Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your Jensen Flexi adjustable bed.
We hope that it gives you many years of comfortable days and nights.
We recommend that you study this manual closely before you start
assembly/installation.
Guarantee
If used normally, your Jensen Flexi is guaranteed for 5 years. The
invoice on which the date of purchase is stated serves as a certificate
of guarantee. In the event of any faults or malfunctions, please contact
the store from which you purchased the bed.

Using the remote control
The remote control is used to adjust the bed’s
movements.
Summary of remote control functions:
1. Raise head end
2. Lower head end
3. Raise foot end
4. Lower foot end
5. Raise head and foot end simultaneously

Assembly / Getting started
First of all you should check whether all the parts
have been supplied by referring to the summary on
the folder’s left-hand page.
1. Fit the legs into the corner attachments on the
frame and place the bed on its feet (see illustra
tions 1a and 1b).
2. Assemble the side brackets using two screws
at approx. 75 cm from the head end, measured
on the inside of the frame (see illustration 2).
If two frames are to be fitted together to create a
double bed there is no need to fit any brackets
between the two beds.
3. Place the Flexi in the frame. N.B.!! Do not
remove the red tape holding the frame together
but do remove the tape around the motor (see
illustration 3).
4. Hook the end stop to the frame and tip it up until it
is perpendicular (see illustrations 4a and 4b).
Fasten with screws.
5. Remove the red tape that is holding the frame
together.
6. Place the mattress and the topper on the
frame.
7. Then insert the plug into the socket. Read the
instructions for using the remote control and
simply start using the bed.
Degree of hardness
The degree of hardness of the middle section of the bed can
be adjusted. Moving the plastic rings around the double strips
towards the middle makes the base of the bed softer and moving
them to the edge does the reverse.
Solving malfunctions yourself
If the motor does not work, check whether the plug has been
inserted correctly into the socket and whether power is actually
being supplied to the socket. In order to reset the electronic functions, press the green button on the plug. You should also check
whether the cabled plug of the remote control is fitted properly to
the motor.
Do not open the motors or the remote control yourself. The manufacturer accepts no liability if this has been done by anyone who
is not an authorised service technician. New cables, motors and
remote controls should be ordered from the manufacturer.
Strange noises
A mechanical and electrically adjustable bed generates noise. In
most instances, the amount of noise that the bed makes depends
on the acoustics of the room in which the bed is situated.
Usage
The bed’s lifting motors are not designed for continuous usage.
The bed will only continue to be reliable and operate normally if
the motors do not work for longer than 2 minutes during a 15 minute period. Any attempt to exceed this degree of usage will reduce
the life of the product and may render the guarantee invalid.
The bed has been constructed in such a way that it can bear a
maximum weight of 150 kg, distributed equally between the head
end and the foot end. Any attempt to exceed this degree of usage
will damage the product and may render the guarantee invalid.
Important: do not sit on the head or foot end of the bed if raised.

Wir raten Ihnen, diese Gebrauchsanleitung vor der Montage/Installation sorgfältig zu lesen.
Garantie
Bei normalem Gebrauch gewähren wir 5 Jahre Garantie auf Ihr Jensen
Flexi Bett. Der Kassenbon mit dem Kaufdatum dient als
Garantieschein. Bei eventuellen Mängeln oder Störungen wenden Sie
sich bitte an das Geschäft, in dem Sie das Bett gekauft haben.

Umgang mit der Fernbedienung
Die Bewegungen des Bettes werden mit Hilfe der Fernbedienung gesteuert.
Übersicht der Fernbedienungsfunktionen:
1. Kopfende nach oben
2. Kopfende nach unten
3. Fußende nach oben
4. Fußende nach unten
5. Kopf- und Fußende gleichzeitig nach oben
6. Kopf- und Fußende gleichzeitig nach unten
Montage / Erste Schritte
Kontrollieren Sie zunächst, ob alle Teile mitgeliefert
wurden. Siehe hierfür die Übersicht auf der linken Seite
der Broschüre.
1. Befestigen Sie die Füße an den Eckbeschlägen
auf dem Rahmen und stellen Sie das Bett auf die
Füße (siehe Abbildung 1a und 1b).
2. Montieren Sie in ca. 75 cm Abstand zum Kop
fende die Seitenbügel (gemessen von der Innen
seite des Untergestells). Befestigen Sie diese mit
zwei Schrauben (siehe Abbildung 2). Wenn zwei
Untergestelle zu einem Doppelbett montiert werden,
brauchen Sie zwischen den beiden Betten keine
Bügel anzubringen.
3. Legen Sie den Flexi in den Rahmen.
Achtung: Entfernen Sie nicht das rote Klebeband,
mit dem der Rahmen zusammengehalten wird,
sondern nur das Klebeband am Motor
(siehe Abbildung 3).
4. Haken Sie den Endstopfen an den Rahmen und
kippen Sie den Endstopfen nach oben in senk
rechte Position (siehe Abbildung 4a und 4b).
Mit schrauben befestigen.
5. Entfernen Sie das rote Klebeband, das den
Rahmen zusammenhält.
6. Legen Sie die Matratze und die Obermatratze auf
das Untergestell.
7. Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose. Lesen
Sie die Bedienungsanleitung für die Fernbedienung
durch und nehmen Sie das Bett in Gebrauch.
Härtegrad
Der Härtegrad des Bettmittelteils kann eingestellt werden.
Wenn Sie die Kunststoffringe um die Doppellamellen zur Mitte
schieben, wird der Boden des Bettes weicher und wenn Sie
diese zum Rand schieben wird er fester.
Selbsthilfe bei Störungen
Wenn der Motor nicht funktioniert, kontrollieren Sie, ob der
Stecker in der Steckdose steckt und ob Spannung an der
Steckdose anliegt. Zum Zurücksetzen der Elektronik drücken
Sie die grüne Taste auf dem Stecker. Kontrollieren Sie auch, ob
der Kabelstecker der Fernbedienung korrekt im Motor steckt.
Öffnen Sie den Motor und die Fernbedienung auf keinen Fall
selbst. Das ist Sache eines qualifizierten Fachmannes. Der Hersteller übernimmt keinerlei Haftung, wenn dies von Unbefugten
ausgeführt wird. Neue Motoren und neue Fernbedienungen
müssen bei einem anerkannten Lieferanten bestellt werden.
Störende Geräusche
Ein mechanisch und elektrisch verstellbares Bett ist nicht
geräuschlos. Die Geräusche, die das Bett erzeugt, hängen
in den meisten Fällen mit der Akustik in dem jeweiligen Raum
zusammen.
Gebrauch
Die Hubmotoren des Bettes sind nicht für den Dauergebrauch
ausgelegt. Der zuverlässige Gebrauch und eine normale Lebensdauer sind nur gewährleistet, wenn die Motoren innerhalb
von 15 Minuten nicht länger als 2 Minuten in Betrieb sind. Alle
Versuche, diese Höchstlast zu ignorieren oder zu übersteigen,
verkürzen die Lebensdauer des Produkts und führen zum
Erlöschen der Garantie.
Das Bett ist so konstruiert, dass es Personen mit einem Gewicht
von bis zu 150 kg tragen kann, wobei das Gewicht gleichmäßig
vom Kopf- bis zum Fußende verteilt ist. Alle Versuche, diese
Höchstlast zu ignorieren oder zu übersteigen, verkürzen die
Lebensdauer des Produkts und führen zum Erlöschen der Garantie. Wichtiger Hinweis: Setzen Sie sich in keinem Fall auf das
Kopf- oder Fußende des Bettes, wenn es aufgerichtet ist.
