. Do not attempt to use a 3” (8 cm) CD-Single disc in this unit, either with

or without an adaptor. Damage to the player and/or disc may occur. Such damage is not covered by the Warranty on this product.

5. The CD player may not operate properly in extreme hot or cold. If such

conditions occur, allow the interior of the vehicle to reach a normal temperature before using player.

6. When the vehicle warms up during cold weather or under damp conditions,

condensation may appear on the display panel. Should this occur, the screen will not operate properly until the moisture has evaporated.

7. We suggest you use a cleaning disc in this unit more frequently than you may

in a home unit due to the environmental conditions of the vehicle.

INSTALACIÓN

Conviene que lea todas las instrucciones antes de comenzar la instalación. Le recomendamos que encargue la instalación del sistema de audio móvil Jensen MP1514BT a un establecimiento de reconocida reputación.

Notas:

• Elija una ubicación de montaje donde la unidad no interera con la función

normal de conducción del conductor.

• Conecte temporariamente los cables antes de instalar la unidad. Asegúrese de

que la unidad esté correctamente conectada y que tanto ésta como el sistema

funcionen adecuadamente.

• Utilice únicamente las piezas que se incluyen con la unidad para garantizar una

instalación correcta. El uso de piezas no autorizadas puede provocar fallos de

funcionamiento.

• Consulte con su distribuidor más cercano en el caso de que la instalación

requiera la realización de oricios u otras modicaciones del vehículo.

• Instale la unidad donde no moleste al conductor y no pueda causar lesiones al

pasajero en caso de una parada repentina, como ser una parada de emergencia.

• Si el ángulo de instalación se excede 30° con respecto a la línea la horizontal, es

posible que la unidad no funcione de forma óptima.

• Evite instalar la unidad donde pueda estar expuesta a altas temperaturas tales

como la luz solar directa o el aire caliente de la calefacción, o donde pueda estar

expuesta a cantidades excesivas de polvo, suciedad o vibraciones.

Esta unidad puede instalarse en cualquier tablero que tenga una abertura como la que se muestra a continuación:

Instalación de la unidad

Asegúrese de probar todas las conexiones, y luego siga estos pasos para instalar la unidad.

1. Asegúrese de que el motor está apagado, y luego desconecte el cable

terminal negativo (-) de la batería del vehículo.

2. Desconecte el mazo de cables y la antena.

3. Presione el botón de extracción en el panel frontal y retire el panel frontal (vea

"Extracción del panel frontal").

4. Quite el perl embellecedor exterior de la unidad.

5. Las dos llaves incluidas sirven para soltar las pestañas del interior del soporte

de la unidad para poder extraerla. Inserte las llaves hasta el fondo (con las muescas hacia arriba) en las ranuras correspondientes en el centro de los lados izquierdo y derecho de la unidad. Luego deslice la abrazadera y sáquela por la parte trasera de la unidad.

6. Monte la abrazadera insertándola en la apertura del tablero y abra las

pestañas situadas alrededor de la abrazadera con un destornillador. Puesto que no todas las pestañas podrán hacer contacto, examine las que vayan a ser más efectivas. Doble y abra las pestañas adecuadas detrás del tablero para que la abrazadera quede bien sujeta.

7. Vuelva a conectar el mazo de cables y la antena procurando que ninguno de

los cables o alambres quede pinzado.

8. Deslice la unidad hacia el interior de la abrazadera hasta que quede trabada

en posición.

9. Para jar más la unidad, use el eje metálico suministrado para asegurar en

su lugar la parte posterior de la unidad. Utilice los elementos suministrados [tuerca hexagonal, (M 5mm) y la arandela con resorte] para acoplar un extremo del eje al perno de montaje en la parte posterior de la unidad. Si fuera necesario, doble el eje metálico para que se adapte a un área de montaje del vehículo, luego utilice los elementos suministrados (tornillo autorroscante y arandela plana) para acoplar el otro extremo del eje metálico a una pieza metálica sólida del vehículo debajo del tablero. Este eje también ayuda a asegurar la conexión eléctrica a tierra correcta de la unidad. Nota: Instale el terminal de rosca corta del perno de montaje en la parte posterior de la unidad y el otro terminal de rosca larga en el tablero.

Extracción de la unidad

1. Asegúrese de que el motor está apagado, y luego desconecte el cable

3. Presione el botón de extracción para quitar el panel frontal.

4. Levante la parte superior del perl embellecedor exterior y tire de él para sacarlo.

5. Inserte las dos llaves suministradas en las ranuras situadas en el centro de los lados

derecho e izquierdo de la unidad, y a continuación saque la unidad del tablero.

Nota: El perl embellecedor exterior, la abrazadera y el eje metálico no se utilizan

para el método B de instalación.

Si su vehículo es un Nissan o Toyota, siga estas instrucciones de montaje:

1. Utilice los oricios de los tornillos marcados con una T (Toyota), o con una

N (Nissan), situados a ambos lados de la unidad para jar la unidad a los soportes de montaje de la radio suministrados con su vehículo.

2. Para jar la unidad a los soportes de montaje de la radio, alinee los oricios de

los tornillos del soporte con los oricios de los tornillos de la unidad y luego apriete los tornillos (5x5 mm) en cada lado.

Para instalar el panel frontal, colóquelo en la carcasa y asegúrese de que esté correctamente instalado. De lo contrario, la pantalla o algunos botones pueden funcionar de forma anómala.

Precauciones en cuanto a la manipulación de la unidad

1. No deje caer el panel frontal.

2. No ejerza presión sobre la pantalla ni sobre los botones de control al extraer o

al volver a instalar el panel frontal.

3. No toque los contactos del panel frontal ni el cuerpo principal de la unidad.

CONTROLES E INDICADORES

1. Botón 2 / INT (Introducción)

Mientras se reproduce un disco, presione este botón para oír una muestra o explorar la introducción o los primeros 10 segundos de cada pista del disco. Con esta opción, puede seleccionar rápidamente la(s) pista(s) del disco que usted preera. Cuando llegue a la pista deseada, vuelva a presionar el botón para cancelar el modo de introducción.

