The SOFTWARE-UPGRADEABLE, HDTV-compatible AV1 speaks THX® and THX Ultra2™, DTS-ES® and Neo:6®, and Dolby® DPL, DPL II and EX, not to mention JBL’S EXCLUSIVE LOGIC 7® PROCESSING, which can create discrete multichannel sound from two-channel sources. And with eight analog audio inputs, four coaxial and four optical digital audio inputs, five S-video, five composite and three component video inputs, it plays well with others.

The JBL PERFORMANCE AVA7 seven-channel power amplifier uses forced-air cooling to ensure the highest level of performance, durability and longevity, even under extended high-power-output demands.

Two variable-velocity fans pull cool air from the back of the AVA7 chassis, over the unit’s heatsinks and out the sides.

Continuous tracking of the input signal strength and the amplifier temperature determines optimal airflow, which increases durability and longevity.

Because the AVA7 is vented from the sides, it can be stacked directly on or under the AVA1.
