Este vehículo es para niños desde 6 meses
y hasta 15 kg.
Apto para niños menores de 6 meses
únicamente con accesorios aprobados por
JANÉ.
El dispositivo de estacionamiento debe
activarse al colocar y retirar a los niños del
vehículo.
Cualquier carga fijada al manillar y/o a la
parte trasera del respaldo y/o a los laterales
del vehículo afecta a la estabilidad de éste.
Este vehículo ha sido diseñado para un
único niño, no utilizarlo con más niños a
la vez.
No deben utilizarse accesorios no
aprobados por JANÉ.
Para las sillas de coche usadas junto con
un chasis, este vehículo no reemplaza una
cuna o cama. Si el niño necesita dormir,
debería colocarse en un capazo, una cuna
o una cama adecuados.
Solo deben utilizarse los repuestos
suministrados o recomendados por JANÉ.
La masa máxima permitida de la cestilla
portaobjetos nunca puede superar lo
indicado en la cestilla (4 kg).

1.- MONTAJE Y DESMONTAJE DE LAS RUEDA S
Antes de usar por primera vez la silla EPIC es necesario montar las ruedas traseras. Para montar las ruedas presione el botón central de la misma e introduzca el eje en el por tarruedas
trasera y empuje hasta que note que encaja firmemente.
Si necesita desmontar las ruedas, presione el botón central y
extraiga la misma.
2.- PLEGADO Y DESPLEGADO
Para desplegar su EPIC sujete el manillar con una mano mientras pisa el pedal de bloqueo situado en la parte inferior de -

recha. Tire del manillar y complete el desplegado has ta
que quede bloqueado y oiga un “clack”.
Para plegar su EPIC coloque la hamaca en la posición de plegado (P) (véase AJUSTE DEL ANGULO DEL ASIENTO). A
continuación tire de los dos gatillos laterales y empuje el manillar hacia delante hasta completar el plegado.
Es conveniente que cuando pliegue el cochecito la hamaca
esté mirando hacia el frente, obteniendo así un plegado mu cho más compacto.
ADVERTENCIA : Es imprescindible asegurarse que el niño se
mantiene alejado de la silla durante las acciones de plegado y
despl egado. La aparición de puntos de corte y co mpresión y atra pamientos son inevitables durante estas operaciones.

3.- SISTEMA PRO-FIX
El chasis de su cochecito incluye el sistema PRO-FIX, preparadopara incorporar los siguientes portabebés y Sistemas de Retención infantil: Nano, Transpor ter, Matrix Light y Koos.
El sistema PRO-FIX le facilitará el acople y la extracción de
estos accesorios al chasis, de un modo rápido, fácil y seguro,
quedando éstos anclados al chasis. Para ello siga detenidamente las instrucciones de estos accesorios.
ADVERTENCIA : Es imprescindible desmontar la hamaca del co checito para poder acoplar cualquier accesorio de auto.
4.- MONTAJE Y DESMONTAJE DE LA HAMAC A
Su EPIC está equipado con el sistema pro -fix. Con este sistema,
la hamaquita EPIC puede acoplarse perfectamente al chasis.
Además puede colocar la hamaca mirando hacia usted o
delante, por tratarse de una hamaca reversible.
Para desenganchar la hamaquita, tire simultáneamente de las
palancas de desbloqueo situadas a ambos lados de la propia
hamaquita.

5.- AJUSTE DEL ÁNGULO DE LA HAMAQU ITA
Puede reclinar la hamaca respecto al suelo, para transportar
a su bebé e n la posición más cómoda p osible en cada momento. Tire de la palanca situada en la parte superior de la hamaca y ajuste la inclinación a una de las 3 posiciones posibles.
ATENCIÓN: La posición P es solamente para facilitar el
plegado , no está permitido utilizarla para el transporte
de su bebé.
6.- USO DEL APOYABR AZOS DE SEGURIDAD
El apoyabrazos de seguridad está diseñado para encajar en
los alojamientos dispuestos en la hamaquita.
Si lo desea puede liberar un lado solamente y el apoyabrazos
quedará totalmente articulado por el otro extremo.
Existen unos botones en la parte inferior para este fin.
ATENCIÓN: El niño debe mantenerse alejado de partes
móviles cuando estas e stán siendo manipuladas por el
adulto responsable. La aparición de puntos de corte y
compresión y atrapamientos son inevitables durante estas operaciones.