2. Botón (Extraer)

Presione este botón para extraer el panel frontal de la carcasa.

3. Botón 1 / (Pausa/Reproducción)

Presione este botón para poner en pausa la reproducción. Vuelva a presionarlo para reanudar la reproducción.

4. Botón (Expulsar)

Al presionar este botón, se detiene la reproducción del disco y se lo expulsa automáticamente. El ícono del CD desaparecerá de la pantalla y la unidad volverá a funcionar en el modo de radio. Si el disco no se extrae de la unidad, se volverá a cargar automáticamente dentro de 10 segundos para evitar que el disco se dañe accidentalmente. El ícono del CD permanecerá en la pantalla para indicar que todavía hay un disco cargado en la unidad. Si se presiona el botón de expulsión de disco durante la operación de la unidad en el modo de radio, el disco se expulsará automáticamente sin interrumpirse la reproducción.

Nota: Extraiga siempre el disco de la unidad cuando el reproductor de discos no

vaya a usarse por un período prolongado, a n de evitar daños accidentales al disco y preservar la vida útil de este.

5. Botón 3 / RPT (Repetir)

Mientras se está reproduciendo un CD de audio, presione el botón para repetir continuamente la misma pista. Presione el botón otra vez para desactivar la función de repetición. Cuando reproduce un disco con archivos MP3/WMA, presione el botón para seleccionar uno de los modos siguientes: RPT ONE (repite la pista actual), REP DIR (repite las pistas del directorio), y REP OFF (Repetición apagada) que cancela la función de repetición.

6. Botón (Sintonizar/Buscar/Pista siguiente) /

Durante la reproducción de un disco, este botón se utiliza para seleccionar rápidamente el nal de una pista particular en la dirección de avance. Cada vez que presiona el botón , se seleccionará el siguiente número superior de pista según se muestra en la pantalla. Mantenga presionado el botón para avanzar rápidamente hacia adelante, según se indica en la pantalla de tiempo transcurrido. En el modo Bluetooth, presione este botón para contestar una llamada.

7. Botón / MUTE (Silenciar)

Presione este botón para encender la unidad. Manténgalo presionado para apagarla. Con la unidad encendida, presione temporariamente el botón para silenciar el audio. Presione el botón un instante de nuevo para oír el audio otra vez.

8. Botón EQ (Ecualizador)

El ecualizador aplica efectos de sonido preseleccionados a la señal de salida de audio de la unidad. Al presionar el botón EQ se accede a la selección de uno de los cinco modos de operación: Flat (Neutro), Classic (Clásico), Pop, Rock, y EQ O (Ecualizador apagado).

9. Botón DISP (Pantalla)

Presione este botón para cambiar la información que se muestra en la pantalla de cristal líquido (LCD). La unidad mostrará la información de la frecuencia AM/FM, la hora, la información del programa (si la radio está sintonizada con frecuencias FM) o la información de la pista (durante la reproducción de CD/MP3/WMA).

10. Perilla de volumen (cuando se gira) / Botón de selección (cuando se presiona)

Gire la perilla para subir o bajar el volumen. VOL aparece en la pantalla, seguido por el número de conguración. Cuando se presiona, la perilla sirve para seleccionar las funciones. Este botón se usa para seleccionar la función de audio que desea ajustar [bass (graves), treble (agudos), balance, fade (balance delantero-trasero) o loudness (intensidad sonora)]. Presione el botón una vez para seleccionar el ajuste de graves (BAS aparece en la pantalla). Presione este botón más veces para seleccionar ajuste de agudos (TRB), balance (BAL R-L), balance delantero-trasero (FAD R-F), intensidad sonora (LOUD ON/OFF) y regresar a volumen (VOL). La pantalla volverá a la indicación normal 5 segundos después del último ajuste o cuando se active otra función.

11. Sensor remoto

Detecta señales del control remoto.

12. Botón PTY (Tipo de programa) /ENTER / CONN (Conectar)

Presione el botón PTY para acceder a la función de búsqueda relacionada con el tipo de programa. Cuando la función PTY está activada, gire la perilla para visualizar una categoría (noticias, deportes, conversación, clima, jazz, clásicos, país, Top 40, rock clásico, rock suave, público, etc.). La unidad buscará la programación de radio que contenga el tema deseado. En el modo Bluetooth, mantenga presionado este botón para conectar y desconectar la unidad y el teléfono inalámbrico.

13. Ranura de inserción de discos

Con la supercie de la etiqueta hacia arriba, introduzca completamente un disco compacto en la ranura hasta que el mecanismo de carga se active.

14. Pantalla de cristal líquido

El panel de la pantalla de cristal líquido (LCD) muestra la banda de radio y la frecuencia de la emisora de radio. Si la emisora transmite información sobre la música, esta también se mostrará. Esta información generalmente consiste en el título de la canción y el nombre del artista. La radio también puede mostrar las categorías PTY tales como noticias, deportes, conversaciones, etc.

Durante la reproducción de un disco, este botón se utiliza para seleccionar rápidamente el comienzo de una pista particular en la dirección de retroceso. Cada vez que presiona el botón , se seleccionará el siguiente número superior de pista según se muestra en la pantalla. Mantenga presionado el botón para avanzar rápidamente hacia atrás, según se indica en la pantalla de tiempo transcurrido. En el modo Bluetooth, presione este botón para contestar o rechazar una llamada entrante.

20. Botón 6 / DIR+

Se utiliza para acceder a los discos con archivos MP3/WMA y una jerarquía de carpetas. El botón da acceso a las carpetas en un nivel ascendente. Este botón no funciona si el disco sólo contiene pistas individuales.

21. Botón 5 / DIR-

Se utiliza para acceder a los discos con archivos MP3/WMA y una jerarquía de carpetas. El botón da acceso a las carpetas en un nivel descendente. Este botón no funciona si el disco sólo contiene pistas individuales.

