WARNING: When using electrical and pneumatic equipment such as this, basic
safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of personal

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT
We strongly recommend that this tool not be modied and /or used for any
application other than that for which it was designed. If you have any questions
relating to its application, do not use the equipment until you have consulted us and

1. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAR of obstructions and well ventilated. Cluttered
areas invite injury.
2. CONSIDER WORK AREA ENVIRONMENT. Don’t use electrical tools in damp
or wet locations. Don’t expose your tool to rain. Keep the work area well lit.
Don’t use tools in the presence of ammable gases or liquids. Atomized uids
like paints and solvents can be highly ammable. Do not spray them near this
equipment.
3. KEEP CHILDREN AND BYSTANDERS AWAY. All children should be kept
away from the work area. Don’t let them handle machines, tools or extensions
cords. Visitors can be a distraction and are difcult to protect from injury.
4. STORE IDLE EQUIPMENT. Store equipment in a dry area to inhibit rust.
Equipment also should be in a high location or locked up to keep out of reach
of children.
5. GUARD AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK. Do not use the compressor without
connection to a properly grounded outlet of the specied voltage and fuse
protection. Grounded tools must be plugged into an outlet that itself is prop-

erly installed and grounded. Grounding provides a low-resistance path to
carry electricity to ground away from the operator, should the tool malfunction
electrically. Do not remove the grounding prong from the plug or alter the plug
in any way. If in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded according to code, check with a qualied electrician. Extension cords must also be
equipped with grounded (three prong) plugs.
6. SAFETY GLASSES To prevent eye injuries, the operator and all persons in the
work area must wear approved safety glasses with permanently attached, rigid
side shields. Always wear safety glasses or goggles when spraying air. Do not
aim or spray air at people or animals. Severe skin damage can result.
EAR PROTECTION Wear ear protection to safeguard against possible
hearing loss.
7. STAY ALERT. Watch what you are doing & use common sense. Don’t operate
any tool when you are tired.
8. DON’T OVERREACH. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not
reach over or across machines which are running.
9. DO NOT ABUSE THE CORD. Never pull on the cord to unplug it. Protect the
cord from potential sources of damage: heat, oil & solvents, sharp edges, or
moving parts. Replace damaged cords immediately.
10. WHEN WORKING OUTDOORS, USE AN OUTDOOR-RATED EXTENSION
CORD. An extension cord rated for outdoor use must be marked “W-A” or “W”.
11. DO NOT EXPOSE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT TO MOISTURE. Rain or wet
conditions can cause water to enter the tool and lead to electric shock.
12. ENSURE THE EXTENSION CORD YOU USE IS OF SUFFICIENT GAUGE
FOR ITS LENGTH.

13. AVOID UNINTENTIONAL STARTING. Be sure the switch is in the OFF
position before plugging in.
14. ALWAYS CHECK AND MAKE SURE TO REMOVE ANY ADJUSTING KEYS
OR WRENCHES before turning the tool on. Left attached, these parts can y
off a rotating part and result in personal injury.