7.- EMPLEO DE L A CAP OTA
Para asegurar la capota en el marco de la hamaquita, deslíce la desd e arriba hast a los correspo ndientes aloj amientos situ ados en la parte central. Use la cremallera que lleva la capota
para unirla al marco.
Siga el procedimiento a la inversa para liberarla.
8.- AJUSTE DEL MANILLAR
El manillar puede ajustarse en 7 posiciones distintas . Pulse
simúltaneamente los botones situados a ambos lados del

manillar.
9.- CINTURÓN DE SEGURIDAD
Su cochecito dispone de un arnés de seguridad para que su
hijo este seguro en todo momento. Ajuste el cinturón al niño
siempre que use el cochecito.
15a. Para abrir el sistema del cinturón apriete el botón situa-
do en el centro del arnés has ta que salten los adaptadores
del cierre.
15b-c. Para cerrar junte los dos adaptadores laterales y des-
pués introdúzcalos en el arnés hasta escuchar un “click”.
15d. Regule los cinturones de modo que es tén correctamente
ajustados al niño y tensos. Para ajustar la longitud de los cinturones, deslice las hebillas hacia arriba o hacia abajo. Asegúrese que los cinturones no están retorcidos.

10.- AJUSTE DEL REPOSAPIÉS
Puede ajustar el repo sapiés en 5 posiciones. Presione simultáneamente los dos botones con el dedo pulgar situados en la
parte interior de la hamaquita.
11.- USO DEL FRENO DE ESTACIONAMIENTO
FRENAR: Empujar la palanca a la derecha del manillar hacia
abajo para activar el freno de estacionamiento de su silla.
DESFRENAR: Apretar el botón de desbloqueo y mover la palanca a la derecha del manillar hacia arriba para desactivar el
freno de estacionamiento.
Para ajus tar el freno:
En caso de necesitar un ajuste más preciso siga las indicaciones de la figura.
ATENCIÓN: Una vez accionado el freno asegúrese de que
el cochecito ha quedado correctamente frenado. Puede
ser necesario rodar ligeramente el cochecito para que el
freno engrane de manera óptima.

12.- BLOQUEO DE L AS RUEDAS DEL ANTERAS
Para bloquear las ruedas delanteras, gire el botón ubicado
encima de cada portaruedas delantero.
13.- MANTENIMIENTO
No exponga el tapizado al sol durante largos periodos.
Lave la s partes de plá stico con agua te mplada y jabón , secando
posteriormente todos los componentes concienzudamente.
Compruebe regularmente los frenos, arneses y fijaciones que
pudieran sufrir algún daño por el uso.
Recuerde ajustar su freno periódicamente siguiendo el méto do explicado en la figura.
Tanto para su seguridad como para la buena conser vación de
este producto, es importante que haga una revisión periódica
en cualquiera de nuestros talleres oficiales.
14.- PROTECTOR DE LLUVIA
El protector de lluvia de su EPIC es muy sencillo de colocar,
sólo tiene que cubrir la hamaca y ajus tar los enganches al
chasis para sujetarla. Ésta tiene una pequeña ventana que
se puede enrollar y fijar con velcros para que el niño pueda
investigar lo que le rodea con total libertad.

Este ar tículo dispone de garantía según lo estipulado en la ley
23 / 2003 de 10 de julio. Conser var la factura de compra, es
imprescindible su presentación en la tienda dónde adquirió el
producto para justificar su validez ante cualquier reclamación.
Quedan excluídos de la presente garantía aquellos defec tos
o averías producidas por un uso inadecuado del ar tículo o el
incumplimiento de las normas de seguridad y mantenimiento descritas en las hojas de instrucciones y en las etiquetas de
lavado, así como los elementos de desgas te por uso normal y
manejo diario.
La etiqueta que contiene el número de chasis de su modelo no
debe ser arrancada bajo ningún concepto, contiene información importante.

of the vehicle will affect the stability of the
vehicle.

For car seats used in conjunction with a
chassis, this vehicle does not replace a cot
or a bed. Should your child need to sleep,
then it should be placed in a suitable pram
body, cot or bed.
Only replacement parts supplied or recommended by JANÉ shall be used.
The maximum amount carried in the basket
must never exceed the weight indicated on
the basket (4 kg).

1.- FIT TING AND REMOVING THE WHEELS
Before using the EPIC pushchair for the first time it is neces sary to fit the rear wheels. To fit the wheels press the button
on the middle of the wheel and inser t the axle into the rear
wheel bearer and push until it slots firmly into place. If
you need to remove the wheels, press the central button and
take the wheel off.
2.- FOLDING AND UNFOLDING
To unfold your EPIC, hold the handlebar with one hand while
you pres s the locking pedal at the bottom on the right.
Pull the handlebar and unfold until it clicks and locks into

place.
To fold your EPIC place the hammock in the folding position
(P) (see ADJUSTING THE ANGLE OF THE SEAT).
Then pull the two slide catches on the sides and push the
handlebar forwards until the pushchair is completely folded.