22. Botón 4 / RDM (Aleatorio)

Durante la reproducción de un disco, presione el botón para reproducir las pistas del disco en un orden aleatorio o al azar. Aparece RDM ON (Aleatorio activado) en la pantalla. En el modo de Reproducción al azar, al presionar el botón Siguiente ( ) también se seleccionarán las pistas en un orden aleatorio, en lugar de seguir la progresión normal. Al presionar el botón Anterior ( ) también se seleccionarán las pistas en un orden aleatorio. El modo de reproducción aleatoria puede cancelarse volviendo a presionar el botón [aparece RDM OFF (Aleatorio desactivado) en la pantalla].

23. Botón MODE /PAIR (Modo/ Asociar)

Presione este botón para seleccionar la radio, el dispositivo auxiliar o la reproducción del disco. Cuando hay un CD colocado, se pasará a la función de radio al presionar este botón; el ícono del disco ( ) se seguirá mostrando, lo que indica que todavía hay un disco en la unidad. Si se vuelve a presionar el botón, se volverá a reproducir el disco, pero la pista actual comenzará a reproducirse en el punto en que se detuvo. OPERACIÓN DEL CONTROL REMOTO

Instalación de la batería

El control remoto viene con una batería ya instalada con una lengüeta para evitar la descarga de la batería. Quite la lengüeta adherida antes de tratar de usar el control remoto.

Nota: El control remoto sólo funcionará con este

dispositivo. No es un control remoto universal y no controlará otros equipos.

Para reemplazar la batería:

1. Mientras sostiene el control remoto, inserte la uña del pulgar en la ranura lateral (1) de la tapa de la batería y coloque la uña del dedo índice en la muesca superior (2) de la tapa de la batería y deslícela para abrir el compartimento de la batería.

2. Instale una batería CR2025 (1).

Nota: Asegúrese de respetar la polaridad (+ o -) correcta.

3. Introduzca de nuevo la tapa deslizándola por el compartimento de la batería

en el control remoto hasta que se trabe.

4. Botón SEL (Selección del modo de sonido)

Este botón se usa para seleccionar la función de audio que desea ajustar (graves, agudos, balance, balance delantero-trasero o intensidad sonora). Presione el botón una vez para seleccionar el ajuste de graves (aparece BAS en la pantalla). Presione este botón más veces para seleccionar el ajuste de agudos (TRB), balance (BAL R-L), balance delantero-trasero (FAD R-F) y regresar a volumen (VOL). La pantalla volverá a la indicación normal 5 segundos después del último ajuste o cuando se active otra función. En el modo Bluetooth, presione este botón para contestar una llamada. Para iniciar una llamada, presione este botón cuando ingresa el número con el teclado. Vuelva a presionar este botón para marcar el número.

8. Botón 2 / INT (Introducción)

Mientras se reproduce un disco, presione este botón para oír una muestra o explorar la introducción o los primeros 10 segundos de cada pista del disco. Con esta opción, puede seleccionar rápidamente la(s) pista(s) del disco que usted preera. Cuando reconozca la pista deseada, presione el botón otra vez para cancelar el modo Introducción y escuchar la pista.

9. Botón 3 / RPT (Repetir)

Mientras se está reproduciendo un CD de audio, presione el botón para repetir continuamente la misma pista. Presione el botón otra vez para desactivar la función de repetición. Cuando reproduce un disco con archivos MP3/WMA, presione el botón para seleccionar uno de los modos siguientes: RPT ONE (repite la pista actual), REP DIR (repite las pistas del directorio), y REP OFF (Repetición apagada) que cancela la función de repetición.

OPERACIÓN BÁSICA

Encendido y apagado de la unidad

Presione el botón /MUTE para encender la unidad. El botón se ilumina. Cuando la unidad está encendida, mantenga presionado el botón /MUTE para

apagar la unidad.

Extracción del panel frontal

Presione el botón (Extraer) para desprender el panel frontal extraíble.

Modo ajuste de sonido

El modo de ajuste de sonido le permite ajustar fácilmente el sistema de audio móvil para adaptarlo a las características acústicas de su vehículo.

Para ajustar el sonido:

1. Presione la perilla de volumen brevemente pare ingresar al modo de ajuste de sonido. Aparece "VOL" en la pantalla.

2. Vuelva a presionar brevemente la perilla de volumen hasta que la

conguración que desea cambiar aparezca en la pantalla. Las conguraciones cambiarán en el siguiente orden:

3. Gire la perilla de volumen en sentido de las agujas del reloj o en sentido

• VOL - Disminuye o aumenta el volumen.

• BAS - Disminuye o aumenta el nivel de sonido de la frecuencia grave.

• TRB - Reduce o aumenta el nivel de sonido de la frecuencia aguda.

• BAL - Equilibra los niveles de salida del audio entre el lado izquierdo y derecho

del vehículo.

• FAD - Equilibra los niveles de salida del audio entre la parte delantera y trasera

del vehículo.

• LOUD - Modica automáticamente la curva de respuesta de frecuencia del audio

para que el sonido se escuche más natural cuando el volumen es menor.

Conguraciones del sistema

Si utiliza un sistema de audio móvil por primera vez, le recomendamos que congure el sistema de acuerdo a sus preferencias personales.

Para congurar el sistema según las preferencias personales:

1. Mantenga presionada la perilla de volumen para ingresar al modo de conguración del sistema. Aparece "BEEP ON" (Señal acústica encendida) o "BEEP OFF" (Señal acústica apagada) en la pantalla.

2. Vuelva a presionar brevemente la perilla de volumen hasta que la

conguración del sistema que desea cambiar aparezca en la pantalla. Las conguraciones del sistema se enumeran a continuación.

3. Gire la perilla de volumen para cambiar la conguración del sistema

correspondiente. La pantalla volverá a la indicación normal en 5 segundos y las nuevas conguraciones del sistema quedan grabadas.

Conguraciones del sistema:

Se accede a las conguraciones del sistema en el siguiente orden:

1. BEEP ON/OFF Una señal acústica conrma cada selección de funciones. Gire la perilla de volumen para encender (ON) o apagar (OFF) el sonido de la señal acústica.

2. P-VOL (Volumen de encendido programable)

Esta conguración permite que el usuario seleccione un volumen de encendido independientemente de la conguración del volumen antes de apagar la unidad. Para programar un nivel de volumen de encendido especíco, gire la perilla de volumen hasta alcanzar el nivel de encendido deseado.