if the tool could accidentally start.
17. MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE. Keep tools clean for better and safer
performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
Keep dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
18. CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS. Make frequent inspections for the correct
function of components and safety mechanism.
19. REPLACEMENT PARTS. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts
and fasteners recommended by us.
20. EMPLOYERS must enforce compliance with the safety warnings and all other
instructions in this manual. Keep it available for use by everyone assigned to
use this equipment.
COMPRESSED AIR CAUTIONS
1. COMPRESSED AIR FROM THIS UNIT MAY CONTAIN CARBON
MONOXIDE. The air produced is neither suitable for breathing nor food
processing without ltering and testing to all applicable legal standards.
2. AIR ONLY: Use this compressor for compressing air only. Do not compress
other gases.
3. BREATHING PROTECTION: Always use a respirator when spraying paint or
chemicals.
5. NEVER USE THIS EQUIPMENT if it is leaking air; has missing or damaged
parts, guards, or shields; or requires repair. Make sure all screws and caps are
securely tightened.
6. DO NOT USE THE AIR HOSE to move the compressor. Release the pressure
in the storage tank before moving.
7. DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY MAINTENANCE OR ADJUSTMENT with the compressor in operation, the power connected, or air under pressure in the system.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SPECIFIC TO COMPRESSOR
1. TANK SAFETY VALVE: This valve prevents damage to the air receiver if a
malfunction in the compressor pump occurs. It is factory pre-set at a limit
specic to your particular model and adjustment. Do not tamper with it. This
will automatically void your warranty.
2. PRESSURE SWITCH: The air pressure switch is factory pre-set for optimum
performance. Do not bypass or remove this switch. Serious damage to
equipment or personal injury could result from too high an air pressure.
3. MOTOR AND COMPRESSOR PUMP: Air compressors get hot during operation. Do not touch the motor, discharge tubing, or compressor while it is run-
ning.
The compressor turns itself on automatically while the power is connected.
4. AIR TANK: Over-pressurizing the air receiver, piping or tank could cause
it to explode or burst. To protect from over-pressurizing, the compressor is
equipped with a factory preset safety valve. Do not remove, make adjustments
to or substitutions for this valve. Perform a test of the valve from time to time:
pull the ring on the valve to make sure that it operates freely. If the valve does
not operate freely, replace it before further use. Never weld to, drill into, or
change the air receiver in any way.
5. TAMPERING: If any of the components above are found to have been changed
or tampered with, the warranty will be made void. When servicing, we recom-
mend using only identical replacement parts and any replacement parts used
must have the same specication as the original equipment.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR NAILER/STAPLER
1. USE CLEAN, DRY, REGULATED, COMPRESSED AIR at 70 to 90 psi / 488 to
621 kPa / 4.88 to 6.2 bar.
2. DO NOT CONNECT TOOL to pressure which potentially exceeds 200 psi / 1379
kPa / 13.8 bar.
3. AIR HOSE Only use hose that is rated for a minimum working pressure of
150 psi or 150% of the maximum system pressure, whichever is greater.
4. NEVER USE OXYGEN, CARBON DIOXIDE, combustible gases or any other
bottled gas as a power source for this tool. Explosion and serious personal
injury could result.
5. COUPLINGS Connect tool to air supply hose with a 3/8" NPT coupling that

removes all pressure from the tool when the coupling is disconnnected.
6. DISCONNECT TOOL FROM AIR SUPPLY hose before doing any disassembly,
maintenance, clearing a jammmed fastener, leaving the work area, moving the
tool to another location, or handing the tool to another person.
7. NEVER USE A TOOL that is leaking air, has missing or damaged parts, or re-
quires repair. Make sure all screws and caps are securely tightened.
8. CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS. Never use a tool if safety, trigger, or spring
are inoperable, missing or damaged. Do not alter or remove safety, trigger, or
springs. Make daily inspections for the free movement of trigger and safety
mechanism.
9. REPLACEMENT PARTS. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts
and fasteners recommended by us.
10. TAKE CARE WHEN YOU CONNECT TOOL TO AIR SUPPLY. The fastener
driving mechanism may cycle when the tool is connected to the air supply.
11. ALWAYS ASSUME THE TOOL CONTAINS FASTENERS. Keep it pointed
away from yourself and others at all times. No horseplay. Respect the tool as
a working implement.
12. DO NOT LOAD FASTENERS with trigger or safety depressed. The tool may

unintentionally re a fastener.
13. DO NOT DEPRESS THE TRIGGER when not driving fasteners. Never carry
tool with nger on trigger mechanism: tool may re an unwanted fastener.
14. DON’T OVERREACH. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not
reach over or across machines which are running.
15. FIRE FASTENERS INTO WORK SURFACE ONLY: never into materials too
hard to penetrate.
16. GRIP TOOL FIRMLY to maintain control while allowing the tool to recoil away
from the work surface as the fastener is driven. If the safety is allowed to
recontact the work surface before the trigger is released, an unwanted fastener
will be red.
17. DO NOT DRIVE FASTENERS ON TOP OF OTHER FASTENERS, or with the
tool at too steep an angle: the fasteners can ricochet causing personal injury.
18. DO NOT DRIVE FASTENERS too close to the edge of the workpiece. The
workpiece is likely to split, allowing the fasteners to y free or ricochet causing
personal injury.
19. GUARD AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK. Prevent body contact with grounded
surfaces: pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerator enclosures. Before driving
fasteners into walls, oors, or wherever “live” electrical wires may be encountered, try to ascertain whether there is a danger of shock.