When folding the pushchair it is useful to place the hammock
facing forward s as this makes it fold up more compactly.
WARNING: You must make sure that the child is kept away from
the pushchair while it is being folded or unfolded. During these operations the appearance of sharp points and compres sion
areas are inevitable.

3.- PRO -FIX SYSTEM
The chassis of your pushchair is fitted with the PRO -FIX system, making it ready for the followin g baby carriers and child
Restraint Systems to be attached: Nano, Transporter, Matrix
Light and Koos. The PRO- FIX system makes it easier to
attach and remove these accessories to and from the chas sis, se curing them to the chassis in a quick, simple and safe
way. To do this follow the instructions for these accessories
carefully.
WARNING: It is necessary to remove the hammock from the
pushchair to attach any of the auto accessories.
4.- FITTING AND REMOVING THE HAMMOCK
Your EPIC is fit ted with the pro -fix system. With this system,
the EPIC hammock can be at tached perfectly to the chassis.
What’s more, the hammock is reversible so it can be positioned faci ng you or facing for wards. To take the h ammock
off, simultane ously pull the unlocking levers situate d on both
sides of the hammock.

5.- ADJUSTING THE ANGLE OF THE HAMMOCK
The hammock can be reclined so your baby can travel in the
most comfortable position p ossible at all times. Pull the lever
on the upper par t of the hammock and tilt it to one of the 3
possible positions.
WARNING: Position P is only to be used when folding the
pushc hair, you must not u se this positio n when your baby
is in the hammock.

7.- USING THE HOOD
To fasten the hood onto the frame of the hammock, slide it
from the top down to the corresponding slots on the central
part. Use the zip on the hood to attach it to the frame.
Follow the same steps in reverse order to take the hood off.
8.- ADJUSTING THE HANDLEBAR
The handlebar can be set to 7 different positions. Simultaneously press the but tons on both sides of the handlebar.

6.- USI NG THE SAFET Y ARMREST
The safety armrest is designed to fit into the slot s on the
hammock.
If required it is possible to release one side of the armrest and it
will still be completely ar ticulated by the other side. There are
buttons on the lower par t to do this.
WARNING: The child should be kept away from the mobile par ts
when the responsible adult is handling these. The appearance
of cutting, compression and pinch points are inevitable during
these operations.

9.- SEAT BELT
Your pushchair has a safety harness to keep your child safe at
all times. Fit the belt onto the child whenever he is using the
pushchair.
15a. To open the belts, press the button in the middle of the
harness.
15b-c. To fasten it, bring the two side straps together and
then insert them into the harness until they click into place.
15d. Adjust the belts so that they fit the child correctly with
the right tension. To adjust the length of the belts, slide the
buckle s up or down. Make sure that the belts are not twisted.

10.- ADJUSTING THE FOOTREST
The footrest can be adju sted to 5 different positions . Use
your thumb to simultaneou sly press the two buttons on the
lower part of the hammock.

12.- LOC KING THE FRONT WHEELS
To lock the front wheels, turn the but ton found on the top of
each front wheel bearer.

11.- USING THE PARKI NG BRAKE
PUTTING THE BRAKE ON: Push the operating lever on the right
of the handlebar down to activate the parking brake of your

strolle r.
TAKING THE BRAKE OFF: Press the release button and move the
operating lever on the right of the handle bar upward to release
the parking brake.
To adjust the brake:
If you need a more precise adjustment follow the
indications in figure.
WARNING: When the brake is on make sure that the pushchair has braked correctly. It may be ne cessary to pu sh the
pushchair slightly for the brake to be fully activated.

13.- MAINTENANCE
Do not expose the upholstery to the sun fo r prolonged pe riods of time. Wash the plastic parts with soap and warm water,
then dr y all the parts thoroughly.
Regularly check the brakes, harnesses and fastening elements that may suffer wear and tear through use.
Remember to adjust the brake from time to time using the
method explained in figure.
For your safety and the good conservation of this produc t, it
is important to bring it to one of our official workshops for
regular inspections.
14.- RAIN COVER
The rain cover of your EPIC is very easy to fit, simply cover
the hammock and fit the hooks onto the chassis to secure it.
The rain cover has a small window which can be rolled up
and held with Velcro so the child is free to investigate his su rroundings.

This ar ticle comes with a guarantee in accordance with the
provisions of law 23 / 2003 of 10 th July. Keep your receipt as
proof of purchase, it is essential to present the receipt in the
shop where you bought the produc t to confirm validit y of the
guarantee in the event of any problems.
This guarantee excludes any defects or breakages caused by
inappropriate use of the article or inobservance of the safety
and maintenance rules listed in the instruction pages and
on the care labels, as well as faults caused by wear and tear
through normal use and daily handling.
The label displaying the chassis number of the model should
never be taken off, it contains important information.