3. ZONA SAM/EUR/USA/

Gire la perilla de volumen para seleccionar la región del sintonizador: SAM (América del Sur), EUR (Europa) o USA (EE.UU.).

4. HOUR 12H/24H (Conguración del reloj)

Gire la perilla de volumen para cambiar el formato de la hora. Puede congurar la hora después de seleccionar el formato.

• HOUR 12H - El reloj muestra la hora en un formato de 12 horas, utilizando

AM (mañana) y PM (tarde).

• HOUR 24H - El reloj muestra la hora en un formato de 24 horas (0:00 a 23:59).

Para congurar la hora:

a. Gire la perilla de volumen para cambiar la hora. b. Presione la perilla de volumen. c. Gire la perilla de volumen para cambiar los minutos. La pantalla volverá a la

indicación normal en 5 segundos y la hora queda grabada.

5. PCLK ON/OFF (Reloj del reproductor encendido/apagado)

Gire la perilla de volumen para encender o apagar el modo PCLK.

• PCLK ON - El reloj se visualiza en la pantalla cuando la unidad está apagada.

• PCLK OFF - El reloj no se visualiza en la pantalla cuando la unidad está apagada.

6. TA SEEK/ALARM (Búsqueda/aviso de mensajes de tráco)

Gire la perilla de volumen para seleccionar TA SEEK o TA ALARM.

• TA SEEK: Cuando la función de mensaje de tráco está activada, la unidad

busca una emisora que transmita avisos del tráco.

• TA ALARM: No se realiza una búsqueda automática de emisoras. La unidad

emite una señal acústica si no recibe información sobre el tráco y aparece "NO TP/TA" (Sin mensajes de tráco) en la pantalla. Aparece "SEEK PI" (Buscar información en pantalla) si la emisora seleccionada no transmite una señal RDS.

7. TA VOL

Gire la perilla de volumen para ajustar el volumen de los mensajes de tráco.

Intensidad sonora

La intensidad sonora modica automáticamente la curva de respuesta de frecuencia del audio para que el sonido se escuche más natural cuando el volumen es menor.

Para activar o desactivar la intensidad sonora:

1. Presione la perilla de volumen brevemente para ingresar al modo de ajuste de sonido.

2. Vuelva a presionar brevemente la perilla de volumen hasta seleccionar LOUD

(Intensidad sonora).

3. Gire la perilla de volumen en sentido de las agujas del reloj o en sentido

contrario para activar o desactivar la intensidad sonora.

Cambio de la información en la pantalla

Presione el botón DISP para cambiar la información que se muestra en la pantalla. La unidad mostrará la información de la frecuencia AM/FM, la hora, la información del tipo de programa (si la radio está sintonizada en frecuencias FM) o la información de la pista (al reproducir MP3).

Conguración del reloj

1. Mantenga presionada la perilla de volumen para ingresar al modo de

conguración del sistema.

2. Vuelva a presionar brevemente la perilla de volumen hasta que "HOUR 12H" o

"HOUR 24 H" aparezca en la pantalla.

3. Gire la perilla de volumen para seleccionar el formato de 12 o 24 horas.

4. Presione la perilla de volumen. La hora parpadea.

5. Gire la perilla de volumen para cambiar la hora.

6. Presione la perilla de volumen. Los minutos parpadean.

7. Gire la perilla de volumen para cambiar los minutos. La pantalla volverá a la

indicación normal en 5 segundos y la hora queda grabada.

Conguraciones preseleccionadas del ecualizador

La función preseleccionada del ecualizador se aplica al nivel de sonido preseleccionado de la señal de salida del audio de la unidad de acuerdo con el tipo de música que se está reproduciendo.

Para seleccionar una conguración preseleccionada del ecualizador:

1. Presione brevemente el botón EQ para activar la función de ecualización.

2. Vuelva a presionar brevemente el botón EQ para seleccionar la denición del

ecualizador deseada. Las conguraciones del ecualizador cambiarán en el siguiente orden: FLAT (Neutro) CLASSICS (Clásico) POP ROCK

DSP OFF (Pantalla apagada)

Silenciar

Presione brevemente el botón /MUTE para silenciar inmediatamente el sonido. Vuélvalo a presionar para reanudar el sonido. También se cancela la función de silencio al ajustar la perilla de volumen.

Entrada auxiliar

Abra la cubierta de entrada auxiliar para acceder al enchufe de la entrada auxiliar. Se puede conectar un dispositivo externo a la unidad usando el conector auxiliar.

Función "Restablecer valores de fábrica"

La función para restablecer valores de fábrica hace que la unidad regrese a los valores predeterminados en fábrica. Reinicie el sistema por los siguientes motivos:

• Instalación inicial de la unidad, después de haber conectado todos los cables.

• No funciona ninguno de los botones.

• La pantalla muestra un símbolo de error.

Para reiniciar el sistema:

1. Quite el panel frontal para acceder al botón RESET (Reinicio).

2. Utilice la punta de una lapicera o un objeto metálico loso para presionar el

botón RESET. Se restablecen los valores de fábrica.

Nota: Si presiona el botón de reset (reinicio) y la unidad sigue sin funcionar, use un

hisopo de algodón empapado en alcohol isopropílico para limpiar el conector de clavijas múltiples del panel frontal.

Cambio al modo de radio

Presione brevemente el botón de MODE (Modo) para seleccionar el modo de radio. La frecuencia de la radio aparece en la pantalla junto con la banda de la memoria de frecuencia (F1, F2, F3 o AM).

Selección de la banda de frecuencia

En el modo de radio, pulse brevemente el botón BAND (Banda) para seleccionar la banda de frecuencia deseada. La banda de recepción cambiará en el siguiente orden:

Selección de una emisora

Modo de sintonización automática

Presione brevemente el botón o el botón para activar la función de búsqueda automática. Aparecerá "SEARCH" (Búsqueda) en la pantalla y la radio sintonizará la emisora anterior o siguiente, respectivamente.

Modo de sintonización manual

1. Mantenga presionado el botón o el botón hasta que aparezca “MANUAL” en la pantalla.

2. Sintonice la emisora deseada. Mantenga presionado el botón o el botón

hasta sintonizar la emisora deseada.