Your new air compressor can be used for operating paint, weed killer, and
insecticide sprayers, air tools, grease & caulking guns, sandblasters, ination, etc.,
although you should compare the air demands of the tool against this compressor’s
2.5 c.f.m. output (at 90 psi). A tool with a higher air demand than this compressor
can produce may either not function, or not function well. It may also cause the
compressor to run without stopping for long periods of time, trying to maintain
pressure in the tank. This can cause the either the motor or compressor pump to
overheat and damage them. Be sure the requirements of your tools can be met by
the compressor.
To compress air, the piston in the pump moves up and down in the cylinder. On
the down stroke, air is drawn in through the inlet valve. Since the discharge valve
remains closed, as the piston goes up, the air in the cylinder is compressed. The
inlet valve closes and compressed air is forced out into the air receiver. A check
valve prevents it from going back into the pump. Working air is not immediately
available. The pump continues to add air until the air receiver pressure builds to
above that required at the regulator.

COMPRESSOR
= Locate the compressor in a clean, dry and well-ventilated area, on a rm level
surface.
= It should be located 30 to 45 cm / 12 to 18 inches from a wall or any other
obstruction that would interfere with the air ow. It is equiped with heat
dissipation ns that allow for proper cooling. Keep them and other parts free
of dust or dirt that could interfere with cooling. A clean compressor runs cooler
and provides longer service.
= Do not place anything on top of the compressor.
= Do not use lead-tin solder to join pipes and ttings. It can melt at the tempera-
tures of the compressor’s air discharge and cause the piping to burst.
EXTENSION CORDS
If you plan to use an extension cord when operating your air compressor, please
note:
= Maximum length: not to exceed 15 m / 50 ft.
= Minimum wire size: 14 gauge.
If the extension cord is too long or the wire size is too small, the air compressor will
not start.
COMPRESSOR LUBRICATION
=CHECK THE OIL quantity and quality before operating the compressor. Do not
add or change oil while the compressor is in operation. Use only oil with the

correct specications. With the air compressor on level surface, the oil level
should be at the red dot on the oil level sight glass.
= If oil level is low, remove oil ll plug/breather cap, add enough oil to bring level
to the red dot. Do not over-ll.
= Replace oil ll plug before starting compressor.
BEFORE OPERATING COMPRESSOR:
= Check and ensure that oil ll plug/breather cap (27) is installed with o-ring (27a)
into crankcase (28).
= Check that nuts and bolts are all snug.

= Check the quantity and quality of oil (see compressor lubrication, above).
COMPRESSOR INITIAL BREAK-IN
1. Open Drain cock (57) to permit air to escape, so no air pressure builds up in
the air tank.
2. Plug power supply cord into correct power source.
3. Run the compressor in this no-load condition for 20 to 30 minutes to lubricate
the bearings and pistons.
4. Close the air tank drain cock.
5. Your compressor is now ready for use.
6. After 2 weeks, tighten all nuts and bolts, including head bolts.
AIR SYSTEM
= The brad nailer/stapler is designed to operate on clean, dry, compressed air,
regulated at 60-100 psi / 413 to 690 kPa / 4.13 to 6.9 bar. The preferred system would include a lter, a pressure regulator, and an automatic oiler located
as close to the tool as possible (within 15 feet / 5 meters is ideal). Do not use
bottled air or gases. Please see gure below:

Air Hose
= All compressed air contains moisture and other contaminants that can harm the
internal components of the tool. An air line lter will remove most of these and
signicantly prolong the life of the tool. Ensure the in-line oiler has sufcient
oil. If an in-line oiler is not available, place 2 drops of oil into the tool’s air inlet
at the beginning of each workday. More than this will be expelled from the
tool’s exhaust during ring.
= Air Fitting: The nailer should be equipped with a 1/4" NPT male plug for a ‘quick
connector’. To prevent accidental cycling even though disconnected, the tool
must always be connected to the air supply in such a way that all air pressure
in it is released when the coupling is disconnected.
CAUTION:
= All air line components (including hoses, pipe, connectors, lters, & regulators,
etc.) must be rated for a minimum working pressure of 150 psi / 1034 kPa /
10.3 bar or 150% of the maximum system pressure, whichever is greater.
= Disconnect the tool from the air supply before performing maintenance, clear-
ing a jammed fastener, leaving the work area, moving the tool to another location, or handing it to another person.