Nota: Si no presiona ninguno de los botones durante varios segundos, la radio

volverá al modo de sintonización automática y la palabra "AUTO" (Automática) aparece en la pantalla.

Conguración de emisoras en lugares preseleccionados de la memoria

La unidad tiene cuatro bandas de memoria: tres bandas FM (FM1, FM2 y FM3) y una banda AM (AM1). Cada una de las cuatro bandas puede almacenar hasta seis emisoras preseleccionadas, es decir, un total de 24 emisoras preseleccionadas en la memoria.

Para congurar manualmente cualquiera de las 6 memorias preseleccionadas de cada banda:

1. Encienda la radio y seleccione la banda deseada.

2. Seleccione la primera emisora que desea preseleccionar. a. Mantenga presionado el botón o el botón hasta que aparezca

“MANUAL” en la pantalla.

b. Sintonice la emisora deseada. Mantenga presionado el botón o el botón

hasta sintonizar la emisora deseada.

c. Presione el botón de preselección que desea congurar (del botón 1 a 6

en el panel frontal) y continúe presionándolo durante aproximadamente 2 segundos. El número preseleccionado aparecerá en la esquina inferior derecha de la pantalla y se oirá una única señal acústica, que indica que la emisora se encuentra congurada en esa posición preseleccionada de la memoria. A partir de ahora podrá sintonizar esta emisora en cualquier momento con sólo presionar este botón.

3. Repita el procedimiento anterior para las 5 memorias restantes de emisoras

preseleccionadas en esta banda y en las otras 3 bandas de la unidad.

Almacenamiento automático en memoria

La función de almacenamiento automático en memoria es más útil cuando viaja por una zona en la que no se conocen las emisoras de radio locales. La función Auto-Store Tuning (Sintonización con almacenamiento automático en memoria) automáticamente explorará y almacenará hasta dieciocho emisoras de radio con buena señal FM en los lugares preseleccionados de la memoria para FM1, FM2 y FM3 y seis emisoras de radio con buena señal en los lugares preseleccionados de la memoria para la banda AM. Cada banda almacena hasta seis emisoras preseleccionadas.

Mantenga presionado el botón BAND durante varios minutos. Aparece "SEARCH" (Búsqueda) en la pantalla. La radio busca desde la frecuencia actual y comprueba la potencia de la señal hasta haber completado un ciclo. La unidad almacenará las 6 emisoras de cada banda, cuya señal de emisión sea más potente, en los botones numerados correspondientes a emisoras preseleccionadas.

Nota: Si usted ya conguró las memorias preseleccionadas con sus emisoras de

radio favoritas, estas emisoras se borrarán y se almacenarán las nuevas emisoras de radio con buena señal al activar la función de almacenamiento automático.

El sistema Radio Data System (RDS) transmite datos digitales en simultáneo con la señal de audio de la radio FM. Si bien RDS es una norma europea, también se utiliza en EE.UU., donde se denomina Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS). La norma RDS permite recibir informes de tráco y ofrece muchas prestaciones, entre ellas, la visualización en la pantalla del nombre de la emisora de radio y la información del programa.

Usar el tipo de programa (PTY) para seleccionar programas:

1. Presione el botón PTY una vez para seleccionar el grupo PTY.

2. Gire la perilla de volumen para seleccionar el programa PTY.

3. Presione el botón o el botón para realizar la búsqueda. Aparece "PTY

SEEK" (Búsqueda de tipo de programa) en la pantalla. La unidad busca las emisoras correspondientes y se detiene al encontrar una.

Nota: Aparece "PTY-NONE" (Ningún tipo de programa) en la pantalla si no se encuentra una emisora.

4. Con la función PTY activada, presione el botón PTY nuevamente para cancelar

la función PTY.

Para escuchar los mensajes de tráco:

1. Mantenga presionado el botón EQ. Aparecen "TA" y "SEARCH" (Búsqueda) en la pantalla. La unidad buscará automáticamente los mensajes de tráco. El modo inicial de operación se restablecerá al nalizar el mensaje de tráco.

2. Mantenga presionado el botón EQ nuevamente para salir del modo TA.

OPERACIÓN DE CD/MP3/WMA

Colocación de un disco

Si no hay un disco de CD/MP3/WMA en el reproductor de CD:

Introduzca suavemente el disco con la cara de la etiqueta hacia arriba, en la ranura de inserción de discos, hasta que note cierta resistencia. El disco será arrastrado automáticamente hacia el interior del reproductor. "READING CDP PLAY" (Leyendo reproducción de CD) aparece en la pantalla cuando comienza la reproducción del disco. Aparece el ícono del CD , lo que indica que el disco está colocado en la unidad.

Cambio al modo de CD

Si ya hay un disco de CD/MP3/WMA insertado en el reproductor de CD:

Presione el botón MODE (Modo) hasta que aparezca "READING CDP PLAY" (Leyendo reproducción de CD del reproductor) en la pantalla. Se reinicia la reproducción del disco.

Selección de una pista

Presione el botón para reproducir la pista anterior o el botón para reproducir la próxima pista. El número de pista se muestra en la pantalla.

Mantenga presionado el botón para retroceder rápidamente la reproducción o el botón para avanzarla rápidamente. La unidad reinicia la reproducción del disco al soltar el botón.

Pausa o reinicio de la reproducción

Presione el botón para poner en pausa la reproducción. Aparece “S-PAUSE” (Seleccionar pausa) en la pantalla.

Presione nuevamente el botón para reanudar la reproducción del disco.

Introducción de una pista

Durante la reproducción del disco, presione el botón INT para reproducir los primeros 10 segundos de cada pista del disco. Aparece "S-INT" (Seleccionar introducción) y el número de pista en la pantalla. Cuando llegue a la pista deseada, presione el botón INT para escuchar la pista.

Cuando reproduzca un disco con archivos MP3/WMA, mantenga presionado el botón INT para reproducir los primeros 10 segundos de cada pista perteneciente al directorio actual. Aparece "D-INT" (Introducción directorio) y el número de pista en la pantalla. Cuando llegue a la pista deseada, presione el botón INT para escuchar la pista.

Repetición de una pista

Presione el botón RPT para repetir continuamente la misma pista. Aparecerá "S-RPT" (Seleccionar repetición) y el número de pista en la pantalla. Vuelva a presionar el botón RPT para cancelar la función de repetición.

Cuando reproduzca un disco con archivos MP3/WMA, mantenga presionado el botón RPT para repetir todas las pistas pertenecientes al directorio actual. Aparecerá "D-RPT" (Repetir directorio) y el número de pista en la pantalla. Vuelva a presionar el botón RPT para cancelar la función de repetición.

Reproducción aleatoria de pistas

Presione el botón RDM para reproducir todas las pistas de un CD en orden aleatorio. Aparece "S-RDM" (Seleccionar aleatorio) y el número de pista en la pantalla. Vuelva a presionar el botón RDM para cancelar la función de reproducción aleatoria.

Cuando reproduzca un disco con archivos MP3/WMA, mantenga presionado el botón RDM para reproducir todas las pistas pertenecientes al directorio actual en orden aleatorio. Aparece "D-RDM" (Directorio aleatorio) y el número de pista en la pantalla. Vuelva a presionar el botón RDM para cancelar la función de reproducción aleatoria.

Cuando la función de reproducción aleatoria está activada, presione los botones

o de selección de pistas para seleccionar las pistas en orden aleatorio en

lugar de la progresión normal.

Expulsión de un disco

Presione el botón para detener la reproducción del disco y expulsarlo por la ranura de inserción de discos. La unidad automáticamente cambiará al modo de radio después de haber expulsado el disco y que este haya sido extraído.

Si el disco no se extrae de la ranura en 10 segundos, volverá a ingresar automáticamente.

Sistema electrónico de protección contra golpes

La unidad está equipada con un sistema electrónico de protección contra golpes (ESP). Esta función permite al reproductor de CD anticiparse aproximadamente 10 segundos con respecto a la posición de reproducción actual. Como resultado de ello, si se encuentra con un bache pronunciado en la carretera mientras el reproductor está funcionando, no se interrumpirá la pista actual ni se producirá un salto en la reproducción.

Funciones especiales para los discos con archivos MP3/ WMA

Selección de un directorio

La unidad accede a los archivos y a las carpetas en el orden en que fueron escritas por el grabador de CD cuando se los selecciona para su reproducción. De este modo, es posible que el orden de reproducción esperado no coincida con el orden de reproducción real.

Presione el botón DIR- para seleccionar la jerarquía de carpetas en dirección descendente o el botón DIR+ para seleccionar la jerarquía de carpetas en dirección ascendente. Si el disco con archivos MP3/WMA no contiene ninguna carpeta, los botones DIR- y DIR+ no funcionan.

Este proceso también se conoce con el nombre de “cierre de sesión” en algunos programas de software para la grabación de discos CD-R/CD-RW. - Utilice discos CD-R con velocidad de 1x a 8x y escríbalos con una velocidad de 1x a 2x.

- No reproduzca un disco CD-RW que haya sido escrito más de 5 veces.

Para buscar por pistas directamente:

1. Presione el botón BAND una vez.

Para buscar por directorio o nombre de archivo:

5. Presione el botón del volumen para conrmar. Si el título seleccionado es una

canción, la unidad comenzará a reproducirla. Si el título seleccionado es un directorio, repita los pasos 4 y 5 para seleccionar una canción.

Para buscar un archivo o directorio desde el directorio actual:

1. Presione el botón BAND cuatro veces.

2. Gire la perilla de volumen para seleccionar la canción que desea.

3. Presione la perilla de volumen para conrmar la canción.

Visualización de la información de la pista

Presione el botón DISP para visualizar la siguiente información en la pantalla: hora, información de la ETIQUETA ID3 si estuviera disponible (título de la canción, nombre del directorio, nombre del artista, etc.) y el número de pista.

Operación con iPod®/iPhone®

Se puede conectar un iPod o iPhone a la unidad a través de la interfaz USB en el panel frontal. Una vez conectado, si la unidad está funcionando en otro modo, presione el botón MODE (Modo) para seleccionar el modo iPod.

Selección de una categoría

1. Al visualizar iPod o iPhone en la pantalla, presione el botón BAND (iPod-

MENU) (Menú de iPod). La pantalla mostrará la categoría.

2. Gire la perilla de volumen para cambiar la categoría de la siguiente manera:

2. Gire la perilla de volumen para cambiar el título de la pista a la pista siguiente

o anterior.

3. Presione el botón del volumen para reproducir la pista seleccionada.

Pausa de la reproducción

Al reproducir una pista, presione el botón para poner en pausa la reproducción. Vuelva a presionar el botón para reanudar la reproducción.

Repetición de una pista

Al reproducir una pista, presione el botón RPT brevemente para repetir la pista actual. Vuelva a presionar el botón RPT para cancelar la función de repetición.

Reproducción aleatoria de pistas

Cuando reproduzca una pista, presione el botón RDM para reproducir todas las pistas pertenecientes a la categoría actual en orden aleatorio. Aparecerá RDM en la pantalla. Vuelva a presionar el botón RDM para cancelar la función.

Presione el botón RDM durante dos segundos para reproducir todas las pistas de un álbum.

En el modo Canción o Álbum al azar, vuelva a presionar el botón RDM para salir del modo al azar.

Selección de una pista hacia arriba/abajo

Al reproducir una pista, presione el botón o el botón para reproducir la pista anterior o siguiente en la categoría actual. No se puede ingresar en la siguiente categoría.

Al reproducir una pista por más de 1 segundo, presione el botón para reproducir la pista actual desde el comienzo de la pista.

Al reproducir una pista por menos de 1 segundo, presione el botón para reproducir la pista anterior.

Al reproducir una pista, mantenga presionado el botón o el botón durante varios segundos para reproducir la pista avanzando o retrocediendo rápidamente. Suelte el botón para reanudar la reproducción normal.