SETUP & OPERATION
CONNECTING THE TOOL
1. Turn the compressor on.
2. Set the regulator to proper pressure for the size for the size and type of
fasteners being used.
3. After reading and understanding this entire manual, connect tool to air supply.
CAUTION:
= Keep the tool pointed away from yourself and others at all times.
= Do not load fasteners with air connected, safety or trigger depressed.
= Always wear approved safety glasses and hearing protection when preparing
or operating this tool.
= Never use a tool that leaks air or needs repair.
LOADING THE FASTENERS
1. Disconnect the tool from the air supply. Do not load or adjust the tool if it is
connected to the air supply.
2. Depress the LOCK (61) to release the MOVABLE MAGAZINE (57) and pull the
magazine out fully as shown.
3. Place a full stick of the desired type and size of fasteners on the FIXED
MAGAZINE (53). Up to 100 fasteners can be loaded in the magazine.
4. Push the MOVABLE MAGAZINE UNIT (57) forward until the LOCK (61) clicks
and locks it.
5. The tool is ready to operate.

OPERATING THE TOOL
1. The depth to which a fastener is driven is determined by the depth adjustment
wheel below the trigger and by supplied air pressure. Test re a fastener into a
sample of the material you will be working on and check depth.
2. Make sure the air pressure is within the limits mentioned in SPECIFICATIONS.
3. Hold the BODY (24) and press SAFETY BRACKET ASSEMBLY (29) against
the work surface, being sure the tool is perpendicular to the surface.
4. Gently squeeze the TRIGGER (39) to drive the fastener.
5. Lift the tool off the work surface.
6. If a change is desired, rst adjust the wheel, turning it to the left for greater
depth and to the right for less.
7. Further adjustment can be had by adjusting the compressor regulator to supply
air at a higher or lower pressure. Test re another fastener and check depth
again.
8. Continue to adjust as necessary.
CAUTION:
= Keep tool pointed in a safe direction at all times.
= Never attempt to drive fasteners into materials too hard to penetrate, or at too
steep an angle, or too near the edge of the workpiece. The fastener can ricochet causing personal injury.
= Disconnect tool from air supply before doing any disassembly, maintenance,
clearing a jammmed fastener, leaving the work area, moving the tool to another
location, or handing the tool to another person.
= Clean and inspect the tool daily. Carefully check for proper operation of trigger
and safety mechanism. Do not use the tool unless both the trigger and the
safety mechanism are functional, or if the tool is leaking air or needs any other
repair.
CLEARING A JAMMED FASTENER
1. CAUTION: Disconnect the tool from the air supply.
2. Depress the LOCK (61) to release the MOVABLE MAGAZINE UNIT (57) and pull
the magazine out fully.
3. Remove any remaining fasteners from the tool.
4. Open the LATCH ASSEMBLY (45) and swing open the FRONT PLATE (47).

5. Use a slender, soft steel rod to push the drive blade to its uppermost position.
6. Remove the jammed fastener with needle nose pliers.
7. Latch the FRONT PLATE (47) closed.
8. Follow instructions in LOADING THE FASTENERS to reload fasteners.
COMPRESSOR MAINTENANCE
WARNING: BEFORE ANY MAINTENANCE OR ADJUSTMENTS TO YOUR AIR

COMPRESSOR, ALWAYS TAKE THE FOLLOWING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
1. Disconnect electrical power.
2. Open the drain cock to drain air tank of pressure.
DRAINING THE OIL
1. Remove the oil drain plug (oil level sight glass). Allow oil to drain completely.
2. Replace the oil drain plug (we recommend the use of a sealing compound or
teon tape to avoid leakage). Do not over-tighten.
3. Rell with the recommended oil to the red dot in the oil level sight glass.
DAILY MAINTENANCE
Before each use:
1. Check the oil level
2. Be sure all nuts and bolts are tight
3. Check for any unusual noise or vibration
After use: open the air tank drain cock to drain condensation from tank
MONTHLY MAINTENANCE

1. Inspect air system for leaks by applying soapy water to all joints. Tighten those
joints if leakage is observed.
2. Check that all nuts and bolts stay tight.

2. Paint spraying operations or dusty environments may require you replace oil
more often
CAUTION: All air line components (including hoses, pipe, connectors, lters, &

= Disconnect any tools from the air supply before performing maintenance,
clearing a jammed fastener, leaving the work area, moving the tool to another
location, or handing it to another person.
= When cleaning air lter, or any parts in direct contact with the air production,
do not use any ammable or toxic cleaner or solvent
= During the break in period, nuts and bolts have a tendency to loosen up. After
two weeks, tighten all nuts and bolts including head bolts.