OPERACIÓN DEL DISPOSITIVO INALÁMBRICO DE BLUETOOTH®

Los productos inalámbricos con tecnología Bluetooth tienen la capacidad de sincronizar y transferir datos entre dispositivos de modo inalámbrico. Las capacidades de audio de un dispositivo de Bluetooth pueden usarse para aplicaciones manos libres de teléfonos móviles. La tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth tiene muchos perles y la unidad es compatible con la mayoría de los teléfonos móviles con tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth.

Antes de intentar usar las funciones Bluetooth en la unidad, asegúrese de que su teléfono móvil sea compatible con las funciones Bluetooth. Respete las siguientes pautas:

• Antes de usar las funciones Bluetooth, debe conectar su teléfono móvil con la unidad principal MP1514BT.

• La distancia de la línea visual entre la unidad y su teléfono móvil debe ser de 3 metros (9 pies) o menos para enviar y recibir voz y datos a través de la tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth.

• Mantenga siempre una vía despejada entre su teléfono móvil y la unidad. Nunca coloque un objeto de metal o algún obstáculo entre el teléfono móvil y la unidad.

• Antes de aceptar o realizar una llamada, asegúrese de que la "función Bluetooth" de su teléfono móvil esté activada.

• Para garantizar la mejor calidad de conversación/funcionamiento, permanezca dentro de una distancia de un metro del micrófono al hablar.

Asociación del teléfono móvil

Antes de usar las funciones Bluetooth, debe asociar su teléfono móvil y la unidad. La asociación de dispositivos es un proceso especial que se utiliza cuando dos dispositivos se conectan por primera vez. El proceso de asociación se utiliza para generar un enlace clave para la autenticación de futuras conexiones de tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth entre dispositivos.

Su teléfono móvil puede iniciar una búsqueda de nuevos dispositivos y asociarse a la unidad.

Para asociar un teléfono móvil a la unidad:

Nota: Los siguientes procedimientos son genéricos. Los procedimientos de

asociación dieren ligeramente de un fabricante de teléfonos móviles a otro.

1. Para ingresar al modo de asociación, presione el botón MODE/PAIR (Modo/

Asociar) hasta que aparezca "PAIRING" (Asociando) en la pantalla.

2. Acceda a la función Bluetooth del teléfono móvil y actívela. (Consulte el manual

de instrucciones del teléfono móvil para ingresar a la conguración de la función Bluetooth, activar/desactivar la función Bluetooth, y luego asociar los dispositivos).

3. Utilice la función agregar un nuevo dispositivo de su teléfono móvil. Aparece

“CARBT_JENSEN” en la lista de su teléfono móvil.

4. Seleccione “CARBT_JENSEN”. La unidad tiene una función de asociación

automática. Buscará el teléfono móvil con Bluetooth y lo asociará automáticamente. Debería aparecer una indicación para asociarse o vincularse en la pantalla de su teléfono móvil. Acepte la solicitud e inicie el proceso.

NOTA: Algunos teléfonos móviles requieren un código de asociación o “contraseña”

para conectarse. Si su teléfono requiere una contraseña o un código de asociación, deberá ingresar este número. El código de asociación por defecto de la unidad es "0000".

5. En este punto debería aparecer un mensaje que indique que la asociación se ha

realizado con éxito. Debería aparecer otra indicación en la que se le pregunte si desea conectarse a la unidad, Yes (Sí) o No. Presione Yes. El teléfono móvil y la unidad se deberían conectar. El teléfono móvil debería mostrar un mensaje similar a "Dispositivo conectado". El teléfono móvil y la unidad están conectados. Cuando los dispositivos se asociaron exitosamente, “BT AUDIO” y el símbolo de Bluetooth

aparecen en la pantalla.

Nota: Si la asociación falla, vuelva a intentar en algunos segundos. Consulte el

manual de instrucciones del teléfono móvil. Elimine el dispositivo que encontró recientemente y vuelva a realizar la asociación.

Nota: Durante el proceso de asociación, únicamente los botones (extraer),

subir/bajar volumen / y MUTE funcionan. Los otros botones están deshabilitados durante el modo de asociación.

Nota: Si desea salir del modo de asociación, presione el botón MODE/PAIR hasta

que aparezca "PAIR END" (Asociación nalizada) en la pantalla.

Reconexión automática

Esta unidad tiene una función de reconexión automática incorporada. En algunas condiciones, la unidad se reconectará automáticamente con el teléfono móvil (nota: el teléfono móvil debe estar previamente asociado a la unidad).

Antes de marcar, debe conrmar que el símbolo de Bluetooth aparezca en la pantalla dentro de los diez segundos después de:

• Apagar la unidad y volver a encenderla.

• Desconectar el cable ACC y volver a conectarlo.

• Presionar el botón (extraer) para extraer el panel frontal y volver a colocarlo.

Si presiona el botón , puede aparecer ‘NOT PAIR’ (No asociado) en la pantalla. Puede esperar varios segundos para permitir que la unidad se reconecte automáticamente o presionar y mantener presionado el botón CONNECT (Conectar) durante varios segundos para reconectarse. Durante la reconexión, la pantalla mostrará "CONN TRY" (Intento de conexión) varias veces y luego mostrará "CONN OK" (Conexión realizada) si logró conectarse exitosamente.

Visualizar el menú del teléfono

1. Al nalizar exitosamente el proceso de asociación de dispositivos, mantenga

presionado el botón DISP del panel frontal para ingresar al menú del teléfono.

2. Mantenga presionado el botón DISP o presione los botones o para

seleccionar los elementos del menú. Los elementos del menú se mostrarán en la siguiente secuencia: RECEIVED (Llamadas recibidas) DIALED (Llamadas realizadas) MISSED (Llamadas perdidas) MANU ANS (Contestación manual) TALK XX (Hablar XX).

Los elementos del menú del teléfono son:

• RECEIVED (Llamadas recibidas): Muestra las llamadas que recibe. Gire o presione la perilla de volumen para leer rápidamente los números de las últimas llamadas recibidas. Presione el botón para marcar el número.

• MANU ANS/AUTO ANS (Contestación manual/Contestación automática): Estando en este modo, gire o presione la perilla de volumen para seleccionar MANU ANS (contestación manual) o AUTO ANS (contestación automática). Modo AUTO ANS: La unidad contestará automáticamente una llamada entrante. Modo MANU ANS: Presione el botón para contestar una llamada entrante, o presione el botón para rechazar la llamada entrante.

• TALK XX (Hablar XX) (Volumen de llamada): Muestra el nivel actual del volumen. Gire el botón del volumen para ajustar el nivel.

Gestionar llamadas entrantes

Contestar una llamada entrante

1. Mantenga presionado el botón DISP en el panel frontal para ingresar al menú

del teléfono.

2. Presione el botón DISP y seleccione MANU ANS.

3. Gire la perilla de volumen para seleccionar el modo MANU ANS (contestación

manual) o AUTO ANS (contestación automática). En el modo AUTO ANS, la unidad contestará automáticamente una llamada entrante. En el modo MANU ANS, presione el botón para contestar una llamada entrante.

Rechazar una llamada entrante

En el modo MANU ANS, presione el botón para rechazar una llamada entrante.

Realizar llamadas

Las llamadas se pueden realizar de dos maneras: llamando a un número de la lista de llamadas recibidas, realizadas o perdidas, o marcando directamente utilizando el control remoto.

Para realizar una llamada utilizando las listas de llamadas recibidas, realizadas o perdidas:

1. Mantenga presionado el botón DISP en el panel frontal para ingresar al menú

del teléfono.

2. Vuelva a presionar el botón DISP para acceder a los elementos del menú

“RECEIVED”, “DIALED” o “MISSED”.

3. Gire la perilla de volumen para seleccionar un número de teléfono.

4. Presione el botón para marcar el número.

Para marcar directamente utilizando el control remoto:

1. Presione el botón del control remoto. Aparece “DIAL” (Marcar) en la pantalla.

2. Utilice los botones 0 a 9, *, y # para ingresar el número de teléfono que desee

marcar.

3. Vuelva a presionar el botón para marcar el número. Aparece “CALLING”

(Llamando) en la pantalla.

Nota: Si escribe un número equivocado, presione el botón /BAND para borrarlo.

Mantenga presionado el botón /BAND para borrar todos los números.

4. Para volver a marcar un número:

a. Presione el botón dos veces. Aparece “LAST NUM” (Último número) en

la pantalla.

b. Vuelva a presionar el botón para marcar nuevamente el último número

que llamó.

Retener una llamada

Mientras está hablando, presione el botón para interrumpir temporariamente la llamada. Vuelva a presionar el botón para continuar con la llamada.

Nota: Su teléfono móvil debe soportar esta función. Consulte el manual de

instrucciones de su teléfono móvil.

Transferir una llamada

Mientras está hablando, mantenga presionado el botón para transferir la llamada entre el teléfono móvil y la unidad.

Nota: Si transere una llamada al teléfono móvil, la función de silencio se cancela y

la unidad regresará al modo en la que estaba antes de la llamada.

Función de música con tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth

Los productos inalámbricos con tecnología Bluetooth incluyen un perl Advanced Audio Distribution Prole (A2DP) para hacer que la música se escuche ya sea desde un teléfono móvil o de un reproductor multimedia portátil (RMP), algunas veces llamado reproductor de MP3. La unidad le permite volver a reproducir archivos de audio de su teléfono móvil o reproductor multimedia portátil utilizando una conexión con tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth.

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS

Antes de consultar la lista de problemas, compruebe las conexiones de los cables. Si el problema persiste después de haber consultado la lista, póngase en contacto con el distribuidor de servicio más cercano.

Problema Causa Solución

No hay alimentación eléctrica.

• El contacto del vehículo no está encendido.

• El fusible está fundido.

• Si el suministro de alimentación eléctrica está conectado a los circuitos para accesorios del vehículo, pero el motor no está encendido, gire la llave de contacto a la posición “ACC”.

• Reemplace el fusible. Asegúrese de que el amperaje coincida con el valor especicado.

No se puede cargar o expulsar del disco.

• Hay un disco cargado en el reproductor.

• Los tornillos de transporte están colocados.

• Saque el disco del reproductor e inserte uno nuevo.

• Saque los dos tornillos de transporte de la parte superior de la unidad.

El disco no funciona.

• El disco está insertado en posición incorrecta.

• El disco utilizado es incompatible.

• El disco está deformado o rayado.

• El disco compacto está extremadamente sucio o deformado.

• El lector láser está sucio.

• La temperatura en el interior del vehículo es demasiado alta.

• Condensación.

• Inserte el disco compacto con el lado de la etiqueta hacia arriba.

• Utilice un disco compatible.

• Utilice un disco en buenas condiciones.

• Limpie el disco con un paño suave o trate de reproducir otro disco.

• Limpie el lector láser con un disco limpiador.

• Baje la temperatura hasta alcanzar un nivel normal.

• Apague el reproductor durante una hora y vuelva a intentarlo.

No hay sonido.

• El volumen está al nivel mínimo.

• Los cables no están correctamente conectados.

• Ajuste el volumen al nivel deseado.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO

1. Utilice únicamente un paño siliconado limpio y detergente neutro para limpiar el panel frontal. Si utiliza un paño áspero y detergente que no sea neutro (por ejemplo, alcohol) puede rayar o descolorar la supercie.

2. No utilice agua o líquidos limpiadores en la unidad.

3. Introduzca únicamente discos compactos de 12 cm (5”) en el reproductor. Los

objetos extraños pueden dañar el mecanismo.

4. No intente usar discos compactos de 8 cm (3") en esta unidad, ya sea con o

sin adaptador, puesto que se podrían producir daños tanto en el reproductor como en el disco. La garantía de este producto no cubre tales daños.

5. Es posible que el reproductor de CD no funcione correctamente en condiciones

extremas de calor o frío. En tales circunstancias, permita que el interior del vehículo alcance una temperatura normal antes de utilizar el reproductor.

6. Es posible que la pantalla se condense al calentar el vehículo cuando hace frío

o hay humedad. En tal caso, la pantalla no funcionará correctamente hasta que la humedad se evapore.

7. Sugerimos que utilice un disco limpiador en la unidad más frecuentemente de

lo que puede utilizarlo en un reproductor hogareño debido a las condiciones ambientales del vehículo.
